i bought the huskee a couple weeks ago, it has split over a cord of wood the first weekend in a couple of hours, it split 22" hickory 18-20" long with no problems.
It looks to me the Huskee can be turned to vertical, too. I had a concrete pad, logs by my left, container on the right to stack, used a wheeled mechanics seat with a splitter set to vertical. All the splits were right there, didn’t have to keep bending over to pick them up. And you don’t have to lift the big logs, just tilt and edge roll to the splitter.
I got one of these from tsc the other day do not attempt to tow one of these home until you have verified that it has been properly assembled literally every nut and bolt on it was finger tight i had to get my tools out in the parking lot and tighten everything
I plan to purchase the Huskee from TSC located about 40 miles from me. How well did it tow behind your truck, or did you pull it on a trailer? Thanks!!
I pulled it home behind my truck but I only live a few miles away from tsc. It says not to exceed 45mph but I barely went over 25mph as it was bouncing all over. If you have a trailer, the employees at tsc should be able to help you load it. Better safe than sorry. Hope it helps!
that is half the beam on the huskee one so they could save costs. I ask what is going to happen to the hydraulic cylinder when it meets real tough wood over time. no bolts anchoring down the back of that ram'...
The only real negative with the Huskee is - No Support to the Ground on the end if the Beam. *I understand it is capable of Vertical Splitting. However, it is also capable of tipping if one places to heavy a Round on it in the Horizontal Position. Keep a Farm Jack around just in case its needed.
Look at the Eastonmade Ultra, it has the cylinder half supported and only 14 tons. The ultra will spit three times the wood. The huskee probably not a true 20 tons either.
Don't forget, that superhandy is about $600 on sale. It's ultra compact too!
I agree, the superhandy is NOT heavy duty, but it works awesome!
Agree, I love my SuperHandy Log splitter. I think very worth it
@@chenjeff8118 agreed. For the price you can’t beat it. I’ve split over 5 cords with mine oak and maple and no issues.

did spee co make the tsc brand
Make sure that blade on the super handy is razor sharp. It will make splitting easier for the machine.

Yes it will it's happened to me
why didn't they use grade 8 bolts on the whole thing. looks like either 2 or hopefully grade 6...
You paid 565.00 and in British Columbia it's 1875.00 in Amazon
both of those hanging cylinders look scary.
For sure! Especially the superhandy. I'm not worried about the huskee, we'll see what happens 👍
