Have a great girlfriend, where we first started dating we were younger and had to transition into being adults. Throughout that time I showed less attention, and focused on trying to figure it out; even using that as an excuse as to why I was acting the way. Just showing her attention and appreciating her more is something I’ll work on. She’s awesome and I’m glad I saw this.

I have a question, so yo said to appreciate everything about a person, even their bad sides, the things they do that drive you crazy and what not. How would you show appreciation to this? I mean if it’s something they’re doing that you don’t like then how do I show appreciation to that. I’m currently in an LDR and my girlfriend is the type of person who replies fairly late and isn’t the best at showing that she cares and even showing attention. I really do want to show appreciation because all I’ve been doing so far is trying to “fix” these “problems” but I want to change and be different for her. I want to appreciate her. So how would I show appreciation to those kind of things?

I try to keep him occupied but I have been it seems to not work, I can talk to him, I try to improve and listen to our relationship but he wont HELP ME! It isn't fair, I am doing this all by myself! I try to tell him what is bothering me but he wont listen or care! Well, he may listen but he still has no interest of helping me. I try to make him feel better, cheer him up, but he wont do the same. This is a one sided relationship and it's going downhill, I need as much advice and praying as possible. For both parts.

Brendon I Love Your Stuff man...Just Love It! Love your passion and the words of wisdom that just flow out of you mouth. And....I Love to 'share' that wisdom with my friend here in Poland. Those that speak 'perfect' English can sometimes keep up (almost) with your speed and energy and understand maybe half of what you say. Those that don't speak 'perfect' English, well, there's no way they can keep up and understand anything really. They can feel the positive energy but don't have an understanding of what you're saying.
I have only one request, can you make your videos available for captioning? I see on some videos on TH-cam that they can be translated and captioned. Your's unfortunately don't have the captioning ability. My friends say that even the auto generated English subtitles help them. If they're available for captioning I'd be more than willing to have some of them even translated via Amara.
Thanks again for such a wonderful and inspirational video.

I’m crying watching this. I love my guy so much, I give all the attention, do everything to makes him happy but I don’t feel appreciated at all. I always get ignored. My text will get reply in a day. Simple text just wanna know how was his day going also unanswered and leave hanging. When I tell him to give me little attention he’ll go silent for days even a month. I’m so tired ..it’s only a year and I feel he lost interest in me. But whenever I ask what he feels towards me, he still say he love me but his action didn’t show up. Feels like dying

I can certainly attest to the importance of genuine attention:
    1) Totally dislike when people ask you how you or your family are doing but don't make eye contact or are fiddling around with other things while you reply; totally RUDE :(! It's like why bother asking at all when you don't really care!
    2) My husband and I noticed that his brother was totally glued to his smart phone during his entire visit with us (even when we were speaking with him and no, he wasn't on call etc.). Very sad but true... his wife just separated from him 2 months ago and they are definitely headed for divorce :(.

Hi Brandon, thanks for the video! I read through the rest of the comments and I cannot be more agreeable when they mention that words of wisdom just flow of your mouth. I just wanna thank you for the book, the emails (they're indeed not the repetitive type) and for always coming up with such diverse range of videos with the same, helpful and motivating intention.
Here are some videos I'd like you to share with us if possible, since we're in the topic of relationship:
    1. How have or how do you intend to nourish your child in the growing teen years? How do you keep that father to son/daughter relationship great while at the same time adjusting you tone, degree of discipline and the amount of time given to be with them?
    2. I'm sure you have a pretty great relationship w yourself too! You always look charged, ready, alert and I wanna know if there's anything or a routine you do in the morning when you're up, at night before you hit the sack and in the mid afternoon when most of us really just wanna nap. Haha! How do you fuel you body as well as you fuel your mind?
    3. I find myself reserved on most times; at work or at a gathering. What are some of the ways I which I can express my existence without appearing aloof/ serious/ emotional?

If in laws, acts are mostly more important than intention then in relations, intention is maybe more important for honest people. If you have difficulties to say good things to those awful people who just want bad things for you, you are authentic ! Congratulations ! This is very rare quality in these days. Keep it and never think that you are a person with relational problems. Imagine one day when all those garbages will be cleaned, how will authentic people be together ?!

So sorry to hear about that
Most people get caught up in a situation where they fall deeply in love with someone that gives them all they’ve been looking for in a relationship, they feel that comfort and security whereas the person does not actually love them. How can you get out of such situations?

What do you do when your partner has done something you dont appreciate and you dont adore like treat someone else with disrespect or cheat on you or these kind of things?
How do YOU personally approach relationship hardships?
    Got 3 pointers for that?
Would LOVE to know you take on it.
