In this video I explain how uncoupling tracks work and what you can do with them. I got this with my Lionel New York Central frieght set quite a while ago, so here's the review of the set!

The more track you set up the better you understand the electricity you're working with. There's a lot to be gained from tinkering!

Thanks for making the video about uncouplers for 3-rail O gauge. I was already acquainted with uncoupling systems used by Lionel in the 1950s and about 1990 and a completely different uncoupling system used by Marx 3-rail O gauge trains. Do you know of anyone who offers a video explanation of whether and how Kadee uncouplers work by remote control on HO or/and other gauges of trains?

If you are referring to non-operating couplers, you just have to do it by hand. If you want to open operating couplers remotely without spending so much, you can buy an old mechanical remote uncoupler which can be operated by pulling a string.
