You got the right color... I have the same orange KTM 1390 SDR Evo. It's the best bike I've ever owned. I sold my Streetfighter V4S after riding it for 14,000 miles. The V4S was a beast but wasnt as sharp as I wanted it to be in the mountains, which is where I ride the most. I currently own/ride a 2018 KTM 1290 SDR, a 2019 Ducati Multistrada 1260s Pikes Peak, a 2017 Kawasaki ZX14R and the 2024 1390 Superduke Evo. I've owned R1's, GXSR 1000's, Hayabusa and many others. This 1390 is the best of the best... easily. This is about to get into the weeds, but the bike is so good... why not. The motor is incredible, the torque and top end or both excellent and the mapping is nice. The suspension is incredible, the ergonomics are comfortable but sporty. It feels special with top level fit and finish. The electronics are absolute next level. Take the time to set one of the suspension modes to your liking. I happened to set Pro 2 suspension mode to custom set all of the suspension settings to my liking. This Pro 2 mode is the mode I ride in all the time now, it's so good. Sublime. There are at least 6 suspension modes that let you set custom and saved fine tuned settings. I never use the factory suspension settings even when commuting on it. The two quick settings on your right thumb near the throttle are nice. I set mine to rear shock preload and the other to engine breaking. I ride rear shock preload at 40% when commuting, and adjust it to 45% or 50% when hitting the mountains for attack mode. You feel it, the rear end rises and is firmer... more aggressive/firm you want it the higher the % number. The engine braking ranges from -2 to +2 ... least to max. I go back and forth between standard and +1. All settings can be changed on the fly, just need to be able to roll off the throttle for a few seconds while the change initiates. My typical settings are : Riding Mode : I go between Performance & Track (telemetry screen in track is awesome). - there are two screens in Track mode use the up down arrow buttons to switch them... one of them is the telemetry screen ABS : road Traction Control : off (when in dry conditions) San Diego rider here so basically all the time. Throttle response : Track Wheelie Control : off Launch Control : off Suspension Mode : Pro 2 with my custom settings saved The stock Michelin tires a great, better than I expected. I changed them both at 3,450 miles. I switched to Dunlop Q5S tires, keep the same OEM rear size. Currently have 4,400 miles on the bike and absolutely love it. Enjoy yours, put the time into setting it up... it makes a HUGE difference. Hard to imagine considering how epic it is off the showroom floor. I've had one electrical issue but it went away. It was my fault. I overfilled the tank and the overflow created electrical warnings. The next time I rode it the warnings all cleared once everything evaporated and have had no issues before ir since. That was about 500 miles ago. HILL HOLD. 😂😂😂 stop it. Enjoy it. ✌🏼
What an amazing response thank you so much! I have read and re-read your comment and will definitely report back once I've played around with those settings! Brilliant stuff!
Mate just come across your videos and they are fantastic, keep up the sweet reviews. Definitely riding all the bikes I'm interested in, love the M1000r and the KTM 1390R EVO. I've got a Ducati Diavel 1260s at the moment and wanting something a little different for the twisties where I live and watching your vids helps especially because there are bugger all dealers to test ride bikes where I live.
@@xodas. For reference can I ask how tall are you and how much do you weigh? I'm 6 foot 3 inch tall and some bikes just don't fit well so good to know your dimensions for comparison
Unsure how you found the SF hard to turn in though 😂 SDR good bit heavier. I love the headlight . Real predator vibes. You’ll need get a dreadlock helmet.
Best of luck with the bike mate. Great ride. Tried both. Prefer the SFV4s grey Nero… so I ordered one 💃🏻 Had issues with KTM in the past. Said never again. Think they’re better these days to be fair. I mean before Audi (2012?) took over Ducati their reliability was shite.
@@xodas. yes, exactly. Splitting hairs! All the litre hyper nakeds these days are pumping out close to superduke levels of power. They’re all UTTERLY too much for the road. Great fun though and I’d rather have the power on hand. Looking forward to your ongoing review of this steed 👍

I test rode one recently - unbelieveable bike. Fast and handles so well. You'll love it.
Yeah I am absolutely loving it although it just had something rather unfortunate happen….stay tuned..
Great choice, 1390SDR is the bike of the year

black or orange the best color ?
Orange - black looks meh
You got the plate in orange? Give away on what bike it's going on
Haha I really like orange….
No supersport or naked can come close in accerlation. Not even v4 ducati. 145 nm in torque is brutal
Yeah it's like nothing else.
Marsupials are jealous.
The marsupials will be sharing some rather interesting developments shortly

I would love owning one, but the unreliability is holding me back
