Plot twist: Original captain crash landed on At attin, kills original supervisor and assumes the identity. Reason the captain is alive after all this time is hes a droid.
@@davidlutz2242 Nah fam i bet Wims daddy somehow Escaped and told those Pirates where the planet is Before being killed when returning to the planet with the pirate. dink donk?
The supervisor tower reminds me of the tower on Koboh in Jedi Survivor. In Survivor they used Zee, a High Republic droid, to help use the tower to travel to a hidden galaxy. The At Attin security droids remind me of the blue droid you rescue from underground in Survivor as well.
I believe the ship has been there too long for the captain to still be in charge, but that assumes he lives as long as us. A longer living spiecies - or a droid/AI is also possible - as well as maybe a hybrid. Perhaps a human with cybernetics that has to swap out the human part every so often with their consciousness transferred to the new host via the cybernetics. Perhaps eliminating or imprisoning the previous consciousness of the host. So they have to prepare the new human every so often. And they will not only have to save their planet or their friend.
Anyone notice that the statue looked like The father character? Or What if he was the pirate who was looking for At Attin and became an analyst to look over the money and his son. Which is why he was so calm when they took off and when the parents were waiting for answers from the supervisor.
Don't think Jod is from Alde. He says his homeworld smells like ashes or something. Don't think Alde smells much of anything these days. Hope that the captain is not the supervisor, bit of a shame if it's the case. It would kinda erase any backstory from the old repu and why those planets have been singled out at the time (experiment or whatever)and why this particular planet is still going "strong" compared to the others. Finally, the ship did crashland, (it was upside down when the kids discovered it) so something went wrong at the time, like a possible mutiny and the former captain was killed. Have to say, on a story telling POV it seems more interesting to have the Captain dying upon arriving on this fable world after searching for it presumably for a very long time because of the consequences of his actions (murdering his crew for greed), and if it's inspired by Stevenson's book ... Well, Flynt is dead by the time of the story.
Btw, there is similar statue in the background when the kids are on their way to school. But it has a head and it’s Neels species, plus his species is on the mural looking like a king or chancellor !! Check it out!
At Attin went from feeling like a cozy suburban neighborhood full of mundane people living in peace. To a dystopian nightmare that forces conformity and discourages any kind of independent thinking.
At Attin survived all the wars that plagued the Galaxy. Even if the supervisor is a pirate, keeping the people out of the turmoil and living in a prosperous "utopia" isn't at all bad.
I think Wims fathers the captain and the missing link to the whole thing. Not one person has suggested that yet except me so I expect some kind of a prize if I'm right
😂…that’s funny! But in all seriousness I bet you are on to something when it comes to Wims dad. He’s made some faces that gave the impression that he knows more than he’s saying so far.
I feel like that ship crashed thousands of years before the event of this story. The captain would have to been another species, a droid or someone who found a way to prolong life perhaps
When they talk to SM-33 again, he mentions how the captain made the ship crash because of a mutiny - the crew was doubting the treasure and legend. It's possible no one survived the crash, right?
#JustStarWars -- I suspect we've already seen this Pirate extraordinaire... possibly in some statue on the surface or reference or otherwise in the first episodes.
Anyone considered it’s an order 66 survivor? The Jedi should have known of these 9 jewels and a Jedi on the run might go looking for At Attin and destroying any evidence along the way.
It was a boring episode really. First I thought they landed on the wrong side of At Attin (beyond a barrier) and had a Logan's Run moment or something. Obviously they couldn't get through the barrier from their side.
I think money management and old Republic credits is a major reason it was one of the nine jewels of the old republic, but I believe the real worth and great work are the children. If the old republic was run by Jedi as protectors of the peace through the force, they would need a school system to find younglings. So my theory is all nine jewels were testing grounds for possable "sensitives" for possable Jedi membership after order 66 the kids would now be harvested to be either those "Sith cops" that hunt down Jedi or even worse like Grogu they are to be used to bring back ol' Gnarly nubs and be harvested of the metacloreians to bring us to... "Somehow, Palpatine returned." He could have paid a Pirate crew to kill the 8 other jewels but saved the best one for himself. I think the Captian was force sensitive and felt great guilt at the fall of the other worlds with so many children when he found the last he couldn't do it because he was actually born on one of these worlds or was told to by his employer to leave the last for himself and as a reward he could stay as long as he never left. And got caught and banished with his ship and bot lost until...
Because an order to “forget” is not the same thing as “erase”. The droid was ordered by the old captain not to retrieve the memory from its memory archive. The new caption reversed that order with a new command to “remember” or retrieve that memory.
As much as I want to find out who or what the supervisor is. It whoudnt be a bad idea for them to leave it at a cliffhanger so we all are like wtf who I'd it or something like that then season 2 we all are back to finish the first season and just hope we get another great season.
Hey, even Firefly eventually got Serenity - the cast is so talented there might eventually be a movie someday, but hopefully there are many more seasons first.
That would be a mistake that Disney has made before (Ahsoka, The Acolyte). They have to learn the skill of providing a complete and satisfying story with each season, not just make the first season a set-up for a hoped-for second season. If people are not satisfied by the first season (which would be indicated by frequent re-watches of the first season), it makes the second season unlikely.
Fern will be the captain's descendant. Be better if it was Neel, but Disney is still on the girl boss kick. She had to yield to Jod. Her being related to the captain will be Disney's way to make her win
I hope that Lego or the HASLAB comes out with an Onyx Cinder with the kids and Jod and SM33 included with the ship. I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t make this, especially with it being a story about kids having an adventure. Seems like a no-brainer for those companies as far as making a ship for it. 🤷🏻♂️
But it's parked! The door was locked, power was off, just like the vintage (but dusty) old cars that are suddenly discovered in an elderly person's garage after being forgotten for fifty years
I agree. People who have secrets to keep continue all their lives to cover them up deeper and deeper. There would have been so many security droids around that area that nobody would have been able to get to the ship unobserved, and anyone who did would _disappear._
Can’t say I remember no At Attin
That’s definitely the line of the show!

Pirates want the treasure and droids aren’t exactly obsessed with treasure.
What if the rodent in SM-33 's eye is the captain?
I thought this too! He keeps hanging around despite all of the opportunities for him to get lost
That’s the captain lol
I wondered about this too!
Great guess
I'm kinda hoping a Vault-Tec sort of backstory. Several planets with exactly the same setup and resources, but every planet is an experiment 😁
I would love that!!! The vaults are my favorite piece of fallout and seeing a planet sized version sounds amazing!!
Underrated channel. Watched theory from the beginning and stupendous and I feel you can hit those heights

The Captain will end up being one of the parents of the children.
Neels Dad may be the supervisor, or his ancestors where the originals and maybe ur right. The captain might of take control from the blue elephants

SM-33 seems more like Long John Silver than Jod does
Agreed, and Long Lohn Silver wanted to retire on Treasure Island without anyone following.

I think something related but he seeing the ship gives me the impression at least not the mystery captain
It’s been said
The pirate ship was buried and old, waaay older than Whim's father.
When approaching the planet they quite clearly think it looks exactly like their home. Not just at the city level.
I feel like that ship crashed thousands of years before the event of this story. The captain would have to been another species, a droid or someone who found a way to prolong life perhaps
This show is fantastic. I like your analysis

The most fun fans have had guessing the mystery in a while.
Perhaps the great surviving captain pirate is I, Hondo Ohnaka!...or perhaps not. We shall see!!
The mystery Captain IS the Supervisor on At-Attin
#JustStarWars -- I suspect we've already seen this Pirate extraordinaire... possibly in some statue on the surface or reference or otherwise in the first episodes.
I remember a more civilized time on TH-cam when thumbnails didn't feel the need to add circles and arrows
The real mystery is, how did Neel not hit that???
Utopias tend to be hamster cages relying on everyone being a satisfied cog in the wheels and not upsettign the balance ;)

60 years was long ago but we still have lots of people who are 70 years old
What if there's a whole network of alien worlds out there and we on Earth are being kept in the dark similarly to At Attin?
Wim's father is the former pirate captain...
Maybe his great grandfather?
Seems there's just so much more to uncover, I can't see it all taking place in just the 2 final episodes
I think At Attin history have similarities with Australia's Formation
7:33 I wish I had grown up in a bedroom like that
If you order a robot to forget something, how can they remember it later?
Because an order to “forget” is not the same thing as “erase”. The droid was ordered by the old captain not to retrieve the memory from its memory archive. The new caption reversed that order with a new command to “remember” or retrieve that memory.

Skeleton Crew
Mandolorian
Ashoka
Book of Bobba
Obi-Wan
Acolyte

they should ask the "warriors" 33 saw if they have traded with pirates
the dad knew right away where the ship was so idk seems weird
The original captain is probably long dead
