Nick Rhodes created the most luscious, hypnotic, outstanding sequencer loop in the history of pop. You may not know what Duran Duran means for the 80's culture but surely you know Save a Prayer's loop. It's a milestone for an unique age of music.

If you were in England in 1982 when this was in the charts it was a great time the whole scene was fantastic, it was like the 60s' but for my generation, being 16 at the time.

It took me 38 long years to finally see this amazing band in concert at the Kennedy Space Center. It was a dream come true. I cried during this song. I could picture this video when they were singing Save A Prayer. Thank you Duran Duran from the bottom of my 💜
I saw them in Tempe Arizona in my middle 20s in the 80s. They sounded exactly like their record's. It was amazing!!!!

Iv been afan from i seen them in the very very early eighties thought Simon was the most gorgeous man on earth and still is very handsome 40+ years in the businesses wow, Simon's a very talened song writer and artist why aren't they in the music hall of fame?
Simon was my ex-sister in laws' chilhood friend. I actually NEVER have met them. But how strange is that as a teenager girl I was crazy for Simon Le Bon and it might sound strange I really like his wife. They are a great couple ❤️

This is one of the best songs ever written, it sounds great 40 years on and was the band at the top their game when it was recorded. Being around 16 in London when this music came out was just such a great time musically.

I wanted to see them so badly on this tour! They came to my city back in 1984, and I was only in the 4th grade, and my parents wouldn't take me. A boy in my class got to go with his older brother, and I was so jealous when he came back to school with his Duran Duran t-shirt on!

I can never usually make mind up as to who made the most distinctive contribution to Durans' sound. After this, I'm almost convinced it's Simons' voice. The breadth of vocal resonance he achieves is superb. Quietly unique.

I was 13 then, and I would have given a bucket of diamonds to float my arms in the blue lights like those girls in the audience…I was longing to go to any of their gigs but they never hit the road in my country before June 1987 …and when I could finally attend their show, I washed away all my youth in teenager tears as this song went by under the Mediterranean shiny summer night..

I’d give anything to go back to this concert 1984, Oakland arena. Skipped school, tried to go for the front, got smashed, didn’t care, went to my seat with my friends and saw magic for 2+ hours. The Fab Five.. my first concert at 16. I’ve been to many after theirs but theirs was the best.
