If a companion didn't have dialogue somewhere - they simply have nothing to say. If they did actually have dialogue but it didn't come up, it can't be done without using console commands and the like.
Starting with the quest Fire Support up to Call to Arms - upon which Paladin Danse asks you to join the BoS.
Since it's me and FireEmblem6 now, we were a lot more thorough and picked up the companions chat thoughts as well.

It's this type of delusion that caused me to choose the Minutemen. Brotherhood is too flawed in its ideals to really make any difference.

Kate the settler stuff is only from an unofficial mission that is completely optional to the player, which means the brotherhood would not do it, and they’re not even being forced out, only to donate a portion of their food, even bringing Danse around would bring no reaction from him, and he would do anything for the brotherhood.
Preston disliked the Brotherhood, because they're not interested in helping that nearby settlement in danger. Here, I'll mark it on your map.

Personally I think the Minutemen and the Brotherhood of Steel could benefit from joining forces. The Minutemen could do a lot of good with Brotherhood's weapons, training, and equipment. And the Brotherhood could benefit from the Minutemen's ideals, and methods.
Only problem with that is, the brotherhood doesn't benefit from a change of ideals, they full heartedly believe they should be the only ones with access to that technology(bar Elder lyons and his daughter). So in the grand scheme what you are saying is " I wish BOS would help people with their technology instead of hoarding it." Which makes sense, I do too. But their opposing ideals and core functions can't function together properly. Minutemen would not join forces with BOS, they wouldn't even spend time figuring out why they are doing what they are doing. Minutemen would say "They are a lot of people who could really use this gear/food/tech/knowledge for the betterment of the commonweatlh" and judging by elder maxson in fallout 4, BOS would have said... " But the raiders (who are GUARANTEED hostile and will attack with a spoon if need be) will use it." BOS plays a key roll in the raiders being able to raid so easily.

Except they don't just hate Institute Synths, they hate ALL synths, ALL ghouls, and ALL supermutants. To them there are no good ones, they will destroy them all given the chance and that isn't their right to do
+ TheAlphaWolf951 Except they don't hate all ghouls, and Commonwealth Super Mutants aren't like Mariposa Super Mutants - they're all violent and hostile (with only one exception, but even Strong says that one day, "Super Mutants will kill everything"). Sure, some soldiers are bigoted against ghouls, but that's true of every group - from the Railroad (per the reaction to Deacon changing his appearance to look like a ghoul) to every major settlement. Some soldiers also have relationships with ghouls, as per Cade's terminal.
The Brotherhood wants to kill all Synths and Ghouls including Nick and Hancock. They're evil.

I honestly hate some of the dialogue here...while I get that the companions-especially Preston Garvey- would be against the brotherhood’s ideals but gee, don’t ya think that an army of soldiers in power armor with some good firepower that believe that the Institute goes against everything they stand for would at LEAST be viable to be used to your advantage? And you know...the enemy of my enemy is my friend???
Some of them warm up to the brotherhood when you get a on the prydwen, like I know cait starts to like them once she meets maxon
I would have expected McCready to support the BoS more because the capital wasteland's chapter was actually very charitable and good.

I made cait a initiate but macready dosent really have the discipline for military life, caits whole quest was about rebuilding her life and a common form of that in real life is to join the military, macready is......well he left his wife and dying child cause he didn't want to deal with it? I can't really describe him in any other way

He was tired of being a mercenary, and wants to find a new meaning to his life. If you remember him in Fallout 3 - He was a leader of his community, and has been sufficiently disciplined. His behavior was entirely military. When his wife asked him what he was up to their meeting, he said that he was a soldier. Of course, he said it is because too shy to say that he was a mercenary. Nevertheless, make him a soldier in real life - Is beautiful way to give him a new sense of life and pay tribute to his late wife.

I romanced Hancock right after the quest with Danse. He was still standing there. I always thought of it as a subtle screw you to the Brotherhood lol

@@christophershell7564 Definitely X6, it's possible you could convince him that Strong was a (slightly) tame pet supermutant. But they definitely wouldn't like traveling together. I was surprised they didn't turn hostile when I showed up at the Prydwin with Strong at my side.
Danse is like the only BoS member X6 will not imediently agro to. Strong wants to fight everybody but waits for you to initiate combat. Nick and Hancock only want to fight those who deserve it.
X6 is the only one who gets he BOS to attack and only Dane tries to ignore him. He is the most evil and dangerous to them. Strong is "safe" for as long as you are with him. Definitely he is the second most dangerous and evil. Valentine only gets some grumbles from the rank and file, like Hancock, but as long as you are there, they are persuaded that he is not a threat. Bonus points for him being so un-human like, so he removes the "hiding in plain sight" threat.

Honestly some people act like purging mutants super mutants and feral ghouls is akin to the holocaust. They ARE NOT PEOPLE, they are hostile dangers to the survival of Mankind. They even clear out raider and gunner nests. If I was a Commonwealth citizen I'd be pumped they showed up.

Personally, I still think the BOS has the best chance of helping the Commonwealth. Neither the Minutemen nor the Railroad have a real plan, other than help settlements that need it and help Synths escape from the Institute.
Sure, they're a bit racist. But honestly, that racism doesn't come without reason. How many Feral Ghouls are there compared to sane ones? How many Super Mutants are anything like Fox or Strong were? The only thing I can't make a point for are Synths, who would just be regular humans should the Institute ever "go away".
The Brotherhood of Steel are better equipped and better organized. And honestly, they're a better choice than the Enclave or the Institute.

No one likes Preston Garvey haha. That's seems to be how it always goes for first companions. Even though you get Dogmeat first, Dogmeat doesn't actually count as a companion.

McCready seems hella indecisive throughout the entire video. At one point he's telling you to stay as far away as possible and the next he says their firepower would be useful. Even when you agree to join and he says something positive it says he disliked you joining.
