Here's a hack for tracing! I usually do this at home. So, if you have a glass table at your home, flashlight and printer. Your good to go! First, print your design and grab a blank piece of paper. Next, go to your glass table place the printed design on the table. And the white piece of paper on top of it. (Make sure they are aligned correctly!) Then, grab a pencil whatever you use to trace. Grab your flashlight and flash it under the glass table under the design. Then trace! And you will have a better result. ^^

For black fabric I have used a thin cotton blend so it's still relatively see-through with the window technique. You could also use a make shift glass table technique where you shine a light underneath a glass table to see your design. I also always trace with a white led pencil on black fabrics.

Yes, I do use transfer paper. Just note that they can sometimes require a bit of scrubbing to get off!
