Honestly watching you tow these massive vehicles through such narrow spaces is some sight to behold. There really is no room for error, the head cam gives a great perspective as to what you can actually see, which is not a lot! Lookin' forward to more content next year!
Steve you are a credit to your company, i like the way you do things properly, ie ,like wiping the oil from the shafts wheels etc, keep up the good work.

I'm not from London, and the thought of driving just my everyday car through Central London terrifies me, the way you do this with such calm is awesome to watch.
You kinda get used to the tight roads and idiots about, I hadn’t driven much in London but went to work for a new firm in a bigger lorry than what I was used to, now drive every day in central London and it does get abit easier, you just have to have your wits about you and be in the ball
Amazing job! I live in Canada and I've been to UK many times, the only car I dared to rent was a Ford Fiesta since it's small, and I've never felt that amount of stress in a car before, I spent almost 6 hours going through the Highway Code and watching TH-cam tutorial on the roundabout the night before, and still almost fucked up next day. The roads were narrow, the roundabout was confusing and I had to ask my girlfriend constantly to check if the left tires were touching the curb lane. Watching you move 2 giant monsters in London that smooth is just amazing.
I dont usually comment on videos but i have to say .. absolute professional on the job and as a driver ! Its good to see someone taking pride in their job and doing the job right! Nice one.
Impressive that you tow that bus through that traffic and still be able to give us a little sightseeing tour! The dashcam does a nice addition, it puts out really good quality video. Thanks for taking us with you and Happy Christmas to you and your family! 👍👍👍
Excellent video as always Steve. Really enjoyed the driving segment, especially the way you negotiated those tight corners at 1:00:46 onwards. Two things stood out that impressed me. One is the way you constantly check the mirrors to check your load is safe and that it has cleared the corners and two is the way you gave a lot of room between you and the bus you were following at 54:16. Keeping out of his blind spot (which a lot of car drivers could learn from), going slow enough to stop in case the lights changed and giving yourself a good stopping distance further along the road. Masterful driving as always. Have a great Christmas, I am looking forward to more posts in the new year ;)
Great video as always Steve. The fixed dashcam angle helps significantly to reduce the motion sickness caused from watching the headcam angle for extended periods of time.
Well done for keeping your cool there, never easy in London. It doesn't matter how defensively you drive, some bugger still takes it as a personal invitation to try and squeeze past 😂
Hi Steve, good to have you back again with your usual professionalism and calm manner. Much needed for driving through London with a double decker on the back! Nice editing too with the two cam thing going on. Thanks for sharing and have a nice Christmas and New Year.
Thanks Steve a good video its great to see you explaining why you do what you do it shows others just what "the big boys" have to do to keep others safe Nice clear dasshcam Best regards Ken
The "knowing your route around low bridges" knowledge can save you from a ton of problems.. My brother and I were at a family party and arrived by train but in the evening there was rail replacement busses on two stretches of our route.. One of the drivers didn't know the roads in the town from where he started and as a result he made a u-turn over 4 lanes mainly caused and missed turn and low bridges that prevented him from getting his direction correct...
I really love seeing you drive that monster of a contraption through the streets. And hearing the (your) engine roar through your open window is very enjoyable. Thumbs up and see you in the new year mate.
First time viewer here, I enjoy this type of content with recovering videos. As an American its cool to see how things are done differently in the UK. And seeing you drive through the tights spaces and traffic fighting to get around you is a bit scary and fom what I see our trucks can't fit there at all, it will get stuck lol. Nice video mate, looking forward to see more from you and check out your other videos.
There's a reason (next to lawful required maximums for truck + trailer combinations in length) why we have cab-over trucks. It decreases the turn radius which makes it a lot easier to make the turns in the older city centers. It's also the reason why on trailers, counter-steering axles are very common, even some buses have them, and we used to have Volvo B10m buses which in the articulated versions had a countersteering trailer.
Really enjoy these longer videos. You always seem so calm when driving... I guess that's experience. Do you ever get to a junction and think "bugger, I don't know what I'm gonna do here!?"
Loving the video shows the pure skill you have driving through some incredibly tight roads and making tight turns whilst towing a massive vehicle, stay safe out there

Nice video, Steve! Quiet, safe road for hooking up this one. Very handy air connections right at the front. Such a challenge for a very low, tall vehicle. Kind people (mostly) making way when they see you approaching - one less issue to deal with. Good view with the new dashcam. Does the bus company have their own recovery vehicles, or do they just call a local company when needed? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Great video again Steve. You did a great job of navigating those narrow London streets. Even on regular double decker routes, still watch out for low branches. Route near me ( Grays, Essex) cought out regular driver, no parked cars, branch was about 6 inches thick over the road. No injuries, but windows smashed in. (15-20 years ago)
Brought back some great memories, there, particularly when you were checking the bus's brakes. I remember when Bournemouth (Yellow) Buses got their first Volvo buses. A double-decker driver tried to do a 3 point turn in Valette Road, Moordown but got stuck while at a right angle to the footpath. He was revving the engine all he could to build up the air tanks, but the bus wouldn't move. I guessed his problem and walked out to speak to him through the front, passenger door. Can you see that black button facing upwards next to the side window? I you hit it; which he did . . . too late (you will be able to drive again). The bus shot forward, while I got my head out of the way just in time before he managed to miss a parked car and speed away. He never did thank me for telling him about the BROMS (Swedish for brake). Neither did BCT. PS the new dash cam is not as clear as your head cam, plus, while you were negotiating some close encounters, and on head cam, I was focussing on your offside mirror. I never had that luxury when I used to drive. Without warning, you would switch to dash cam. Where's the mirror gone? It was just like being clipped by the rear of a tipper on the old A30. Great video. I hope you manage to enjoy your Christmastime, wherever you want to be!
I like to turn the ignition on and shut all the doors once it is all hooked up, it resets all the suspension but only works on the enviro’s. Battersea is fun to get into especially when that beer garden is full!

I used to have to park my coach at that depot during some breaks. interesting to see the differences in the considerations due to the length, height and articulation. Fantastic video!
Fair play getting in the end of the road there at Battersea,we ve a yard at the end of that road under the low bridge just past the bus depot and with bulker artics you have to be so careful with the front of the trailer and the cat walk and back of the cab! Great vid as always, happy new year to you, here's to many more interesting recoveries. Stay safe.

Stay safe.

Thanks for watching , your welcome.
Great vid as always Steve, and E400 deckers are common for breaking down or catching fire, as engineers don’t have the time they want to do a proper inspection or service, aswell driver tagging them to bits, as they are on a tight timings,
Hope you have a fabulous christmas time, and don’t drink to much eggnog or turkey and really enjoyed watching your vids through 2023 after stumbling across the channel, and will look forward to more vids in 2024, as it’s also taught me a trick or to watching your channel as what to do prior to engineers turning up with the wrecker
