- As much as I love Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, there are a few scenes from the book that are sorely missed. So I've decided to make my own score for those scenes, heavily inspired by (and sometimes borrowed from) the magnificent work of Howard Shore.
I am not affiliated with Howard Shore, Embracer Group, Middle-earth Enterprises, the Tolkien Estate, New Line Cinema, Warner Brothers, WingNut Films, Ted Nasmith Recorded Books or Rob Inglis.
All copyrights and trademarks for the books, films, and soundtrack music and lyrics are held by their respective owners.
Thanks for watching!
This was a crazy undertaking. This time I didn't even consider not using Shore's themes, I simply cannot imagine anything else.
I have no words to describe this. It's INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! You're so good. Keep doing these please!
Wow, just wow. What a great take on surely the mostly missed scene in the movie adaptation of LotR. Thank you for doing this
You are clearly talented, all the cues are in their right place. I would gladly listen to every missing scene composed by you, it's like finding lost music from the Complete Recordings. If someone loves the soundtrack, they couldn't find a better channel than yours.
Wow, thanks a lot man. There's definitely more coming!
Was utterly entranced by narrator, composer, and author. Stellar work.
Can only chime in with the others - great work! Would love to hear an isolated, music-only version too :D
How delighful, i would enjoy a lot an audio book of you like this.
GROND! GROND! GROND!
This is amazing! Well done Monoverantus!!!
These are actually really good man 🙌
Whats the likelihood of hearing these scores without the narrating (ie: music only)
Well, you're not the first one to ask, so it looks like it will happen ; )
@monoverantus don't get me wrong these videos are good with the audiobook narrating. But what can I say 🤷 I'm a sucker for good music ;)
This is awesome
Badass
Ever listen to the Phil Dragash audiobooks? A lot of times he perfectly reutilizes other cues and themes to sublime effect, but other times he's being way too redundant and clearly didn't have the right material.
I haven't actually, though I've heard about it. Would be fun to check out at least once, I think.
@@monoverantus Yeah they're pretty good - can you just score the whole audiobook instead though Mono? :P That really would be something.
@@timbeard4466 Hehe
How about scoring the entire audiobooks with Shore's music?
Hehe, I don't think I have nearly enough time or imagination for that XD If you want the LotR audio books with Shore's music, just listen to Phil Dragash's version.
the scene in the movies pales in comparison to this.
Agreed
