I never heard of Ninjor in Masters of the Universe and I was an 80s kid (tomboy of a lil girl that loved MOTU & GI Joe) but he might have came along after I'd moved on to Joe's. I'm just glad to see old toys given new life, a home and loved again.
I have to admit, one thing I enjoy about Toy Polloi-- besides the nostalgia-- is the calm, straightforward way things are explained. And some of the music's not bad, either. 🙂
This has been an astoundingly good restoration. Lots of different issues to be fixed, and great ingenuity on all of them. I wish I could give you 20 likes instead of just one because they would be more than deserved!
As many other people have noted on this feed, I never came across this figure as a kid, but looks really cool now he’s had his makeover. Once again I’m blown away with your ingenuity Dave. Really enjoyable video
Always love a cloak/ cape/ robe episode, and those nun chucks are brilliant , I need to come up with an idea for making a Blake’s 7 weapon for my Avon custom and things like this help me to keep brainstorming 👍
Oh cool. An Avon custom sounds great! The Blake's 7 weapons were pretty unique looking from what I remember. Like a wand. Maybe Lego is a good starting point. Some of the early Lego space weapons looked quite similar.
Like always amazing video! Thanks for sharing All this with us. Special mentíon for the computer work fixing the measures of the pictures. Awesome!! Greetings from southern Spain.
If you ever get broken t m n t Michangelo nunchucks you can use very small eyehooks and a small chain necklace to make nunchucks as well cool video as always Dave
Another knockout dave, definitely gonna revisit this one when i find a junk ninjor in need of a robe and possibly weapons or end up making a slamurai custom!
AMAZING restoration! The robe looks great, but the the emblem recreation process was just fantastic and the end result looks terrific! I pulled up an image of the vintage nunchucks and, except for the chain, it's a dead ringer. AWESOME job! My friend's 10 y-o is starting to 3d print replacement missiles and such for vintage action figures. I shared this vid so she can try her hand at making these chucks too! Thanks!!
I would have thought the nunchucks would have been very difficult to fabricate, but you made short work of it. I need to channel you when I run into road blocks restoring my G1 Jetfires and other Robotech toys.
I was literally going to ask you about restoring the robe for Ninjor, I have mine mostly untouched except for the robe and nun-chucks which are missing. Thank you!, and good timing :P
I had a friend from years ago who felt that having both Ninjor and Jitsu as villains but had no heroic counterpart was unfair. So he took a head from Fisto and put it on the body of Prince Adam then had his grandmother make him a white with blue version of Ninjor's outfit. Basically creating a uber muscular version of a white ninja Chuck Norris. 😁
So rather than double sided tape, have you considered "Hem Adhesive"? I'm actually surprised you don't use it for a lot of things. It's a thin hot melt fabric sizing, real cheap, I'd recommend it.
If I am not misstaken, there actuall is a strip, almost like that double sided tape you used, that response to heat (a iron), and sorts of became a "glue stripe". Nice video as always.
@@toypolloi I totally agree with you. It's better to use the stuff you have around you than invent the wheel again. Esp if the results will came out the same. 🙂
Great video! Thank you! A few years back, I asked about the possibility of a how-to for reproducing Scare Glow's cape, but you said you needed a sample to work from to make a pattern. Unfortunately, I don't have a Vintage Scare Glow any more, but some patterns have shown up online, and I've sussed out through trial-and-error that the main portion of his cape is made from a fabric that can be found online as "chiffon fabric stretch material," in purple, while his collar appears to be made from the same pseudo-velvety fabric (in purple) as Prince Adam's vest. Is that any help?
Great job. What do you typically do with the finished figure that was sent in? Also, what type of paper do you use for the stickers? I have some vintage vehicles that could use some new ones
I know you've done hundreds of leg changes, but I still can't help (after watching you do it several times) but think that using a metal screw driver is a good way to tear the rubber. I feel like you should be using like a wood chopstick, or a plastic device.
I post at least one new restoration video every week on Friday. If you want more Toy Polloi check out my second channel @toypolloitwo for even more content!

Hey Dave
Once again a figure i had no idea existed, he looks great in the end.
As always thank you and take care.
Nice to see a restoration on a more unusual MotU figure. Those robes are quite something. Great job recreating them!
Thank you very much!
The robe and nun chucks look great.
Brilliant ninjor restoration dave especially the dragon logo and weapons. awesome stuff.
Always love the little tunes you play throughout your videos. I could tell there’s a Toy Polloi video on with my eyes closed!
You're amazing 👏 Bravo Dave !!
Really cool, love it.
Another well finished piece there.
You definitely had your work cut out for you on this one, but you exceeded any expectations with how fantastic this turned out. Cheers!🍻
Thank you so much 😀
Awesome fix up, master of your work.

Awesome work Dave! That robe came together fantastically! Excellent video mate!
Thanks! It's a very interesting design on the robes, but it works.

I really love your work ❤

What a fantastic restoration of this stealthy boy! 🥷 The robe really does make him, beautiful work Dave 🤩
Very nice channel! Cheers! 😀

He looks awesome! I actually wasn't sure you were going to be able to get the mask to look just like the original, but you nailed it.
I’ve been waiting a long time for this video. So glad you’ve made it. Great video thank you Dave. He looks great!
nice job! a ninja bo staff might be a cool custom upgrade

Can Toi Polloi make a totally successful job of restoring this complex ninja figure? Shuriken!!
🤣
ever notice a lot of the figures used the same bodies just painted different
Mattel got a lot of use (i.e., low expense) out of three basic bucks: human, reptile and beast
I would have thought the nunchucks would have been very difficult to fabricate, but you made short work of it. I need to channel you when I run into road blocks restoring my G1 Jetfires and other Robotech toys.
The marvel of editing makes me have super powers 😂

There is fabric tape you can iron on.
So rather than double sided tape, have you considered "Hem Adhesive"? I'm actually surprised you don't use it for a lot of things. It's a thin hot melt fabric sizing, real cheap, I'd recommend it.
I use what I have to had. If it works it works for me.
@@toypolloi Oh absolutely, and that's how I roll too. :) Just thought I'd mention a great product to check out.
It’s called wonder web. My mother used it mine and my brothers’ school trousers when were kids.
@@paulsenior33 It's got a number of names. I know it under the "Stitch Witchery" brand. Great stuff.
I ordered some of that lego chain to fix the nunchucks on my panthro figure, but it was too chunky 😢

Nice video as always.
There are certainly other options. I just like to use what I have already if I can. And the tape worked great. Cheers

I have every vintage heman figure loose complete, if you ever need measurements I'd be happy to help
Thanks!
Hi, do you have any videos on repairing the waist springs? I want to see it done before I attempt it.
It's not easy at all and causes more damage than you fix so I haven't showed the process. Cheers
Nice job. Where can I find the robe fabric, the tape used on the robe and also the paper to print the sticker?
Thanks. The looped fleece comes from Aliexpress, the tape is just normal double sided tape. The fabric printer paper came from ebay. Cheers
Great job. What do you typically do with the finished figure that was sent in? Also, what type of paper do you use for the stickers? I have some vintage vehicles that could use some new ones
Thanks. I try to keep as much as I can. Some I give away to friends or people I know will appreciate it if I don't have space for it myself. Cheers
I keep playing the music when I repair stuff, but my hands never move as fast as yours.
There is fabric glue. As Mrs Toy Polloi about it.
I bought an original Ninjor robe for my figure yearss ago and ended up cutting it in half when I cut the envelope open that it was mailed in
Ouch. Bet you haven't opened a letter the same since.
I know you've done hundreds of leg changes, but I still can't help (after watching you do it several times) but think that using a metal screw driver is a good way to tear the rubber. I feel like you should be using like a wood chopstick, or a plastic device.
This is the Weirdest Power Ranger Restoration
Another great video. Keep em coming. However, do you really have to use that annoying music with the high pitched voice😂
I'm not a fan of the rubber replacement bands, I find they stretch out too much. I'd rather use a 3D printed one
I've used both and find they work pretty much the same. Just use which you prefer.
Please make more videos I like your videos
