Weight of Life was the song I was hoping they’d use for Xenoblade 3, and not only did they do it, but flutist POPPED OFF! Props to him fr!
An orchestra version of The Way You Compute Tonight is really beyond imagine and still fun ! Congratulations to Stray !!
Affirmatif !
Even though Stray didn't win GOTY, it's still one of my favorite games of 2022. You're playing as a cute cat and even it's even nominated together with Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok.
XB3 won in my heart but congrats to Eldin Ring and all the other nominees this year!!
Honestly, this is the only arrangement that has genuinely made me emotional and even tear up a little bit, especially during the transitions from Plague Tale to Stray (1:33), and from Stray to Elden Ring (2:03). Absolutely amazing, and would've given anything in the world to have the honor of playing in this orchestra. Great job. Sincerely, a band student.
1 an après, j'en ai encore des frissons de ce que tu dis ! ce medley est incroyable et sera imbattable !
the transition from plague tale to stray is 🔥🔥🔥

Totally agree, that transition too smoothi feel so chill and goosebumps when during that

The 2022 GOTY Awards was special. Seeing smaller games like Stray be nominated for GOTY was so inspiring, and this medley conveys the feeling of that so well!
This is always the best part of the game awards, for some reason they always make me tear up a bit, love videogames.
The man who played the flute in the weight of life deserves an award too, seem like he put his entire soul playing that track
Last year that girl destroyed the guitar and now this year the flutist just decided to go fluting 💀he really murdered his part and went above that
Xenoblade music is untouchable
0:38-1:08 absolutely the best 30 seconds of the Game Awards.
Xenoblade is trash
Seriously don't judge a game by its cover. I did the same thing with Xenoblade, and when I decided to give it an oportunity 10 months ago with Xenoblade 2... Best game ever.
@@fp2591 You haven't played it tho
@@fp2591roblox trash too
well comments are keep talking about xenoblade flute guy, maybe i should try the game some day.
3:28 Look how Pedro the flute guy is celebrating after giving such a magnificent performance!
stray gave me tears in my eyes. What an honor for an indie game man. So happy it won best indie game. Edit: Song name for Stray was "The Way You Compute Tonight". Im really happy they chose that song :D
The fact it got nominated was an achievement itself, Stray still wins 🐱
Finally, an Stray comment. Yes, a nameless kitty made it to the big leagues. I love this game 🐱❤️
I'm still trying to work out what track they remixed for Stray, though. Didn't go with any of the tracks I expected. :P
@@angelbloodshinrabut maaan, the stray part was soo good
@@angelbloodshinra yeah me too! It sounds so familiar but I cant figure out what they used.
Flute Guy gave Xenoblade's flutes the passion it deserves
hearing Weight of Life in the medley felt so special and done with such fervor brings a tear to my eye
The orchestra at TGA is something I look forward to all year and really sets it apart from other award shows. Music to games is such an integral part of the experience that we love to see honored. Please never stop this tradition!
Not enough people are talking about how they turned the way you compute tonight from a silly little song a robot plays while you sleep into a beautiful epic masterpiece
Exactly, it is beautiful
Reminder everyone. Live you life with as much enjoyment and eusiasium as the flute guy with the blond hair. That dude was living the best life, and it showed :D
Amazing work. Might be one of my favorite orchestras, along with the 2020 one.
Goodnight, have a great rest of your night/sleep, and see everyone next year
Stray being part of that Orchestra just broke me deep down..😢❤
I cried a little 😢
The fact that Stray managed to go on top together with GOW and Elden Ring makes me so happy.
not bad for an indie game
Despite the rather short-lasting playthrough, Stray is absolutely goated. Spectacular indie game.
Stray has just got into the history of video games !
If it was longer, it could have actually served as a real contender for GOTY. Shame it wasn’t though.
I was honestly surprised (and pleased) that Stray was a GOTY nominee. For a short indie game, it certainly made quite an impact.
I can’t overstate how amazing that this presentation was. I know that people are (understandably) cynical about awards shows these days, but I thought that this year’s GAME Awards were actually really good. It felt like an actual celebration, and not just an industry circlejerk.
Except best music where they cucked both Xenoblade and Elden Ring,
Dad of War is a great game, but it is not because of the music.
Yep, and to top it all off it had moments like the or orchestra/ flute guy, Rabbi Bill Clinton, Miyazaki getting on stage but not announcing DLC just yet, Al-Pacino handing out an acting award and the winner talks for 30 minutes, sequels getting announced, fans actually voting for categories, etc.
It was gud...
And Elden Ring won which is HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE.
But games like Stray and Xenoblade made it into the nominees...
Animal simping for Malenia... That's all I'm gonna say.
@@misspurdy27288 I'm really not familiar with the entire soundtrack of Xenoblade and GoW, but I gotta say that the Elden Ring soundtrack is chef's kiss.
The transition from Stray to Elden Ring hit so hard the camera man almost fell over.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 might not have gotten an award but at least we got to hear a real off-seer.
All I wanted was to hear the game awards orchestra play "The Weight of Life" and it was marvellous!
Always love this part of The Game Awards.
Xenoblade didn’t win anything but that flute guys in the orchestra sure should, my man is as legendary as that soundtrack!

Please play Xenoblade
Forgive what I said
Staying through the awards just for this, and it's worth it!!
Flute Man really did The Weight of Life justice.
ゼノブレイド3がノミネートされてテンション上がったけど、エルデンリングとゴッド・オブ・ウォーと競う相手が凄すぎた。それでも海外で良作と認められた事は本当に嬉しい。

フランスからこんにちは :)
I literally only tuned in for Stray and the song choice did not disappoint. I cried tears of joy. This whole tribute was absolutely AMAZING. Idk how many times I’ve watched this.
This orchestra, Christopher judge's speech, flute guy and Bill Clinton were definitely the highlights of this year's awards.
Xenoblade still wins in our hearts, just the nominations and the part in the orchestra were incredible blessings !
Xenoblade won with the orchestra and nominations even if no award. That was good enough after being robbed year after year thank you for the beautiful music
Yep I agree ! ( Still deserved that Best Music award though... )
Not a Xenoblade fan but that is one hell of an achievement for an anime game to be nominated for game of the year, props to them
@@marcusgabriel8365 Tbf xenoblade 2 in my opinion even though i never played it only watched it but i feel was the worst one. The character design was so questionable in that game but in XC3 waaaaay better I'd say the best game in the series and probably go a step beyond that and say a good starting point for newcomers since this is Nintendo's final fantasy where storylines in each game don't really connect, just references that's it.
In the end i feel this game is Nintendo's FF7 aka the best xenoblade ever made and would buy again if a remake ever happens in 10-20 years
@@TimelessWolves Trust me, they definitely do connect
@@reeriot1485 Oh i always thought it was their final fantasy where it's a new story every game and you don't have to play the others
Imagine if you were the flute guy playing normal song , then all of the sudden you were hired to play “weight of life “ and the other cool music I’d be going crazy too 😂
I still think that this is the best composition that they’ve done, which is saying a lot because they’re all so amazing!
I just commented the same! 100% agreed! :D
The flute guy went hard and was the MVP who the whole performance, we need more of him. Give that man all the awards.
Hearing The Weight of Life performed live was incredible! A shame Xenoblade 3 didn’t win best soundtrack.
I don't understand how Ragnarok won. It's soundtrack is by no means bad but it sounded a bit generic compared to the others and not just the main theme. Elden Ring, Xenoblade and Plague Tale are next level and much more memorable to me.
@@valentinvas6454 At least Xenoblade got nominated. *cries in Sonic Frontiers*
@@valentinvas6454 it was Recency Bias, the game released literally a week before the deadline to qualify for voting. That's the entire reason it won as many awards as it did. Ironically, I haven't heard a single thing about Ragnarok since then, and yet I'm still hearing praise about XC3 even now.
@@valentinvas6454 the game awards have a heavy bias against jrpgs. Xenoblade was lucky to be nominated, even though it was the clear winner

You have to admit: The way the song/ orchestra transitions to match each game’s theme is phenomenal.
the way the flute guy absolutely went hard during ‘The Weight of Life’ shows truly how significant the flute is in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Bummed out it didn’t get any awards, but it’s a GOTY game in my heart. THANK YOU FLUTE GUY!!!!
I’m gonna be honest, seeing the cast of Xenoblade up on the big screen almost made me cry. I don’t know what it was, but it’s like I had flashbacks of their journey since I completed the game not too long ago.

The A Plague Tale part gives the medley so much room to breath. It's just beautifully arranged. It's so refreshing. Amazing soundtracks.
The transition from Stray to Elden Ring too! This is probably why the Stray section is my favorite, because the transitions are just so on point lol
