I can relate Lamont. When I stayed home from school back then it was I love Lucy, The Andy Griffith show, Gilligan's island, and Bewitched. Fond memories.
I enjoyed this show as a little girl with my mom & grandma , such fond memories back when 3 generations of a family could enjoy the same tv program together.
My favorite was Desi Arnez especially when he was yelling at Lucy in Spanish. And Vivian Vance was also my favorite she was underrated. REST in peace to the foursome. 💙💙💙💗💗💗💜💜💜💯💯💯
My aunt Francis and uncle Albert got married in the 40s or 50s (not sure the exact year) but his primary language was Spanish and hers was English and they were the same way. 😂
RIP WILLIAM FRAWLEY. Great talk of his history. Seeing where they filmed I Love Lucy gave me goosebumps. LOVE that show today and Heres Lucy too. Thanks alot.
Thanks for the nice presentation,Lamont.Growing up I enjoyed watching WF's characters on I Love Lucy and My Three Sons.I remember his passing well because my Grandfather died the following day on March 4,1966.
Lamont.. You must see some beautiful places traveling alot.. Thanks for bringing us these really interesting stories.. I enjoy hearing you tell these stories. William came off really crabby on I Love Lucy show. Had no idea he was really was.
I love that show. Never gave a thought about what happened to Frawley so wow!! Oh and I LOVE Chuck Connor! What a handsome man! Rifle Man! Can’t wait for that video!
I've been to William Frawley's grave. He's buried at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills, California. He's near where Ritchie Valens is buried near the main entrance. Such a great show even if it was well before my time. Great job Lamont. RIP William Frawley as well as the rest of the I Love Lucy cast.
I love your videos of famous celebrities graves keep up all your great work thank you for tacking your time so we can see graves we wouldn't have a chance to see oure self's
Vivian Vance was childhood friends with Louise Brooks growing up around the block from each other. I would love to see you do a video on Louise Brooks.
Fun fact: Gale Gordon, Mr. Mooney from The Lucy Show, was the first choice to play Fred Mertz, but was unavailable due to previous commitments. He did guest star in a couple of I Love Lucy episodes as Ricky’s boss. However he would go on to play Lucy’s sidekick in The Lucy Show, Here’s Lucy, and the short lived Life With Lucy. I think he would have been awesome as Fred Mertz, but William Frawley nailed the role.
@@valentinius62 another fun fact is that despite his age, Gale Gordon could do a near perfect cartwheel, which he did on the Lucy show and Here’s Lucy.
I love your variety of subjects that you bring to your channel. I love Lucy is on every day where I live. And though I've seen every one a thousand times. I still watch.
Rest In Peace William Frawley 🎉Wow these video's bring back a lot of memories for me Lamont all these miles away in Scotland. I use too watch I love Lucy when I was young many many years ago that's ok I'm still young at heart .Peace out Lamont ❤❤
Thanks again for another great video. When I was a young boy my twin brother and I would watch Lucy, Gilligan's Island and Speed Racer after school! It's crazy how they wore their pants up to the belly buttons👀 high water pants! 😂
So true. My grandfather was the sound man for that show in it's duration. Stated filming often had to stop as he and Vance fought, as he stated, "terribly."
I lived a block from the El Royale and often saw the celebs who lived there. Cameron Diaz is super sweet and chatty. Beautiful but expensive street as you said!
I think what I love best about your channel is I learn more about people I wouldn't have even THOUGHT to do research about. Thank you sir! You should visit some sites regarding the serial killer Edmund Kemper, I'd be interested in seeing the apartment where he used to live with his mother.
I have always loved Lucille Ball, even as a child. I am 59 years old now. I also used to stay to watch the Lucy show Monday nights on CBS at 9:30 in New York. They just don't make wholesome tv ahows like this anymore. I read somewhere that William Frawley hated Vivian Vance because of a comment he overheard her make about him being too old to play her husband. I never knew he was born in the 1880's.
my favorite is Ethel Mertz (Vivian Vince).......she was a wisecracker and too cute for the 50s TV show, to die so young,......yeah they didn't get along in real life, but at Fred's funeral, she sure showed up, tears in her eyes, regretting not being able to make up with him,.....to tell ya the truth, i was also in love with Vivian,........marius(punk rules).
Thanks again, Lamont I remember laying out of school watching all of Lucy myself ! If anyone wants to know what keeping your head on a swivel means just watch Lamont lol
I love “I Love Lucy”! The show was filmed a generation before me, but I grew up on it and today my kids and grandkids still love it, as do I. It was magical and just takes you back to much simpler times. I watched the “Lucy” spinoffs and although they’re still good, they simply don’t capture the same magic as the original, in my personal opinion.
I read somewhere that Vivian Vance (Ethel Mertz) hated working with William Frawley, and that they didn’t get along at all behind the scenes…in fact, they didn’t even speak to each other apart from their scripts….and I’ve read where other actors who had worked with him say he wasn’t a very nice person, and that he was hard to work with.
He wasn't originally supposed to play Fred but he begged Desi for a job because his drinking made him unemployable. He agreed and Viv resented being "aged" to make her look older. He didn't like her either.
Thank you so much for sharing the story of Farley wow I miss that show The Lucy Show my mom was a big fan of The Lucy Show but it's so crazy how the stories always have a background you know things hidden behind the scenes you know. Oh yeah that tree behind you that you finally recorded it looks like it has a face if you really look at it.❤

Lamont I love this video just the other day I was talking to my friend about him and we were wondering how he died because some people that where with us, told us he died in front of the Chinese theatre after he went to see a movie I’m glad you made this video thank you for sharing!
My 24 year old daughter was obsessed with I Love Lucy when she was little. She watched it with my mom all the time. Very sad to know how William passed away 💔🙏🏻
Apparently, Dezi was lenient with Farley due to their friendship. The effects of Farley's drinking problem can be seen in episodes of 'I Love Lucy.' He usually kept his hands in his pockets to conceal the alcohol tremors. There are some scenes in episodes of the show when his hands are visible and shaking uncontrollably.
I don't know how old you are Lamont but I was born in 1966 and I remember watching the same shows that you're talking about and when I was home from school sick and I love them they were great I look forward to it every morning when I was home from school me and my little sister both watch the show great memories I have 😊
My absolute favorite show to this day. I watch it on Pluto everyday. Brings back sweet memories of spending time with my grandma.
My favorite show too. I also watch it on Pluto practically daily.

OMG! I Love Lucy is a classic❤ one of the best! Rest in peace to the whole cast.

Vivian Vance hated dude so much that when she got word he passed she asked where was the champaign. Now that's savage.
Great show 😊
