"It's easy to come home from a race and throw it up on the shelf..." - but that's NOT what Adam Drake does. 😁 You Sir, are the King of maintenance! I've probably seen many of your videos at least three times. Always helpful.

I think it's important that even if you don't have a specific "After Run Oil" you can use many, many other types of oil in your engine after use. 3 in 1 oil is cheap and readily available.

Man, after watching you do any type of engine work, I feel like a 9 year old who just got his first tyco Radio Shack truck. And on top of that I have a million questions! And on top of that thank you for donating your precious time to helping us all learn the ins and outs of how this all works, and how to keep it working! I’m incredibly grateful for what you do Adam, and in a short while, even though I’m a year late to this video, I’m sending you one of my engines to work on. You Rock buddy!! 👏👏👏👏👏🏆🏆🏆🏆

  • @jimmiller7361

I never use after run oil.! I have a tendency to drive my vehicles once and then put it on the shelf for years sometimes. That after run oil will gum up your bearings and you will have to clean your engine before you can run it, IF you let it sit for a long time, I simply drain the tank start the engine and then do my after run procedure with WD-40.. several circulations of that and you will be good to go for years! I respect THE DRAKE a lot and I'm not saying what he is saying is wrong at all, it's just a difference of opinion, I've been doing this for over 30 years and you don't have to be a pro to learn how to take care of stuff after that long..
