- Information about backflushing the oil cooler on a 6.0 Ford Powerstroke.
The truck is a 2007 Ford F-350 with about 140000 miles. The temperature difference between EOT and ECT was about 21 degrees on flat terrain in the hot Florida summer. Ford says 15 degrees maximum. I was getting the wrench light on the dash on long trips. I've learned that if you get that light along with no codes it means the temperature difference has been above 20 degrees repeatedly.
After the flushing it runs about 10-13 degrees. Before replacing your oil cooler, try this.

hey page, does the cap seem thick enough for the tap to hold up long-term? thinking about tapping a valve into it and just leaving it on the cooler for future flushes.

I'm looking at doing the same thing, my delta is about 20-25 no load, did you try a cleaner in the cooler, and should I worry about putting to much air pressure in it?
whats the part with the two bolts that inlets into the oil cooler?
Does Delta mean difference?

Complete waste of time.
It got me down the road for another year before doing the cooler.
