  • 30g fibre a day should be possible, but only if we are eating natural foods!
    Yet in the UK we struggle to even eat 20g a day. Here are some quick tips to boost your fibre intake each day.
    Here are my quick hacks for adding some extra fibre into your diet.
    1 x avocado 🥑 6g
    100g cooked lentils 8g
    50g Porridge oats 5g
    50g dried Quinoa 3.5g
    30g Flaxseeds. 9g
    30g chia seeds 11g
    100g edamame noodles 25g
    100g veggies 2-4g
    100g White bean mash. 9g
    100g chickpeas 7g
    100g dried lentil pasta 26g!!
    30g nuts or seeds 4g
    Adding plenty from the above can really boost your intake.
    Your goal is 5 veggies and 2-3 fruits a day which would provide at least HALF of your daily fibre intake.
    We need fibre for gut health, managing glucose levels and supporting our gut microbes, which in turn, support our immunity, make vitamins, reduce inflammation, help us digest fats and our food, keep us regular and make substances, called SCFA, that keep our gut healthy.
