    So spiritually bewitching! The tone of his voice, what he says, the beats in the background music (tribal drums). "Let go" he says, if the subjects only knew.

    I don' t know how many times I watched the whole playlist, such an inspiration. I see some people reacting like "wtf"'; "who is this dude";... Simply the pioneer of Spinning, leading to the right mindset for the best experience possible. Sometimes you might think this is useless or too much and you need loud songs and "happy" classes but not only, this is the basis! love it

    Simply the master of Spinning, thats the way I try to start my classes, motivating my fellow bikers and trying to reach the best concentration level to end up with a perfect intense training. Love it, I can watch this intro over and over again

    I have been practicing spinning for 6 years and never had an instructor that spent half of the class talking. The idea is to be motivated and feel energetic from the beginning to the end. The music almost made me cry. I agree with JorgeDox, that video was like Yoga.

    None of you get it! I started with Johnny before the spin bike was invented. This WAS a spiritual experience. We were triathletes, we were riders of real bikes. Our best ride was when the power went out in a rain storm so he lit candles, used a boom box and we rode during a lightening and thunder storm. None of you will ever feel this joy of riding. Poor You!

    I´m a graduated P.E. teacher and Spinning instructor. In the beginning I used to take only the physical part. But I saw many good mind things in the martial arts, I practice karate and I’m Buddhist. So I thought "why not bring that kind of mind work to spinning?", visualization, concentration. My sessions are now crowded with people not only caring about exercise, but trying to forget a stressful day, and trying to feel good with themselves through exercise, and through mind relaxing. Cheers!

    i'm a spinning instructor and i don't think its cool to critisize any other instructor because all instructors has a unique way of teaching and motivating people, and secondly this guy is johnny G the man that invented spinning so , he created something great, some people prefer funcky, rocky, and shouty instructors and thats your own choice, but it does not mean its better believe me,

    @baggedyman I thought about that (electricity) too, but there aren't enough watts generated. It's better to just warm up the house in winter with the body heat and switch off the heating (but you would probably have to do at least a 3 hour workout).

  • @jefersonmatos

    @foleybarbarian The original idea of Spinning class is the communication between body and spirit in the exercise. So it truly is a physical and psychological class. It’s proven that a mind stimulated by music and positive thoughts can make the body work much harder than usual. The problem is that teachers don´t take the psychological part seriously, only the physical, so most people are not used to a more concentrating and spiritual kind of class. Exercise is not only body, bud mind and spirit.

    I lost 53 lbs in 2019 with this entire playlist (1-8). Yeah, it's zen (which I could do without) with a gimmick. But it works. Like being in a class room with other spinners. Ads can be disrupting though. But try it, you'll like it. Besides, it's FREE.

    @s2fitness I second that! He (Johnny) is the creator of indoor spinning. You will be surprised at how many people (that take spinning and have been taking spinning for years) actually DON'T KNOW THAT! How are we going to tell this man how to sit, do his movements.. etc, when he is the creator of it? That's like a podiatrist trying to tell a brain surgeon how to do his job. Now I have to admit, it does look like he don't have no neck sometimes when he's riding. But other than that Johnny Rocks!

  • @jefersonmatos
    @jefersonmatos 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @johntherockdotcom You don't have to take Johnny g seriously physically. The important part about this class is the psychological. Of course a lot of movements are wrong, I wouldn’t make that in my training sessions, but the concentration and mind work he talks about is very very important. Spinning is not only exercise. Half of it is psychological training. And the best way to practice exercise is when you feel good internally (not only body). So his idea works the way to feel good in training

    I use a couple of the spinning tracks in my classes for long flats and for some great gnarly hills - I tried using volume 10 for a whole class and they quickly lost interest. some were able to connect and enjoy the ride - but I wouldnt recommend using this for an entire class.

    My class would walk out or be ready to slit their wrists if I started them off like this. they come for a workout and not so much for meditation. this would would great for a cool down but starting out of the gate so slowly would spell disaster for me. /this mind/body meditative type of profile is good but you've got to set the mood to keep them coming back for more. this works for some but not for most

    Dont worry about offending them. I saw people in spinning classes in the winter, and all thru the summer thats all they did was spin, I dont get it. It's gotta be almost as bad as being on some kind of trainer/rollers. I see its something to do in the winter but not when you can ride a real bike. Oh well, to each his own. Some people will buy into anything I guess. A good point is you cant get run over or flat.

    well, that moving around was weird for sure and it does a have cult-feeling to it. But, all the vulgar comments say nothing more than the people who are saying them are vulgar. No one should be mad at that. Real criticism always takes the form of "what is wrong based on the specifics of the sport". Those that are vulgar is because they can't help it. Their punishment is being who they are. If you try to correct them, you are doing them a favor. So, people don't!!!. Let them be ignorant and vulgar…...
