People need to realize this isn't a fair match-up. A gorilla can do virtually nothing to a grizzly bear. They don't have the ability or the natural tools to deal with their loose skin and devastating size, speed and strength. A gorilla has incredibly tight skin, giving easy access to all of its important muscles and organs. The bear would furiously nip 3-4 times in a second and leave the gorilla completely devastated. The gorilla would bleed out mid fight and the bear would likely rip it apart well after it died just out of instinct and frustration. There is literally nothing a gorilla could do. A bite from a gorilla wouldn't reach anything but loose skin and their strength is absolutely not even close to a bear's. They can't pull their limbs off or anything like that. Whereas, the Grizzly is omnivorous and expert at tearing flesh from prey. They are much bigger, and expert wrestlers, with 4/5 inch claws and a larger jaw expanse that can easily cover a gorillas head-- end of gorilla. 😮
The gorilla has superior intelligence. He would know to get away from the bear as fast as possible. Wouldn't even need to think twice. OK. So I'm not saying the gorilla in no way beats the bear! I'm telling the people that say the gorilla has superior intelligence & think somehow that's enough to beat the bear, that the only super intelligent thing for the gorilla to do would be to run. Bear would still run it down & kill it but that's as far as its superior intelligence would get it! I guess it's difficult for some people to understand what I meant by that. It's called sarcasm 🙄
For those of us who actually grew up and live in central Africa where Silverback gorillas live I can tell you for sure that there's no more terrifying site than a silverback defending it's territory and family! In the wild we have witnessed silverbacks rip off huge branches off trees and hurl them at bull elephants when elephants migrate into their territory. We've witnessed them carry heavy boulders and chase elephants and hurl them at them with great speed and precision! They are known to snap bamboo bushes and use them as spears! Elephants are known to avoid areas in the jungle occupied by Gorillas! As well as other big beasts! Alot of people in the west talk about Gorillas without ever experiencing one! A full silverback in dominant display, beating it's chest, and bracing for battle is one of the most terrifying forces in nature, even lions back off when they see it!
@@josephndode9032I know people who study gorillas and they would tell you your bullshitting. You really expect me to believe a gorillas actually throwing shit at an adult elephant herd and getting away with it?
@ChronicalsofAl Yes the average Grizzly out weighs a gorilla by 250 pounds. As soon as it gets a hold of the gorilla it will he crushed and killed. A gorilla fights via wrestling and hammerfisting. A bear fights via wrestling and claw attacks. It's claws are deadlier than the gorillas hammer fists. And it completely outclassed the gorilla in strength and mass. The bear is heavily favored in this fight.
@loitersquadx8590 Never said it didn't just that this match heavily favours the bear. It's like wondering who's gonna win in a fight between Brock Lesnar in his prime and Conner McGregor in his. Like in pure statistics it favours Lesnar.
A race horse's avg. top speed is 10 mph faster than a grizzly bears'. But of course the bear wins in stamina. So the terrain will determine If a Grizz can catch a race horse or not.
A grizzly bears instinctual brain and aggression are widely known by everybody. A silverback gorillas intelligence and gentleness are widely known by everybody. I think these traits of these 2 animals are their default settings. Here are some hypotheticals: IF the grizzly bear is in heat and super hungry against the gorilla, I think the bear wins. IF the gorilla was angry and the bear was not hungry, gorilla wins. How about this one... IF the bear was angry and hungry and the gorilla was in-between the momma bear and baby bear....but the gorilla had experience fighting other grizzly bears and was protecting his clan.... I'd have to give it to the gorilla.
lmao grizzly wins 100/100 times, they are multiple times bigger and are essentially living tanks able to take shots from a 12ga shot gun, gorilla has thin skin with little fat for protection, gorilla would be lucky to escape with massive injury.
@jboy856 The gorllia is hugely stronger, a large male grizzly weighs maybe 250-260kg. A male gorilla can bench 1800kg. Hard for the bear to do much with its jaw and one of its forelimbs ripped off. They are known to be gentle with their own, but they are vicious make no mistake and like I said have almost unfathomable strength. Like they could bench my VW golf bro. They also know how to use tools, like rocks.
@@spencerquimby4726 ur tripping dude adult male grizzlies are 900-2000lbs a gorillas stong but not on the level of a grizzly.. plus grizzlies are much more aggressive, they are built more durable and have far more endurance then a gorilla being known to chase horses untill they collapse from exhaustion, besides hippos rhino and elephant theres not really another animal on earth that could take on a grizzly.
@jboy856 Average weight of an adult male grizzly is 400 to 600 pounds. Their weight fluctuates quite drastically from season to season for obvious reasons. A 1000lb grizzly...is asleep.
To all who think the Silverback would have a chance consider this. Grizzly is way bigger, way stronger, way faster and also has more weapons at it's disposal. Long story short the Silverback has no chance!
The grizzly cannot grab objects or hold things like a gorilla can. And does not have the bite force of a gorilla you think a gorilla is just going to stand there while attacking then your as dumb as the guy talking in the video a gorilla is going to use tools and go for the grizzly back where the grizzly has no defense where as the gorilla could literally crush it while hugging or snapping its arms or even ripping its jaw off I'd needed remember a gorilla is not standing still or face to face against its opponent
Not many people would go hiking or camping in Silverback territory, yet thousands do it in Grizzly country every year, in spite of the occasional fatal attacks. Doesn't say much for human intelligence.

The silverbacks signature move is to use both forearms at once and stomp it's adversary on the back. If it lands that on the grizzly it breaks it's spinal cord easily! In the African jungle even elephants are known to avoid grazing or passing through areas occupied by Gorillas!

Try fighting a Tiger with your bare hands and you are dying. If Einstein and Ali got into a fight, Ali would have won. Nerds get bullied by Jocks in school.
Gorillas get waxed by small Forest Leopards, because of the variable called ‘claws’. Forget taking on a animal five to 10 times heavier like a Bear and with claws the size of Michelin chef’s knives.
Grizzly would not be use to something fighting back so effectively. The bite force of the gorilla would be a frightening new experience. Neither would win. The Grizzlys survival instinct would kick in and he'd retreat thinking there's easier ways to get a meal. (Video has bite force wrong)
IF the Grizzly is hungry - it would attack a strongman (350 to 500llbs) bison, moose who are all taller and heavier than a silverback (350lbs)... so definitely would attack silverback. Silver can defend itself by pushing grizzly back....and then get out of fight....
@lf3566 For all animals (including human) your survival instinct is stronger than your hunger instinct. In fact it is your strongest instinct. If the grizzly could overcome his survival instinct he might....but no wild animal especially, can do that. And bears are intelligent. As for the gorilla. A silver back gorilla could bench press 1500 pounds. A fully grown grizzly is approx 1000 pounds. And gorillas grow up fighting. Bears occasionally fight. So no.....that 1300psi bite from the gorillas 2 inch canines would be enough to make the bear back off. Survival comes first. Ever see a bear try and take moose calf, he won't even mess with the cow moose to much.
Gets it's arms ripped off? You've been watching too much JRE...or cartoons. A gorilla might rip a humans arm off or at least severely wound the human....but rip a grizzly bears arm off? No. Also, bears don't have arms. They have legs. Y
@@calebwaln533 Unfactual, chimps are 1.6 times stronger then humans pound for pound. While humans weigh almost two times more, so an athletic human can easily take down a chimp. Also taking off a human limb is almost impossible for gorillas I'm sure of. A human bone takes 4,000 newtons to break, our muscles can break our bones easily. Its close to about 20,000 newtons to rip off a human arm. While a gorilla can only muster 2,300-5,000 newtons which is more than enough to crush a human skull.
Gorillas also jump somewhere between 30 and 50 inches and can clearly climb the best. 3d environment he'd be like a predator vs big cats. Bears can climb trees and run fast but their speed and lateral movements wouldn't be as good as a gorilla. If a gorilla is strong enough to break a bear's neck with his hands then we really are good.
@@JosephStalin311 it's not always about size. Put a honey badger in the mix and he might be the only one to walk out. You don't mess with a honey badger no matter how big you are because you might lose literally everything.
@@JosephStalin311 again, the weapon and how it's used wins. The grip force of a gorilla alone is 1300lbs per square inch, the measurement of power with a Lion's jaw is 600lbs psi. The bite force of a Gorilla is 1300psi. Smaller, not as much mass, can't run as fast, doesn't have claws... A bear fights like a bull. It charges, grips and tries to rag doll you until you don't fight back. Khabib controlling a Silverback via Neuralink and his understanding of wrestling and balance.... Khabib wrecks the bear with that kinda grip, athleticism and bite force. You only need to break and tear off something bad enough to scare a bear. Bears will not simply fight to the death arbitrarily as a point. Honey Badgers will, they don't stop till they have the Queens Jewels. Bears have weak points to their fight game. A bear would get wrecked by a hippo. An army of bears against an army of hippos or honey badgers? Bears get wiped out.
This is what I think.. Bears are angry creatures and are hellbent on killing for food but one that protects and cares for its family will crush anything in its way
The gorilla has the strength to actually pick the bear up or pin it down to actually rip limbs and has deadly bite force. The power of having a thumb is under rated lol
But the naked skin wouldn't like to get scratched by these massive claws. Also, bear paws are 3x the size of a Gorilla hand, including massive forearms. Nothing on this planet grab them and hold it for any time.

There are few animals on the planet that could take on a grizzly. Their attitude alone gives them an edge nevermind their physical prowess
Gorilla is 100% Herbivore. Not used to biting into flesh. They generally don't fight, except when silverbacks fight for dominance.

Wheres he running to? The bear runs almost twice as fast
@tigbeast5257 bear would run him down hahaha. If he had a mile or two head start I mean lol
Humans are way more intelligent. Does that mean we also can fight bear? 🧐👌

@jboy856 And to translate, 1800kg is about 3,900lbs. My car only weighs 3300lbs or about 5.5 adult male grizzlies. Rag. Doll.

@@carlfreeman6687Gorilla a pull his nuts off ab chew them like bubble gum.

Consider this: summarizes the video.
Their both a formidable force .
Not many people would go hiking or camping in Silverback territory, yet thousands do it in Grizzly country every year, in spite of the occasional fatal attacks.
Doesn't say much for human intelligence.
100s of tourists visit up close in gorilla territory and aren't harmed
They have guided tours of Gorilla lowlands. And no recorded incidents of a gorilla seriously hurting a person
I wander around grizzly territory all the time and have done for so 30 years now, I have come across several bears up close, 50 feet or less is crazy close, you soon realize that you got to live because the bear let you. it is something you respect and also avoid as much as possible

You are dead wrong. If a grizzly wanted to they would obliterate a gorilla in a matter of seconds!
IF the Grizzly is hungry - it would attack a strongman (350 to 500llbs) bison, moose who are all taller and heavier than a silverback (350lbs)... so definitely would attack silverback. Silver can defend itself by pushing grizzly back....and then get out of fight....
Leopards hunt gorillas, even large silverbacks... they stand less of a chance than a black bear.
@@levondarratt787you seem to forget a Gorilla is pure muscle and agile as fuck. Their strenght is insane. Surely dont hope they will ever meet?
Ever see a bear try and take moose calf, he won't even mess with the cow moose to much.
every bears got a plan until it gets its arms ripped off

@@calebwaln533 Unfactual, chimps are 1.6 times stronger then humans pound for pound. While humans weigh almost two times more, so an athletic human can easily take down a chimp.
Also taking off a human limb is almost impossible for gorillas I'm sure of. A human bone takes 4,000 newtons to break, our muscles can break our bones easily. Its close to about 20,000 newtons to rip off a human arm. While a gorilla can only muster 2,300-5,000 newtons which is more than enough to crush a human skull.

How many gorillas will it take? - As many as it takes! "Gorilla swarm intensifies"

@@JosephStalin311 again, the weapon and how it's used wins. The grip force of a gorilla alone is 1300lbs per square inch, the measurement of power with a Lion's jaw is 600lbs psi.
