Facilities are not mediocre. It's for sustainability and to save natural resources. You cannot have wooden beds and wardrobes for 15 thousands athletes. Imagine how many trees had to be cut down.

Why nobody is willing to stay there? Why inspite of Government trying to sell the property but nobody is willing to buy? Not just India, there have been instances around the world were poor planning resulted in wastage of billions of dollars. Rio Olympics is a prime example of poor planning. That's why sustainability is important.
