    Love all the targa line, if only I had the $$$, my favorite is the 37 but this would make a great geoduck/sea cucumber boat for my brother , install and close off part of the berth area with a custom surface supplied dive package and install a generator it would be perfect , use the rest of the berthing area for dive gear storage, converts the fly bridge area to stack cages and he would be setup with the nicest geoduck/sea cucumber boat in the puget sound fleet

    Sure looks to go well and handle the chop with ease. Mind you, with only a single cabin, workboat looks, and still costing a quarter of a million pounds , it really should do something exceptionally well....

      Targa's are mostly commuter boats, and they have huge brand name in Finland so many rich people buy them because its a Targa and you'll get a certain admiration at the marina if you moor your Targa there. Obviously theyre not designed with indoor volume in mind. Theyre designed the way they have been for decades which is to get a bunch of people and luggage from the mainland to the islands or back in almost any weather, safely and quickly. The hull is thick, the materials are top notch, it takes big engines (aka expensive). To design otherwise would be brand suicide for Targa.
      They do have competition nowadays, from the likes of Sargo, Nord Star and Axopar. There's also a hardcore competitor in the form of Greenbay Marine with their G-force boats.

    Wow! So I was considering the Jeanneau 795 but this is so much better. How much is the dry weight? It looks trailerable (just) Any chance of an OB instead of SD? Love it. Twin outboards and a trailer would open it up to a whole new market.

      Its 4100 kg (just over 9000 lbs), so I dont think youre gonna trailer it. It has option for outboards, 2x250 or 2x300.

    If I were in the market for a great river boat, this would be it. What a boat with the 400 engine. Love the head. Would have to change one thing. Fly bridge gauges and radar. Other than that, what a boat. What’s the price with that set up?

      If you choose the GT version with outboards you can put. Seakeeper where the inboard engine is in this film. Otherwise is it hard to get one in. I am having it done now but with the outboard solution.

    Its price is on the range of 280k Honestly, should be 200k MAX! This price is for +35 boats that has at least 2 cabins and full shower. Even though its great, I still believe its way overpriced.

    • @eddieguyvh4765
      @eddieguyvh4765 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You sure can find bigger boats for less, of course. But they won't be remotely as tough, well built and seaworthy as a Targa. Even a 25 year old Targa Hull still is an absolute reference today. Expensive, but worth the price honestly. A bit like Boston Whaler.

    • @rykehuss3435
      @rykehuss3435 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@eddieguyvh4765 Its all about what you want for your money. Targa's here in Finland are seen more like rich people's status objects though. Because youre paying a lot more for less indoor volume and amenities compared to some actual cruising boats. And the rich owners are not taking their precious Targa's out in force 5+ conditions.

    • @rykehuss3435

      20-35 knots, depending on conditions and engines and how much fuel you wanna burn. Max is 35-44 knots, depending on engines.

    The Sargo boats are far better in my opinion

    • @paulnorman8274
      @paulnorman8274 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pound them into waves while overloaded for 10 years, and see which one holds up the best.....
      They're both top notch. No idea if one is "better" than the other. The added bracing of the cabin; from small hatches instead of a giant sunroof, floor cut out for the "flybridge", lack of a fore-cabin, and perhaps the straight across front dash done in solid timber; makes for a cabin very well braced to resist the development of creaks and rattles under prolonged hard use on the Targa. But is the Sargo holds up well enough, that may all be moot.
