I’ve been wearing my Series 8 Pepsi GMT for 10 days straight, only taking it off for showers, and on day ten it’s 3 seconds fast. Total. I don’t know if it’s a fluke, but I’m definitely getting the Batman next. Amazing watch, you won’t be disappointed.
My Batman is on the way. Love Citizen. I have two Satellite GPS Models and they are atomic time accurate. Nothing can compare for accuracy. They take great care making their watches and the materials and finishes are great. Got this GMT for traveling.
This is my first citizen watch. I felt very compelled by the gold, and I generally prefer silver. After trying them on my wallet didn't have a chance. I picked up the gold they all look great, very comfortable bracelet too. Little chunky, but I think it looks great on my wrist.
I agree great “ bang per buck “ piece and this can be found on some websites at under US$1600 which is a deal . Some watch snobs will look down on Citizen but I don’t care .
I have looked at many videos on this watch and this one was very informative. I am not a huge Citizen fan but I will say the fact that you can purchase a true GMT for the quality and the price certainly is very enticing. I have owned a Rolex GMT and a Tudor GMT- the Rolex and affiliates have just become ridiculously priced.
I am glad you did a video on this watch. It seems there has not been much out there, and your videography is typically better than just about all the rest anyway. While I tried this on at a watch show and felt it was a bit chunky for me, I really want to spend more time with it on wrist if I get the chance. Maybe I dismissed it too quickly. There really is some great light play on that bracelet, which I did not notice in the lighting I had when it was on wrist.
Wonderful!!! Brava Citizen!!! That's the way to go!! Batman one is my favourite, I'd like to see a coke one, will crash competition as ain't a coke gmt from big good brand.
I don't know if it's a great bang for buck, but I love it. I prefer silver to gold, but trying these on on my wrist, the way the light hit it, i had to get the gold.
I don't like it as design but yes, it's a great value. However, there are other flyer GMT wacthes under 2K. In fact, I can think of one under 1K: Traska Venturer.
@@BornaBosnjak I have it and it is very comfortable and it doesn’t wear too large on my wrist. My wrist is 7” and I’m a 6’-3” tall guy so maybe that’s why it wears smaller on my wrist.
The ocean star bezel action is one of the worst I’ve ever experienced and the indices were off I can’t imagine this citizens fit and finish would be that low.
This seems like an amazing value. But, I wish the term true GMT would disappear. Caller GMT’s accurately show GMT time. They are not as convenient for travelers. Therefore, doesn’t traveler’s GMT make more sense. All that said, this is a good review of a cool watch.
the pepsi and the batman one are currently on sale for 1000 USD (1499AUD) at one of my favourite watch retailers (which made me check TH-cam videos of them) but it kind of looks cheap to me 😅 probably went on special cause others agree and they cant move stock haha
I´m a newbee in watches. This awesome Citizen Watch with the pepsi color - accidently caught my attention. Since last week, I watched a lot of youtuber video. last Friday I went one more time to the store, and have a try on! I LOVE IT!!! I love to buy one, even though- the price tag is hight for me. I use to buy watche from Casio between 20- 150€. PS.: I can´t make up my mind, which model to go. The "pepsi" one, that initialy caught my Attention, or The "Batman" One, with Black N Blue design?
There is another US brand...Jackmason i think, using the same miyota gmt movement, which sell for less than US1k. I personally think that look better than this and at much better value 👍
Although i find the watch attractive i wouldn't go for it at the price-point. I don't see why you wouldn't go for a Bulova or even better a Strato-Timer GMT instead. And why isn't the crown signed?
My vote goes to the Gavox Longitude with the 9075. Just around $1000 and you get a Grand Seiko style wave dial, bidirectional SS bezel and date at 6. Not all GMTs have to look like a Rolex.
Christopher Ward has GMTs that can compete with this. They are actually lower in cost. Mido has a GMT that can compete with this. So there’s two right off the top of my head.
What I wonder though is why the hell we call heavy steel bracelet watches with fragile mechanical movements, so called “sports watches”. They’re really not. The watches are awfully heavy on a bracelet, and the movements are horrible in terms toughness needed to deal with many sports compared to analogue or digital quartz.
Can't unsee the mix of copies: . Dial with the texture of CW Twelve . Bezel colors of Rolex GMT master II . Bracelet Tissot PRX style with center links of Patek's Nautilus . Clasp of Oris Pro pilot X . Thick as a Seiko 5 Great "design" team 👎
You know that CW literally hired the designer for Czapek (Anarticque, specifically), and freely admitted that much. It’s so close to the Anarticque that I think they barely had the requisite 7 to not be sued. Also on their web site, they unabashedly paid homage to Genta. Oh, also heavily “inspired” by Zenith, too. Rolex did designed the bezel for Pan America pilots since the 60’s and practically every tool watch had ventured there since. The Tissot bracelet is so ubiquitous that it might as well been designed by a guy named John Smith. If you want innovation and originally, cite Mosers, MB&F, Urwerk, ALS, Cartier, or even Nomos. And before being too indignant, study the history of Citizen and Miyota.
no thanks, i don't even have to hold this in hand, just watching you hold this in hand, already tells me plenty why this watch only cost 1600 dollars. that loose tolerance and poor fit and finish is absurdly bad. of course you cannot expect high quality at this price level, so most buyers just prefer to avoid this price level altogether, no difference here with this piece, hence the no thanks.

Great to see you covering this. I love Citizen (my first mechanical) and these look fantastic.
I agree great “ bang per buck “ piece and this can be found on some websites at under US$1600 which is a deal . Some watch snobs will look down on Citizen but I don’t care .
It's their loss. Citizen has been killing it.
I have looked at many videos on this watch and this one was very informative. I am not a huge Citizen fan but I will say the fact that you can purchase a true GMT for the quality and the price certainly is very enticing. The AR on this is phenomenal

As someone with a smaller wrist, this is on the larger end for sure - but still feels quite comfortable despite the size. Give it a chance!
I love this Citizen, and I agree it's a great value watch for what it offers. A great "Flyer" GMT movement with integrated bracelet design.
Wonderful!!! Brava Citizen!!! That's the way to go!! Batman one is my favourite, I'd like to see a coke one, will crash competition as ain't a coke gmt from big good brand.
Love this would love to try this in Australia 😊
its currently on a big sale at Starbuy ($1499 instead of 2250rrp) which is an Australian watch/jewellery online retailer
I don't know if it's a great bang for buck, but I love it. I prefer silver to gold, but trying these on on my wrist, the way the light hit it, i had to get the gold.
Absolutely cool! Thanks! Great channel!
Beautiful, nothing more and nothing less
Great review pal.
there are a few out there TRUE GMT for under $2K
Could this have a cyclops over the date added?
Looks great. Just wish they made the sweeping hand a little more interesting. Arrowhead or at least a lollypop.
nice video, what is your wrist size? could this be fit on 7,5 inch wrist?
they are now for only 1200 Euro and 1300 Euro for the gold one, amazing price
Thank you for the video! I bought one and loving it! Subscribed
not a business shark, but i think they would do well with a grand citizen or pro max ultra branding
I don't like it as design but yes, it's a great value. However, there are other flyer GMT wacthes under 2K. In fact, I can think of one under 1K: Traska Venturer.
Imagine there is a Rolex logo instead of the citizen how much would that be?
I love the idea of this watch but I hate the dial texture and the font on the bezel, they both just make it feel cheap to me. It deserves better.
Beautiful watch
The Mido Ocean Star GMT. Offers that for even less money! That Citizen looks gorgeous!
Good call out - my one gripe with it is that it's 44mm in diameter which makes it really difficult if you're not a fan of bigger watches.
@@BornaBosnjak I have it and it is very comfortable and it doesn’t wear too large on my wrist. My wrist is 7” and I’m a 6’-3” tall guy so maybe that’s why it wears smaller on my wrist.

39mm would be an instant buy

I really like it!👍🏼😎
Is bazel made by ceramic?
Swiss made watch to compete with this one: Glycine Combat Sub GMT? maybe? that is around $600

yeah just picket picked one up for 964, im not sure how it looks cheap, it s very high quality

I'm thinking of picking up the Pepsi on for my birthday.
The statement about it being half the price of a Swiss Made "true" GMT is incorrect, Mido offers this exact set of specs at $1300 - $1600
I guess you haven’t heard of Mido
There is another US brand...Jackmason i think, using the same miyota gmt movement, which sell for less than US1k. I personally think that look better than this and at much better value 👍
Very well executed
what about longines new GMT??? it is close to $2K, it is better than the tudor in my opinion
The Longines is closer to $3000
Wise true gmt
Although i find the watch attractive i wouldn't go for it at the price-point. I don't see why you wouldn't go for a Bulova or even better a Strato-Timer GMT instead. And why isn't the crown signed?
Wise gmt is only 770 and looks a lot better
Certina gmt 41 mm swiss made 😊
I DIG it!!👌
I like it but the price is a bit 🔥
True GMT function not demonstrated....
I’d say the Seiko Presage GMT represents better value as it is about 500 dollars cheaper and has a more unique design and is also a flyers GMT.
My vote goes to the Gavox Longitude with the 9075. Just around $1000 and you get a Grand Seiko style wave dial, bidirectional SS bezel and date at 6. Not all GMTs have to look like a Rolex.
MIDO MARINE STAR GMT

So there’s two right off the top of my head.
Mido is about 3 classes below this
ロレックスGMTマスター2、そのままやんけ。モノマネ乞食は貰いが少ない、との諺をシチズンに捧ぐ。
Come on, ever heard of Pan America?
If you are gonna be indignant, at least know that watch history went back before the 16710.
Lmao

What do you want them to come kiss ur ass.

I just picked up the gold. I love it.
