I’m deeply concerned that Blizzard doesn’t at least consult with David. I would feel a lot better knowing he had some limited involvement in D2R and D4. He’s the Godfather of Diablo and a gaming visionary. It makes zero sense not to bring him in

Most people have already done most quests in the game, so they already know the information that Questie is giving them. I think there is an argument to be made for playing with no AddOns, but in the grand scheme of things AddOns don't give as much of an advantage as World Buffs. Furthermore, I mainly use AddOns to clean up my screen because the standard UI is not pretty.

The geniuses at Blizz already have decided to reduce the ladder to 4 months, which is moronic, and to make it so ladder items/runewords dont work on single player... which has killed "Holy Grail" classes. They're absolutely going to fuck up D2. No doubt about it.
Lets hope that with the power of community, we can be loud enough to not let them hurt the game as much as help it.. its a longshot but im here trying!
The remaster is still facing some problems. People using the fastest cast rate were able to teleport so fast that the game couldn’t keep up rendering terrain at the corners of 1080, 4k screens. No clue if they have fixed it.
If you replay the original diablo hardcore mode ( you have to manually delete your char if you die), and no duping, you will discover a whole new game and you'll be addicted. Softcore diablo 1 with duping is a joke. Play it the right way and you'll see what I mean.
No instanced loot. There is a certain element of tension when you know you are trying to get the loot and the others too. And it can lead to connections if someone gives it to you voluntarily. Or you can be charitable and give it to others. I was never that good at picking it up but it was always thrilling to do. Also I want if you die that all your equipment drops and can be plundered by other players. I want my skill and my decisions to have a weight in the game and not be streamlined away. (Edit: Autogold pick up is fine, it doesnt add anything to the game)
@Dam Sen There have been some advancements when it comes to cheating since 2001. I am hopeful they can prevent cheating without drastic design changes such as this.
@Dam Sen I never liked it. Also there is a lot of games to play with instanced loot. For example Diablo 3 and Diablo 4 and dozends others. Maybe just maybe let a remaster be like its original and not change it.

Ever since Diablo 2, his career has been in a downward spiral, so it's kinda laughable to see him preaching all the time about what's good and what's bad for the gaming industry, when everything he did for the last two decades is complete and utter garbage.
So this is the guy responsible for at least half of the good memories of my childhood.

Brevik has been responsible for 3 of my favorite ARPGs: Marvel Heroes (RIP), Path of Exile and of course Diablo 2. The guy is a master of this genre.
