2019 Jaguar F-Type SVR | Exhaust Notes

  • If you thought the F-Type R was loud, well the SVR takes it to another level. We’ve recorded many sports cars, even supercars before on our channel, but none come even close to this kind of savagery. Instead of a stainless steel system, the SVR’s exhaust is made from titanium and Inconel, allowing it to be lightweight yet able to withstand extremely high temperatures. And you seriously can’t help but wonder why the exhaust tips are pointed upwards, as if to direct the noise to people’s ears at a better angle. Read our full review at www.CanadianAutoReview.ca

      @Andres Schmittle We have a video of the GT350 here, and I agree with you. It sounds much more pleasurable to the ears than the sonically abrasive SVR: th-cam.com/video/ECm8oQ3RXes/w-d-xo.html

    @CanadianAutoReview I just drove 500 miles to test drive a 2019 svr based off this video and it wasn't even close to sounding like this. All the pops and crackles were gone, even in sport mode. Any idea why your review vehicle still sounded like the MY18?

    • @CanadianAutoReview
      @CanadianAutoReview  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aye Twinz Previous models had more of those crackles and pops dialed in. Slightly less so with the new model years (2019-2020)

    Is this better than the X5M and what mode is this driving on?

    • @CanadianAutoReview
      @CanadianAutoReview  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Very different noises. X5M is more refined, smooth, and burbly. The SVR is just obnoxiously loud and sonically abrasive. This is driving in full Dynamic Mode.

    • @CanadianAutoReview

    • @brianmccann5375
      @brianmccann5375 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Filters weren't added until 2021 in the US. The lack of crackling is from a software update meant to keep the cats from being worn out.

      Microphone mounted outside next to the exhaust. So what you're hearing in the video is noise right from the exhaust, not from the driver's seat.

  • @ThePrinceF
    @ThePrinceF 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Correct me if i'm wrong but I don't believe you bad the car in track mode because the speed cluster changes to red. Also, the gear shifter doesn't seem to have been shifted over to sport mode either - all this makes a massive difference in sound as I have an F-type myself.

    • @CanadianAutoReview
      @CanadianAutoReview  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The car was in fact in Dynamic mode - perhaps the video did not capture the red gauges very well. And the gear shifter was in the "S" position as well. You can see the difference of shifter position at the beginning when I had it in park, and later on when driving. Good eye, though!
