Woodturning - Trash to Treasure

Woodturning an incredible hybrid vase with red deep pour epoxy resin and firewood distanced black locust burly wood. Once the wood was cleaned it was time to build the mould and mix some resin. After few days of curing in the pressure pot it went on my woodturning lathe to start shaping. Eventually it was sanded to high grit and applied several layers of clear gloss lacquer.

I have witnessed world-class turning jobs and what they have in common is (1 wonderfully unique starting piece of wood (2 wonderful artistic vision of the carpenter (3 wonderfully skilled turners) great.
