Flame Spitting Turbo RSX tears through TX STREETS w/ a STOCK K20!

I bought this badass Turbo RSX from Megaspool several months back, and it wasn't running 100% optimal due to some small bugs, but I also noticed a small grind on the GearX trans. I took it over to Redline Performance and they told me the synchros and teeth on some of the gears were worn beyond repair, so.. I decided to sell off the good components and have them build me a PPG DOGBOX. Putting transmission issues aside, I thought, why not build the motor too, and push things to a maniac level of power. So, the car is torn apart, I'm waiting on JBR Engines to finish sleeving, doing a bore, hone, deck, and O-Ring job on the block, along with a crank micropolish. I sold the K20 and will be using a built K24 block and K20 head along w/cams. The car had good parts on it and I will be upgrading some components while retaining others.

Hell yeah, I might sell off the 6765 and go with a 6466 but we'll see what the budget allows for, goal is to built a bulletproof motor and trans first.

This was a K20 setup, it made 530whp on 21lb but it had to be de-tuned to 14lb because it had a few issues during this video. Gear X is great for the money, I was running Mfactory LSD

Around how much hp were you running that night on 14psi? It was moving
I’m gonna guess 400hp but it’s hard to know for sure 😅
Sounds like around 260 to 300+hp. Car sounds like it's on a base map that's how mines was moving. He basically on wastegate if you haven't dynoed yet.
@@workhardidleafter9088 Definitely not those numbers, did you see the Dyno video? The car was having issues due to wastegate vaccum line giving incorrect reading, still pulled through the gears decent for having corvette ratio gearing, 1st gear goes to 60 and 2nd gear goes to 90, that why it doesn’t spin that bad, it also kept up with another RSX that’s been beating supercharged V8s and vettes lol

Yeah but sadly it wasn't running great when I went out that night. Believe it or not, we went out to the backroads and I was pulling on him through the corners with ease. Though I did have an advantage w/ tires (R888Rs) I was impressed with how I could hang with a track purpose built car. These Fortune Auto 510s w/ swift springs handle great on the streets and the car doesn't bounce around at all. I would've posted that portion but the cameras had ran out of battery by then! Can't wait to get the car back though, I'll be posting a lot more as long as it stays running haha.
