He won a few slams here and there after 2011. He stopped being dominant in 2009. He still was ably to beat Novak 23 times, that’s a big deal. No disrespect for Roger, he is excellent. However nadal and Novak are waaaaaaay better.

His retirement means nothing to Novak, because Roger's last win over him was during the group stage in Nitto Finals in 2019, and that win meant nothing to either of them.His last win over Novak in any tournament was back in 2015 in Cincinnati, so he hasn't been a threat to Novak for 7 years before his retirement.
