It is about time someone demoed a log splitter using real world rounds. Most videos show prefect rounds with no knots, cutoff limes and strate as an arrow. Real world is not like that at all.
I don't split wood to sell it, I just like doing it and having fires in my backyard, most of the free wood I get is what other people didn't want, knotty, crooked, rotten, etc. So it can be a struggle.
I just bought this one today. It split everything I put in it even twisted up knots. I barrowed a friends 40 ton before but its cleary not needed since this one took care of all the logs I had from a 50 ft tree I cut down. Even when it started to struggle it still pushed threw after it built up presure. Pretty happy with the putchase so far and glad I didn't waste money on a more expensive unit. I also noticed the sysle time is faster than the 40 ton I barrowed. I can see yours is doing just as well.
@About2Rain I added AW32 but probably should have added ATF for the cold temps but so far winter in the Midwest hasn't been too cold so it's been working fine. Just have to let it warm up a bit
I just got one. I'm having trouble getting it to stay running. Oil is good, gas is good but it won't stay running. It cuts off like it isn't getting fuel. The book is no help. Anyone have any advice
If it was already assembled at tractir supply they usually leave them out in the weather. Often times they end up with water in the carb, fuel tank, and even the cylinder. They're designed to be kept under roof when in storage

looks like it can be tilted verticaly. might be more comfortable
I bought the exact same splitter and mine was also not filled with Hydraulic fluid...
At least they were nice enough to put some engine oil in lol
What kind of hydraulic fluid did you add to it? I’m getting one of these and I don’t know much about it. Thank you
