Today we are unboxing another WISE, that if you follow my channel KNOW is one of my favorite microbrands!! Hand assembled in Thailand, each and every one was incredibly well made with almost no foreign materials found even under macro and with impecable finish. Their quality is so high and so consistent for the price, I started reffering to them as Grand Seiko of Microbrands!
The ADX is a TRUE travelers GMT as it uses a Miyota 9075 that allows you to move the hour hand independently, so changing time zones as you travel is easy and you don't have to stop the minutes and seconds, unlike more common "caller" GMT that we usually see on microbrands that use Seiko NH34 and ETA based GMT movements, where you can move the GMT hand instead of the hour hand.
This being WISE, they also made a PROPER GMT bezel that is not only bidirectional, but also has 72 clicks, as a GMT bezel should have. Again, most microbrands out there simply slap a GMT insert on to an existing diver bezel that is usually 60 or 120 clicks and unidirectional, showing WISE IS on a another level.
It is also another model of theirs done in 904L steel, the same one used by Rolex, instead of the more common 316L, and it comes on their new bracelet that, despite having T-shaped male end links, doesn't increase the total lug to lug of the watch, thanks to a clever design.
This is definitely THE BEST WISE I've handled so far and IMHO the best GMT under $1.000 on the market!

this miyota movement was such a game changer for affordable traveler gmt's. citizen doesn't get nearly the amount of credit it deserves.
Wise makes some incredibly beautiful and incredibly well built watches for the money. For *under* $1,000usd this is absolutely worth it. This in this exact rootbeer(ish) color way will be added to my collection. I can't wait to see your full review after you've worn it for some time. Thank you.

Doomed……we are doomed. Tiny, little hands in a tiny, little machine. Any decent Physicist will confirm…..time is NOT a thing(y). Doomed……watch collectors are doomed. BUT, when all this hatred and fear, and violence going on….man, I think about my little collection and I’m better :-) Great hobby!

That's pretty cool that they include the right kind of Loctite (222 I believe) for the screws. WISE has become one of the more interesting micro-brands for me. If I wanted a flyer GMT I'd choose the Miyota 9075, and it would probably come down to WISE vs. Jack Mason. I'd love to have a 904L watch in my collection, and there I'd be choosing between BALL and WISE.
Wise really needs more recognition its one of the best microbrands period imo

My Bulova Wilton has the same movement and it's been very reliable.

I think for under 1k, this watch is worth it to buy. Its a GMT,looks luxury enough and that dial is simple i really like it. Unlike some gmt watch there's so many number on the dial which make it looks messy, well that's my opinion about this😅. Thanks to this channel, i just learn about this brand today.
Also an owner of the ADX120 and it's an eyecatcher. It's one of two WISE timepieces I have and they do not disappoint at all! It's an industry sleeper. I'd love to visit or see a video of their watches being assembled and tested.
An absolute beauty. Incredible value. This one is on my hot list. Impressed with every aspect of this watch. I really like the fact that the bracelet doesn't taper. I do not like tapered bracelets. Nice review

Very good looking watch. Really like the whole design and the dial is interesting. It's understandable that the GMT hand is just hitting the inner ring. Well worth the price. Only things I'd add is some taper on the bracelet, and a nice engraved caseback. The Miyota isn't really worth displaying. The lume is very impressive. I do like a good lume performance. Thanks for the video ! Look forward to seeing more about this watch.

Agreed this watch has almost everything going for it, except logo design and name, I agree it’s good value for the money but todays society demands a fantastic wow of a logo or a name, dare to be different your pals will be like meh 🫤
I'm guessing it's not glue but Loctite, which is something that bands like Sinn do also provide. It's a nice touch nevertheless.
Lovely watch, I own a Wise and they are great watches..But..if your buying form the UK don’t forget to add 20% to the price…it make the value proposition a little tighter ino, ..but still a lovely watch and maybe still good value with the additional 20%
What a timely video for me. I’m considering purchasing one; the sunburst gray dial with gray/ black bezel or green/black one. Now you have me considering this model too…😂 I’m a female w/6” wrist and WISE told me the fit would be fine. I’m looking forward to your macro shots! The WISE YT video wasn’t very impressive with the bezel you showed; the brown looked dull & coppery.

If this watch had a very accurate movement in it, such as the ones Tudor uses from Kenissi Manufacture, I’d buy it ASAP.
Wow. Saw the one with the gold bezel. Ordered one. Interesting tactic they use though, $200 off first time you try adding it to your cart. Next time, less discount. I noticed if I go back now it's $1540, not $1,500.
Love it. May try to sell my Seiko sharp edge GMT for this, which resembles the Oris GMT that I loved but had only a caller GMT. This one would fit my wrist better.

Good looking watch but Wise use NH seiko movements. One could build their own custom watch for 200 or have a custom built for a similar price.
Only thing I would like to see Wise change is the polished centre links of the bracelet

Great watch for the price. Seiko doesn't do anything as good for the price.
Beautiful watch. How accurate is it right out of the box? If it is 15 seconds out a day it is a nice paperweight.
It is regulated and while I can't speak for this watch specifically (yet), my Wise Hitman watch came in at about +0.33 seconds a day when I first got it.

Ive started a collection of watches under $1000. Every box is either a different size or not rectangular, and its getting annoying because you cannot stack them on top of each other nor can you shelve them like books. Its more ridiculous if you want to see the box before buying it, right? im looking for a box maker where i can buy 50 boxes, stack them like books and pick one box off the rack when i want one for a particular event. Is that sensible?

Wanted a Wise, but they use wayyy too much polish on their watches for some odd reason. Glad this one is different, though I hate the polish on the bracelet.
There's a limited edition version with a green dial that comes on a curved ends rubber strap instead.

How is the precision of the movement per day?
This example is under a second a day late, which means I can keep it pretty much spot on by taking it off at night and laying it on its back (as that speeds it up to regain that fraction of a second lost)

They havent tried very hard to make it not like a GMT II nave they? My biggext question would be, who's idea was it to have a Black and Brown bezel? Does this model also have a nickname like Dark & Milk?
The color scheme is known as the root beer. I agree the case and the bezel say Rolex but the dial resembles the Oris Aquis. Taste is opinion of course but I really like this love child of the two watches.
My problem with this kind of watchs it’s the fact that they look to much like a Rolex…

It would be perfect without this "gold" color.
There's five different colorways, the one in the video is the only one with the gold handset and indices. All the other ones are silver.

There are a ton of 9075 based GMTs. Wise is not ahead or special here.

Disfigured proportions, lug-to-lug distance too long, lugs themselves too basic, finish way to shiny and the dial looks like something from Daniel Wellington. An unattractive watch. Buy a Seiko, Certina, Tissot or Longines. Used, if necessary.

I'm pretty much in agreement with you, but ultimately have to say that I far prefer the design of the AD8. Nkt that this is badly done. Not at all. I prefer it to the Rolex, but the additional time zone with a pretty promounced bezel makes it all quite busy for my taste. I woudl tend to agree, though, that probably the AD8 would be even better with just a couple of brushed accents. That would really finish it off 8n accordance with its genre, as they did on the bronzes. Except for that, arguably the only thing I prefer on this ADX is the hour hand. I'm perfectly fine with AD8's hour hand, but knowing it could have been shaped like this, I think that would be even better. I also very much like the crown guards here, but they wouldn't be right on the AD8. I guess, for me, I wouldn't decide to swap watches just to have differentiating finish from a brand, but then you seem quite enthusiastic about all the ADX represents.
If you glue it i assume you cant unscrew it or you will shere head.
