For me this is currently my favourite stand alone single melody guitar performance!!! As mentioned by 'Aocana' the risks he takes in the outro improv is astounding~!!! Andy you tasty bugger ya!!!
Yes, you are wrong. This clinic was in the 2000. Andy already had the AT300 prototype (note the jack in the guitar isn't in the place where it is in the production one). At this time, Andy wasn´t endorsed yet with Mesa. About Cry for you version.......you know that this is a matter of tastes. For me it´s an amazing version with a lot of risks in improvisations.
@aocana I just heard an interview with Andy done in November of 2011 in Italy and he said that he isn't endorsed by Mesa - he just loves the sound of their amps so that's what he plays.

I guess the comment was aimed toward the risk of making an error during playin, thus getting exposed to bad criticism from colleagues or press. Every musician fears to miss a note during a live perfomance. As a guitar player, I think that's was meant when talking bout risks.
