Just was fitted bu Ross from MIzuno UK at Gleneagles Pro Shop. Absolutely the best experience I have ever had in golf equipment. I would recommend everyone to do it as I gained distance, accuracy and feel from his knowledge of what shaft/head/grip would suit me best. Just proves that it is better to fit the club to my swing as try to change my swing to suit the club. Thanks Ian youre videos inspired me to go the distance and the results blew me away. Set of Callaway Rogue Irons and Taylormade Sim driver for sale all in vgc.

This was pretty cool to see, The one thing I think a lot of people would like to see would be a ball review and comparison. This would be really helpful to those of us who can’t get a ball fitting to give us all and idea of starting points plus I think a lot of us would like to see your guys unbiased view on them.

Gents. Love the channel and your content, always very informative and thought provoking. I have the HMB’s 3-9 with Modus Tour 120 S shafts and love them. I then go to 48, 54 and 60 degree wedges in Jaws MD5 (loved your wedge fitting where it came down to them or the T20’s with Matty) with the s200 Tour 115gr. For my hybrid and fairway woods I have the Thump FW and Hybrid shafts - love them. Where I struggle is driver. I have an ST200 9.5 coming with a Atmos Blue 6S but am not tied to that shaft. Any thoughts? Thanks

Ian, I was fitted a year ago for Titleist T300s irons with AMT Black R300 (P-6), Calloway Epic Flash Driver with Tensei AV Series 65 Flex-R, Calloway Epic Flash 3 and 5 woods Tensei AV Series 75 Flex-R, and Callaway EpicFlash 4 and 5 Hybrids with Kuro Kage 80HY Flex-R. At the time of my fitting I was pretty new at golf and had a Driver swing speed of 90 mph and a handicap of 19. Fast forward a year and my Driver swing speed is now 111 and my handicap is now a 8.4. Should I be looking at new clubs or different shafts? Thanks.

Been playing MP59s 4-PW with a MPH4 3 iron for the last 4 years. Index reached a 9.0 at one point, right now is a 12.1. Iron striking is usually a strength with most of my problems coming off the tee.
Thinking about having a right hand set built to the SEL specs. Thoughts? Forged in the 4 iron, 5 iron, MAYBE the 6 iron and then the tours in 7, 8, 9, PW. Might even ditch the PW and get a specialty wedge rather than set wedge.

Lives are great and all. I definitely enjoyed it. But it’s hard to get much detail. Especially with all the super chats asking about driver shafts. No fault of you guys. Definitely hope you guys do your normal videos on these irons specifically on the Tour’s and then Forged and how the gapping on those will work. Hoping to hear Ian address the increased MOI on the Tour’s. Read that Mizuno increased MOI on the Tour to match the MP20 MMC. Really hoping to hear more about that.

It appears that the SHAFT installed into a head that requires an ADAPTER does not go into the head as far as a head without an adaptor. Therefore would a S flex play more similar to a R flex unless it was tipped prior to assembly. I did that to my Mizuno st200 and everything changed for the better; feel, strike location, launch angle and roll out. Thank you.

Got fitted at club champion and got fitted in the 110 steel fiber shafts but felt a bum rush to buy them so I stalled and waited to get refitted somewhere else and the 110 steel fiber was the eleventh best for me. I ordered the forged with KBS tour shafts. My advise would be to get fitted at two different fitters to make sure you are getting what you need and not being upsized for more money!!

I know some people aren't thinking they are a 120 round kind of guy but you have to think how often you hit balls at the range too. Even if you're a 20hcp, if you go to the range and hit a medium bucket of around 80-100 balls, there's a round. Do that 2 or 3 times a week, plus a round of golf every other week and that's 10 "rounds" of golf a month at 2 buckets a week and 14 "rounds" at 3 buckets. So do that for 6 months, if you're only hitting out doors and don't do anything the other 6 months of the year, and you're already at 72-84 "rounds". They add up quick guys, get those clubs regripped!

Hi gents, I have a full bag fitting booked for early February with Alex and the 921 SEL are on my irons shortlist. As you only fit irons with 6 irons, and the SEL are a combo set, do you have a 4 or 5 iron lefty forged for people to test (as forged isn't even available in lefty otherwise)? Similar question to how one might be fitted for aftermarket wedge vs the set GW. Much appreciated!

Do you know an adjustment for a mavrik standard to help with a right shot as a righty. Not a slice more of a push

    • @toads807
      @toads807 3 ปีที่แล้ว

I’m a lefty and have an XR, but I struggled with a straight push, as well with the face in the neutral setting. I would probably hit the ball 35 yards or so offline from time-to-time. I simply moved the face to the draw setting and the big left miss is gone. You probably have some weights to play with, too. Don’t know if the Mavrik has moveable weights, but maybe try moving the heavy weight to the heel and the lighter one to the toe.
Also, with shaft sleeve, I think changing the loft also slightly changes the face angle relative to your target. So it may be a combination of playing with the loft and face angle. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think delofting tends to open the face and adding loft tends to close the face.

Wow, what a marathon. I feel like I've just been thorough a full iron fitting. Even without a personal, final recommendation, I feel I know which head model would work best for me if I were in the market for a set of new Mizunos 👍

Currently using mp5’s 3-pw but considering 921 forged 4-pw and a hot metal pro 4 iron bent to 3 iron! Can they grind the number 4 to avoid confusion

Use a different color paint fill in the one that you bend to a 3 iron loft.

I recently got fitted for Mavrik Pro irons. I've loved in extra 15 yards of carry compared to my old irons, but I'm not a fan of my much lower ball flight. It has become very hard to get any kind of distance gap in my 4-5 irons. My thought is with a bit higher ball flight they will carry out to the proper distance. If I went and got my long irons bent 2 degrees weaker is there a material difference in the bounce it creates? Will it be harder for me to get the leading edge under the ball if I already struggle with thin shots?

Beware. The 8-Gap are not chromoly in the jpx 921 forged. They’re 1025E. I just received my set. I feel pretty misled by this. Contacted mizuno and they said that’s the way they were designed.

I notice that at 1:56:04 you have put the middle dots between 4-5 grove. Accordin to the Foresight manual I should put them between 6-7 grove. I have a set of 919 Tours and put the dot between 6-7 grove. Is that to high up in the face? According to Foresight manual they should be between 6-7 grove. But I guess that changes between club models? I always get s 4-6 toe down and low in the face hits. Even that they are horizontal good the vertical often 6-9 mm low in the face.
Have I put the middle dots in the wrong place all the time?

I stopped buying Mizuno irons after they started adding boron to the metal. I love Cobra and have the F9 driver and fairways. Recommend watching James Robinson's "I was wrong" or similarly named vlog with him and a friend playing a few holes. The friends 770s sounded so nice while James struggled with the 7MC irons. I used to have Cobra Amp irons that had that OMG perfect sound. If I was trying Callaways, I would see if the sweet spot was bigger than the X forged irons were. For irons I am a New Level Golf guy for life it looks like, btw.

When I caddied for a pro I tried to hit his Titleist blades with stiff shaft. felt like I was swinging a telephone pole. If you don't hit the sweet spot it's a disaster. the average golfer wouldn't benefit from hitting blades.

  • @isleofdeath

Why do shaft options in Europe su** sooo much? Honestly, while in the USA I can get basically any shaft/head combo, there is no chance in Europe. We need golf to be a little more mass sports like in the states...
