My laptop's boot drive was having issues and I decided to buy a new ssd sata with bigger capacity. Installed new Windows 10 and was sure that every driver was installed. Then, I noticed my keyboard backlight wasn't working. I tried reinstalling the asus keyboard driver but it didn't work. Now, after I tried this tutorial it worked after the restart. Awesome video. After reinstalling windows my screen got darker and I couldn't adjust the brightness with the hotkey like I did before. Works as new now with the updated SSD as well :D

HI I have Asus Zenbook UX392FN, problem ATK is not available in my list of Drivers I could download, so not sure now how will I be able to enable my keyboard's backlit. Hope you could help me :)
Hmm try selecting a different os than what you actually have installed if it lets you
my ROG strix G15 G512LU doesn't have the "ATK" option in driver section and i don't know what to do i even tried selecting "other" in OS section, any help?

So my keyboard will turn on when i hit the fn+dim backlight button or fn+bright backlight button for it but it will shut off in about 2 seconds after that. I downloaded the atk driver, I did a repair first, rebooted, same results, then I did a remove, reboot then install, reboot, same results? Asus Q501L any advice? TIA
The keyboard backlight? Does it do that even in the dark? Usually it only lights up while in use I think.
I had my ASUS GL553VD fixed and everything wasn't working, but this video helped me out and everything is working now.

Hello sir , my hotkeys work but everytime after booting for like 1 -2 minutes it don't work ,only I can use function+volume button ... And sometime middle of work I can't use hotkeys. Is this method going to do solve my problem or I have to do something else ?

i have tuf fx505gt and when i go to the support page there is no ,,ATK" download. What can i do?
Might need something else. Some said asus hotkey or something from Microsoft app store.
Before it was working fine but when i migrated to window 11 from window 10 its stop working, so will it work in windows 11 also?

You have to check the bios. Not all laptops have the feature though. You might have to just put something to hold the button down.

You need to install the drivers/software from asus.

This is an old video but can you tell me if the Asus GL502VS even has a backlit keyboard? It’s got the symbols on the F keys but nothing I do (including your tutorial) gets the keys lit
You might want to open it and check if there is a backlight cable
Most likely getting the wrong drivers or something

Hey mate, i did all the steps but there is no ATK update available on the asus website, do you know where I can find an update someplace else ?
Not sure what else it might be. Check other drivers available from the original OS that came with the laptop.

That'll take some time and effort. I do this stuff for a living. If I'm going to do work for an individual person, I'll need to be compensated for that time. You can try contacting ASUS for support with the issue.
Hey Man, i having this problem since i updated some drivers in the Asus Website. My RGB Led bottom Left Side of my laptop are not syncing in the keyboard and to the right side of my Asus ROG Strix G.

Is there any atk file for asus tuf a15 like its not there in they are server... my problem is that the backlight of keyboard is lower by me ok..and now if I increase it doesn't work and when I off my laptop it shows the light 😑.. any solution ik there is no hardware issue.. it looks like software one.. so can u help me out please

Hey man, Yesterday i got my hands on my asus tuf a15 2021 it was working fine at the start but after i updated windows i got the same problem. I watched your video but when i go to the asus site and try to find drivers the atk file is not listed it just tells you to open MyAsus app to update. I installed drivers from external site but still keyboard lights are not working, i can tune them through aroumycrate only but not the hotkeys. Really need your help brother.
If you can upload your own atk drivers in google drive or any other site i can try them too. I really need help in this matter.

@@ItsBinhRepaired Just did it did not fix it. The problem is that today my asus firmware updated from version 303 to 307 through windows update which is the source of problem( i think so) but their is no way to revert back to the version 303.

hi just wanna know how to return the indicators that appear when you press the hotkeys? i reinstalled mine and everything and it is working great but it no longer appears on the screen what hotkey is being used? i don't see the keyboard brightness indicator that u had on ur video.

Not sure. Maybe try reset bios to default and check if any settings for keyboard backlight.

Hi. there's no ATK package in the driver & tools. My laptop is Asus FX505GT.
You'll likely have to find something from the Microsoft app store. I think some people mentioned fixes in the comment section.
i have asus tuf a15 earlier FN key + arrows key used to control keyboard backlight but now those key are not working... my laptop of is fully new... less than a month...
so will it fix it ?

These are customer computers. I don't have manufacturers sending me all their computers to try repairs on. Lol Only you can test if it'll work or not. No point in me guessing if it'll work.

I tried updating the drivers. But it seems like I need to change the keyboard. Unable to find this model keyboard @amazon or anywhere....😔 Can you please share any leads..

I did the same, and the fisrt time i runned the setup.exe it unistalled ATK, but when i run setup.exe to install it again, it keeps asking if i want to uninstall it, and it is already unistalled. Any advice or how can i install it again?
