Barbel Fishing in Yorkshire River - Surprise PB!

- After having a long time away from fishing since a teenager, I remember catching Barbel on a local fishing lake and always held them as my favourite fish to catch due to the way they look and the way they fight. Whether they were stocked in the lake or wild from the river bank that flooded close by I'm not sure but before this year I had never caught one wild from a river.
In this video they are my target species and I use a simple feeder set up on a local river to try my Luck at catching a PB!

Not yet mate! Thanks for the tip, will have to make the trip. Some nice trotting glides on that stretch? We are a bit obsessed with catching barbel on the float at the moment.

I thought at one stage with your best Barbel, I think a bigger net would have been helpful 😂 Nicely filmed/edited, nice little touch with the dogs, one at the camera, the other looking on so interested 👍 even the snippet of the long tailed tit, especially as I'm a wildlife enthusiast as well as a keen angler. Keep doing what you're doing lads, those that aren't subscribed to your channel don't know what they're missing. Thank you for sharing as always. Phil.

@@albionangling take a look at the korum range, the nets are good quality and are deep resting fish before release. I’ll find the name of the one I purchased and come back to you.
I think the one I bought was a speci square, there are 3 different sizes to choose, personally, I think they are excellent, hope that helps.
