Hey Soler_builds here, pictured my car @13:04. Friends with the owner of N63intake, my car was the media car in the pics for the product, one of the first with front mounts. Tip: Install is a lot easier with the grill flaps removed so you don’t have to take off your bumper
For those interested, I just installed this kit. The front facing kit has a silicone hose to silicone filter inlet connection. With the filter silicone going inside the hose silicone. This is a huge no no in my book, so i bought some joiner adapters to make that a more solid connection. I also did 2x 45 degree hoses to get those cones away from the front chassis stabilization bars. also took me like 5 hours and i took the whole bumper off :)
The filters are washable in water but I still retain the adaptive grills so most likely won’t be in sport plus in the rain. The grills seem to only open in sport plus
I would imagine the air cones would need to be routinely cleaned, how difficult will they be to access for that after they are installed? No way I’m pulling my bumper off just to clean my air filters…
@jb_cars I drive my car everyday, F10 550i MSport, are you concerned about water (moisture) getting in with the intakes exposed like this when driving in rain?
Not at all since I still have the active grills. They only open in sport plus with the fans running so it sucks most air from the lower hatch underneath by the radar sensor.

I am mod-ing mine now
Your videos are great!!
Grow the channel sir!!!
Just did this on my F10 550i. CEL is on and is throwing code P00BE - any suggestions?
I know you were really tired at the end of the install. I hope your able to put out a video of how it sounds now that the intake is installed.
Check shorts
Can you change the the turbo inlets to the m5turbo inlets so u can run a different front mount in take
Any issues with debris or water getting into the filters?
Does this void warranty?
Would it not have been easier to just loosen the coolant reservoir and move out the way for space?? 🤔
You would have to remove the inner fender lining in the driver side wheel well to remove the bolts on the bottom
...and the active grilles aren't affected?
Not at all
My concern is what if i encounter rain?

@jbcars ahh ok thanks for the reply as this is a genuine concern for me.
@jbcars also from what I have read they open at low speed to help the engine cool and close at high speed for a better coefficient drag.
@@ericfoutchtsi that is exactly right my friend 👍
Do they fit on a 2017 M550i and can i put the Engine Cover back on so it doesnt Look tuned?
Yessir
Thanks brother@@jbcars

Just pull ur grills off
Do you have to retune?
Thank god the b58 isn’t this tight in the engine bay
This a m550i so it’s a n63 engine

Did you test this in a rainstorm yet? I'm wondering if the rain will affect the filters in anyway.
Yes I have, zero issues!
Thanks@@jbcars
Is this bluestone metallic?
Yessir
Hey, I saw your coils are red, are those the dinan's? And if they are, are you happy with them?
Yes they are and I’m very happy with them!
I also broke one of those coolant lines😂
Let’s get a video of the sound
Check shorts
Just pull the grills out and cut the grills that open and close. In that way still open all the time.
Oh that little clip was the worst. I also got a prybar and hammer and just broke the clip
Missing the content bro 🥲
