    Thanks CPG and Calvin for this. Wow. People couldn’t be lazier. Im reading thru comments to find valuable info. But all i see is questions asking if it fits this, if it fits that. READ guys, come on. Dude cant be any more clear. Fits 5, 6 and 7 series with n63/n63tu. If you don’t know what engine you have, maybe not a DIY for you... Anyway, use google, wiki, forums, whatever. Every engine ever put into any bmw platform is easily discovered with a VERY quick search. Also, if these instructions aren’t doing it for you-pay someone else. I put this at a 4.5/10 for install. Or as my dude Calvin says-its just like that.
    Changing downpipes on these beasts-now thats a challenge.
    Ps- intake tubes needed are for x5/x6 with the same motor..... intakes are routed towards front on those vehicles, not towards the rear as with these.

      Maybe you need to read more. Looks like it only fits N63 made for 2018 or newer based on round rather than oval intakes to the airboxs on earlier N63 cars (like my ‘14 N63). I guess you don’t know about that huh?

      @cpgperformance1352  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well it may appear to be difficult but once you remove them a couple of times they become easy and you know how to remove them going forward. But I agree that anytime it's someone's first time doing something it can appear to be much harder then it actually is. They do require a bit of constant pressure to be applied on both sides while pulling. Otherwise it's fairly easy.

    • @cpgperformance1352
      @cpgperformance1352  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Part of your statement is true while majority is incorrect. The truth is... You can hydrolock any car if you decide to drive (submerge) your car in water. However... There's no way shape or form that you'll hydrolock your car by driving in the rain whether it be factory or aftermarket intakes. If this was true... You'd be more worried about your factory setup vs aftermarket since your factory setup contains no filters up front. Also.... It would take a very bad horizontal rain storm to hydrolock while driving. 😂

    I always have this dumb question and correct me if am wrong..
    1.) since your cold air intake filters are in front of the grill , during heavy rain dont you think water and dust will be sucked into the airbox directly cause only one filter is available in front , it might get soak, and filled with dirts.
    2.) even though you have cold intakes the MAS job is to measure the amt of air going inside based on the mixture so no matter you have tons of oxygen going inside the mas will measure how much the engine needs and only allow that fuel mixture inside from fuel injection. so it should not make any difference..

I would like to see yours connected to know that they will fit into the tube, because the maf sensors are about 3 to 4 inches long and the wires connected to the sensors are short, so again for that kind of money, I would like to see that the sensors fit into the new tubing before I order this setup. @cpgperformance1352  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There's a big misconception that people have on driving in the rain with intakes. This intake is no different than the factory intake as far as routing is concerned. Actually... I'd be more concerned about driving in the rain with the factory intakes vs these. That's because the factory plastic routed to the front is open without a filter. However... the truth is... unless you submerge your car in water, you don't have to worry about driving in the rain with these intakes. The filters should sit back in the grill if installed properly. Also the aerodynamics of the car won't allow huge amounts of water to go into the grill area while driving as the water will flow over the hood because of the cars aerodynamics. With all of this said... you only have to worry about issues if you submerge your car in water and that's with any intake whether it's factory or aftermarket. I hope this helps...
