Hard to believe that Semi driver wasn't a fatal, sure hope she wasn't badly hurt and gets a full recovery. Really looked like a mess but you sure figured it out quick and you boys got 'er done!! Great work to the Pep's crew and another great video. Thanks!!😊
Thank you! And right? I knew it wasn't a fatal because it didn't go to evidence and the coroner was not there but man, I would have bet all my money it was just by how the cab looked.
Josh I'm sure you know this, the slider pins on that chassis if it's an air slider just spin onto the 30/30 brake can and are snugged with a jam nut. The outfit I run for has the Tri-axle version. Outside my Dump chassis. My favorite chassis. Crazy that it sheered the 5th wheel off that Freightliner. That chassis is only 30 ft long closed. I got rear-ended in my truck back last fall I stopped for traffic 48mph to 0 in 4 sec. 2 sec. Later I got tagged to 2 mph. Every one was fine. No damage to my truck or chassis. The SUV was totalled.so I was shocked that 5thwheel Sheered off.
Big props to Mercedes and Freightliner engineers for not saving money on safety when designing the cab… I’ve seen a lot of nasty accidents with Cascadia trucks but drivers managed to walk away with only bruises and scratches… Freightliner is part of MB Daimler trucks group
Josh I've been watching your video's for about 2 weeks now. There are 2 things that impress me most about you sir. Your knowledge of recovering these vehicles and more importantly your work ethics. You are always checking and doing everything, you remind me of how I was when I was working or doing nearly anything. As always thanks for the great content, stay safe guys.

As a senior in high school i worked on weekends doing footers or foundations for new home construction and one morning for no reason i hid and didn’t answer the door when the boss came to pick me up and on his way to the job site he rear ended a semi and the trenching machine on the back of his truck came forward and completely crushed the passenger side of his truck cab. Awesome video Josh !!! Very quick recovery of those wrecked trucks . Those cabs on both trucks definitely looked like a double fatality accident . Both those drivers were very lucky not to get severely injured . The wrecked flatbed tow trucks looks to be a Hino cab /chassis and it looked like the cab held up to that impact

I hate that part of the 60. Especially bad right now with the 71 under major construction. The back-up is so bad and so many trucks stopped in the lane. Gotta pay attention to the traffic up ahead and not be too close. Especially when loaded. I realize it is easier said than done. Glad all the drivers are ok. After the parts are released to the funeral home then their loved ones can prepare for a funeral. After the car is as empty as we can get it we have to decon with water, tons of bleach then cover the runoff into the ground. It’s awful. One of my worst was a drunk driver going the wrong way on the highway blacked out (he had his lights off) hit a mini van with a whole family plus mom who was 34 weeks pregnant passing through with their 5 kids on the way to FL to take their kids to Disney. That whole ordeal took 9 hours from on scene time to wrapping up at the impound lot. It’s heart crushing, makes you kind of hard, numb…and the driver died to so no answers or justice for the family. Honestly, 9 times out of 10 you want to plumb air as close to the compressor as possible. I genuinely fell in love with towing trucks with the older Cummins blocks, because Cummins used to put an R134 fitting (i.e. the same connector that's used on the air conditioning system) on the metal compressor output line. There's a neat little tool (which comes in a full set, I can toss you the link if you want... super useful, paid for itself multiple times within my first week of having it) which can utilize that fitting and a quick connect to get air into the system of the truck you're towing real friggen quick. Like, full air hookup in less than 5 minutes quick. Some trucks the play is to disconnect the compressor output line and hook an adapter directly to it, some trucks you have to go to the air dryer and force the system to pressurize in reverse, and some trucks I've had to pull drain valves off of tanks and run air directly into one of the tanks. Many many ways to get air into the system... the bigger challenge is certain types of drivelines that refuse to play ball when you go to pull them. To this day, I well and truly *hate* pressed-in drivelines
Pepe, you did a great job bro. Love watching you work on the real freaky stuff. I love that you’re a great human and a humble guy. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Peace out !!!!

Now for the complaint, I am a 78 year old Vietnam Combat Veteran. I avoided body piercings by ducking at the correct time. I don't understand why people drill holes in their ears, noses and where ever else. Pull the rings out of your ears and restore them before you are old and your ear lobes are touching your shoulders. Good video! That flatbed tow driver was going pretty fast. That chassis was in an extended position and the locking pins were completely sheared off. Driver has long road to recovery head of here. 🙏🏽 but thank god no fatalities.

I just want to say that those guys peeps tow trucking company out there in Los Angeles California. You guys are doing one hell of a job you guys making sure that everybody else gets a toe and making sure you guys have everything else that you guys have going on. I’m glad that you guys got brand new truck so glad that you guys got good friend to come also help you out and get you to do good and bad situation’s at least you guys are doing your best so keep up the good work maybe one day I’ll come out the Los Angeles and visit you guys one day. I am watching you show right now so you guys take care God bless.
As a crane operator, I've been to rigging class, just so I know enough to say something if the real riggers mess up... This always amazes me how you guys plan everything out and get things to move right where you want them, even while directing guys like me!
I love your videos. Much engineering goes into dealing with such a wide variety of wrecks.
Beautiful, expensive, well maintained equipment. You and your employees do a great job.
Thanks for your video work.
Good video! That flatbed tow driver was going pretty fast. That chassis was in an extended position and the locking pins were completely sheared off. Driver has long road to recovery head of here. 🙏🏽 but thank god no fatalities.
in my mind as a former truck driver, it's never overkill to do the job right the first time in a safe manner. kudos to all on the crews who did the recovery. I hope this doesn't dissuade either driver from continuing in their profession.
Great job for your entire team. Nice to see how everyone knew what they had to do and go it done. No one bossing anyone else around.
Buenas tardes, josh, un gran accidente, espero que esten bien, buen trabajo tienes un gran equipo.❤👍👏🖐️💪🇪🇦
Great work, great video. You and your crew, and Enrique rock.
Calm and professional Pepe's Boyz. Had a chuckle when the dude came over with the wood to hold the trailer up in the yard. You blocked his face but you missed his bright lime green flip flops, wtf, in a transport yard? He must of lost his boots 😂
that tow truck driver had a dash cam wonder if it will be posted somewhere that footage must be wild.
You certainly have exceptional talent for your career in towing. Awesome job.
Your knowledge and skills makes these jobs look simple - when it is far ftom it. Nice job, gents!
As far as the tow/rigging aspects are concerned, YES having the right equipment on hand, coupled with experience gets the job done quicker and safer. Well done sir!
We’ve repaired worse chassis’s. It’s fixable. Glad to hear all involved walked away.
Josh rigs so well, he does a mic drop at the end.
You noticed that huh 😂 I actually did drop the mic when I climb the chassis to rig which is my voice cuts out but you hear the freeway lol
From a driver who had 1M OTR, thanks guys, and how lucky was every driver involved?!
Looks like someone wasn’t paying attention, or was following too closely and traffic came to a sudden stop.
