  • Here is some insight into the build process if my nets, minus a lot of sanding! the beautiful piece of wood on the handle came from D'entremont Woods!

    Love your nets, question, what kind of wood did you use on your handle, and what do you use for finishing?

      Thanks!! This one has a stableized splated cherry handle. I wasn't confident my usual finish would bind great with the handles resin, so this one is finished with a deep pour epoxy!

    I am thinking of making my own Lansing net. I dont have much experience working with wood what will probably be evident by my question. Can i not just cut a frame from a wood plank instead of building the arch with laminate?

      Unfortunately that wouldn't be very strong, as it would have cross grain sections and more points to fail. I would recommend doing a laminate hoop!
