      @juliodelgadillo8510 slow down, you're clearly a newbie jumping head first and overspending.
      Trust me, in 5 years you will have wished you saved up and studied and bought 5 nice watches rather than 15 okay watches.
      I did the same thing with many hobbies when I was young. Years ago I did the same thing with knives and guns and pens and other man hobbies.
      In each thing, I wish I would have spent the same amount of money but on like 1/3rd of the number of things I bought, if that makes sense.
      Lol, I did that same thing with jiu jitsu gis and boxing gloves when I first got into BJJ and muay Thai 10 years ago. I have like 20 gis but I wish I would have 7 very nice ones instead of like 2 very nice ones and a bunch of medium level ones. Same with gloves, I wish I had like 2 pairs of custom Winning brand gloves rather than 8 pairs of Fairtexs and other mid level brands.
      Stop where you're at and don't buy another for at least a year.
      One thing I've learned in every hobby I've been involved in is that your tastes mature and change as you continue. Things I thought were cool in the first year of the hobbies I eventually found to be corny or brash or crude a few years later.

    • @Michi-b7q
      @Michi-b7q 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why? If you have the cash and really enjoy it.

    • @Silence-and-Violence
      @Silence-and-Violence 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @user-oe9mn8uw3c because if you continue in the hobby your taste will mature and develop and you will regret moat of the amateur purchases you made and wish you had fewer, better pieces instead of more, lower quality ones.
      Unless you're so rich that money almost doesn't matter, then do whatever you want.
      But most of us are only going to be able to spend so much money in a lifetime on any given hobby. So if I'm going to spend $10k on watches in my lifetime, I can tell you from experience with many other hobbies that most people will have preferred to spread $10k across 2-5 pieces rather than 20 cheaper pieces.
      The same is true for me and almost everyone I know who continued enjoying things like watches, pens, knives, firearms, etc.

    So many brands who make more affordable integrated bracelet watches (CW, Tissot, Citizen, Direnzo etc) are missing a trick IMHO by not making 38mm versions. Its probably the perfect size for this type of watch for a lot of wrist sizes yet no one seems to have made one yet?

    Citizen has been a major player in the watch world since the 70s - it's just been overshadowed by Seiko and Casio, but as far as I'm concerned, Citizen beats them both in many aspects (not all) and it was the first watch I ever purchased as a teenager 20+ years ago. This new release is no different, it punches WAY above its weight class and it's finished well. And since I'm here I'll also remind folks how Citizen was also the very FIRST watch brand to implement and utilize titanium (I'll stay away from mentioning Eco-Drive because we're talking automatics) cool video Max 👍

    I own both a Tsuyosa (ice blue) and a PRX (dark blue), and while the Citizen is a really nice, everyday watch with great finishing and a beautiful bracelet, after almost a year it still didn't "click". Everytime I wear my PRX, I just can't stop looking at it. The stunning bracelet that shimmers in the light, the sunburst dial that ranges from an almost black tone to a breathtaking navy blue, the handset, the indices.... I feel like to me, the overall package is more coherent and pleasing for the eyes than the Tsuyosa's. Again, just my 2 cents. But it's interesting to see other perspectives and opinions - that's what's so great about our hobby after all! 🥰

And if you really don’t like the plastic in a mechanical movement, save yourself the $300 and get a quartz one! Go gold for that budget Vacheron 222 feel 🤤

    I have the original Tsuyosa in Tiffany blue and really like it. The 3 things I don't like about it is the limited power reserve, the rather large spaces in between the links on the bracelet, and the difficulty using the small crown that's flush against the case. Considering I paid just under $300, I can't complain. This updated Tsuyosa has a much nicer looking dial, a better movement, and more power reserve. The bracelet looks the same though and the price went up $200. Comparing it to the PRX, I'd have to see them side by side.

Luckily, many brands like Certina or Mido are Now using only Powermatic 80, the 25 jewels version, which does not have any synthetic material. Price is of course a factor, while Tissot can offer automatic watches around 650-750EUR with the 23jewels powermatic, Certina and Mido with the 25jewels powermatic offers from 750 and above. Tsuyosa always should have been 36-38mm, but if it had to be 40mm I don't understand why they didn't use a daydate movement in it. Miyota makes a full day date 8 series automatic movement that I've never seen used anywhere except cheap Chinese Rolex Daydate homages. It could have been the perfect movement.

    Got myself a small second. Honestly feels so good on the wrist and I love the crown placement, I'm a 24/7 kind of guy, I hate removing my watch. For an automatic watch it is incredible accurate, while the 8322 movement is rated at -20~+40 seconds a day I am currently at +5 seconds a days (so all I need to do is pull out the crown for 15 seconds every 3 days and I'm sorted). I'll have to disagree with you for the night though, I find myself able to still tell the time at 6 in the morning with the watch not being to bright to be distracting while in bed.

    Great video, but what do you think about this watch against the prx. They are similar and even if the prx is pretty much better all around I think , is it 2x times better for the price which is doubled? I’m trying to understand if the extra 400euros are worth it or just mainly branding.

    Never liked the way the round bezzel of the PRX disrupted the lines of the watch. So I recently got me a green dial 2nd generation D1 Milano automatic, which I like way better. It also has the Miyota 9015 movement.
    I wonder what your thoughts are on that watch 🤔.

    This one's a swing and...well, *not* a miss, but more like a base hit rather than a home-run. Would I take it over a PRX? Certainly, but the PRX never quite set my boat afloat either. I agree that a 9000-series movement in a thinner case would put it over the top.

    The Quartz ETA F06.115 used in the Tissot PRX and Couturier is actually pretty amazing. I prefer Quartz, and the Powermatic 80 I’m sure will last many many years with little service, but I understand the complaints. This watch paired with Citizens Eco-Drive or even a basic 2115 and a tapered bracelet would make an amazing competitor to the Quartz PRX. 👌🏼

    I've maintained that it would behoove, Bulova, Citizen and Casio to get into mechanical watches, and now the first two have. They've always had good quality, reasonable pricing, and nice designs. Why not jump into the mechanical realm so those of us who have no truck with quartz have some options?

    Powermatic 80 is System 51 movement, isn't it?
    By the way, Citizen Tsuyosa is the best watch under €600/700 and the previous version is as good as the small second version. I don't like the new bracelet, they should have kept the previous one.

  • @williamthomas6106

    So now the use of plastic in the escapement takes away the "magic".
    What lengths people will go to, hate on the PRX.
    I'm sorry, but I'll take a Powermatic 80, which, even with it's plastic is based on an ETA 2824-2 over an 8xxx Miyota any day of the week.
    First of all, the 8 series has an indirect seconds hand which is why Citizen went with the small seconds hand in the first place. My Bulova Skeleton uses an 8 series Miyota and it has AWFUL stuttering.
    So Miyota hides the awful 8 series second hand stuttering by putting in a small seconds hand. Ok. And they give you hacking and an extended run time that is still about 20 hours short of the PRX.
    And I'm sorry, but the Citizen Case and bracelet don't hold a candle to that of the PRX. The PRX bracelet is sublime for it's price point.
    I'm sorry, but the Citizen, while attractive does not put PRX owners into existential despair.
    Look, I am not a Citizen basher, I own no less than 3 citizens myself, plus 2 automatics that use Miyota movements. And despite this, not one of the Citizen's or Bulova's using the Miyota 8 series is as well put together as my PRX.
