I often see your videos cause I'm a person who is interested on buying a small house because of my tight bughet and I think this is the only time I hear from someone the price of the renovation cost and oh, I'm so glad because it gives me a clue about the money I will be spending on after the purchase of the house. I'd like to see more videos about the money people spend on there renovation.
So refreshing to see one that is DIY, limited budget, things done with a personal rather than professional touch. The re-use of the old shower rail rules. This place has character, reflects the owner's personality, and I love how proud he is. Also his comment about the emotional support from friends
Finally a reno where there are not removing all the walls but working with what they have plus a budget friendly reno. I would like to see more of this.
Wow - I love what has been done here on a budget and by reusing lots of materials. The result is incredible. I'm going to watch it again to take in more of the details.
Beautiful. Simple. Sufficient and sustainable. Loved this one! Especially the upcycling of bits from the old apartment into things for the new apartment. More DIY videos like this, please 💚
I quite like this one! It looks so comfortable and lived in. I like it so much more when the spaces featured here feel less overly curated and more…realistic, for lack of a better word. I can see someone living through the messiness of everyday life here.
Shaun I love the renovation you have done on your apartment. The study nook with the custom shelving is genius. The fluted glass shower door just fits the style of the apartment so well. The cork flooring is a great choice based on the thermal and acoustic properties. And your decision to add in extra wall insulation will serve you well in hot Melbourne summer days. A stylish apartment in a boutique complex in a hip part of Melbourne.
This is exactly what I asked for last week! I don't know if its pure coincidence if this was next in the pipeline, but this feels like a good example of what typical modern homeowners could achieve.
i loved this flat, great inspiration for the diy projects, and the idea of oversized doors to make the wardrobe have floor to ceiling appearance was brilliant!
Yeah - great advice from him too. To not worry about it being built-in, but cover the opening with doors cut to size and use the rest above. Those areas are overlooked, and are dusty or messy if you use it for longterm storage yourself 👍☺️
This is very inspiring, gives me hope that I could do the same on a small budget if I manage to find a nice little apartment one day. I love the smart use of old materials and the wardrobe with the oversized doors. Brilliant idea for extra storage!
Excellent Shaun! You can be proud of you. Très belle rénovation avec des matériaux élégants dans un style épuré et « design ». Félicitations pour le travail réalisé ET pour le prix 😉
This one is really good. NEVER TOO SMALL showcases often stylish apartments that prioritize form over function. Stupid staircases without railings is the number one idiocy. Here you can see a case where i think it is the other way: it looks cool AND it is!! cool/reasoned.
Cool space. Feels authentic to the owner. Enjoy some of the design decisions, especially the contouring book shelf. The guy got a great outcome for the cost he put in. If I owned this place as he does, I’d slowly start refining some of the finishes and materials over time. A project like this as it’s currently shown, looks good from far but far from good. Be fun to elevate it as time went on.
Love this! Congratulations! Excellent project. And indeed now a real home with personality and a really good " vibe".. Yes more DIY and budget friendly projects on the channel please. This is so inspiring and " reachable". Just need good mates with DIY skills! The Eco elements are so vital in today's ever changing climate. Again Thank You for sharing with us all.. appreciated.
LLove this. I especially loved how Shaun made this video and apartment much more enjoyable. I checked the comments and was glad to see people actually agreed. More like this please!
Been a while since I heard someone use cork flooring. Very interesting. This home is beautiful and functional as well. Great find, NTS! More DIY please! :)
At University Hospital Zurich (main building) there are the original cork floorings in the hallways still in use, since decades, and looking awesome. 🥰
Aaaaay, that's my 'hood! Good to see it featured on the channel. I've lived in a very similar style apartment too, great to see what's possible to achieve in those old Melbourne blocks. Loved this one, simple, stylish and comfortable.
Really cool to hear about what you did to insulate your apartment better! We all know Aussie homes aren't built with insultation but no one ever talks about what you can do for apartments
Fun to see what you did to make this place yours, Shaun! I like the results. I also like that you're recycling and upgrading bits. Not sure how long you've been living there; I see potential to add storage space, if needed. Love the plants all around! Q: why didn't you switch the way the fridge door opens? We did that and it is so much easier to get to things. Q2: would you have space in your kitchen to add a dishwasher if you change your mind?
I can never understand why more people don't have fridges with left-hinged doors, when the workflow is primarily left to right. In your case, the right-hinged door makes it very cramped to access the interior of the fridge, as well.
I DO NOT WHY ALL THE APARTMENTS AROUND THE WORLD THEY DO NOT USE THE BIDET IN THE BATHROOM, NO BODY CONSIDER THIS IS VERY NASTY, DIRTY I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THIS IS TIPICAL ITALIAN TO HAVE IT
Not having a dishwasher is insane. It's faster, much more sanitary, consumes less water and electricity than hand washing, and is overall better for everyone, including the owner. That computer "desk" is also unusable and completely unergonomic. I don't understand why this would be an apartment to feature.
Would love to see more budget remodels like this.
20k is a pretty big budget 😂

Please do more DIY videos 🙏

I don't know what I like more, the diy renovation or the owner.😂😂😂😂, congratulations 😊
Agreed, both lovely !

Finally getting back to the roots of what made this channel great in the first place!
"When you walk in, the first thing you see is the window and a great view of the pub" 🤣 Love this guy
love these small owner DIYs
Very relatable! 😎✌️
This is exactly what I asked for last week! I don't know if its pure coincidence if this was next in the pipeline, but this feels like a good example of what typical modern homeowners could achieve.

What a charming, humble person.
More budget DIY please. This one is lovely.
The green with the cork flooring is so so stunning!! Super tasteful reno and in love with how it's furnished
This is so crafty with such beautiful and unique elements. You can really see he's put his soul into this little place and it's come out a beauty.
all looks amazing! and to think it was all diy, the closet unit in the bedroom was my favorite part
Yeah - great advice from him too.
To not worry about it being built-in, but cover the opening with doors cut to size and use the rest above.
Those areas are overlooked, and are dusty or messy if you use it for longterm storage yourself 👍☺️
love the COLOR 🍐
Picking the same colour for the kitchen units and wardrobes was a nice touch.
One of the greatest episodes, so down to earth and approachable. Great apartment as well.
Perfect size and design
This is very inspiring, gives me hope that I could do the same on a small budget if I manage to find a nice little apartment one day. I love the smart use of old materials and the wardrobe with the oversized doors. Brilliant idea for extra storage!

I love this one! A class in sustainability and good simple design ❤
It’s an amazing apartment! Congratulations to the owner, he’s done a marvelous job!
Really great job, and design solutions. Love to see DIY projects, this one is amazing
Great work. Thanks for talking about the insulation too!
It is a crucial part of any renovation, whether big or small!
This one is really good.

Love the sofa. Love the whole apartment. Love this episode.
love those bedside tables.. such a nice vibe in this place and very impressive for $20k. I love that all those materials are getting a second life.
I'm not mad at that green kitchen...
One of the best episodes! Serene but fun. I love the green and bookshelves above the bedroom door!
So nice to see one of those 60’s Melbourne flats made over. Great job.
for a first time DIY, you did great! it just goes to show that you don't need to buy expensive materials to make your place look and feel good.
Ahhh, I remember reading this on The Design Files. It's a lovely place, very well done!
Been a while since I heard someone use cork flooring. Very interesting. This home is beautiful and functional as well. Great find, NTS! More DIY please! :)

this place looks dreamy
Simple and cool. I like it!
Beautiful man. Beautiful work with the reno. Well done ✔️
I love seeing a permanent office nook for those of us with desktop computers.
Great idra with the over sozed doors. I also love the dinning chairs and the cruved book shelf. The bathroom was surprisingly calming. Loved it

Lovely job! (I'd have to incorporate coat hanging space inside the front door tho). Fabulous sofa. Thank you for showing. G Ire
This fellow did an awesome job!!😍Looks fabulous
I'm envious of his flat, looks like it'd be great to live in it!
Loved this one! Great thoughtfulness put into everyday living but still room for personality and fun ❤
Just seen the start and i am already in love. Its so clean, seems very practical and just beautiful inspiring. 😍
Such a crazy wide angles. One side if the view completely different from the other
it's really beautiful! perfect execution for such a budget, i'd love to see more of those 😍
Respectfully, smash….
Very nice place. I love it!
Wish I had literally any DIY skills to be able to accomplish something like this.
Love this! neutral furniture/textiles, then marvellous colours in the art works!
Amazing job
And super fun to see ancient Soviet poster from 1920s on the wall
Beautiful home and space well done 🩵 Thanks for sharing
Impressive. Well done. Congratulations. More DIYs on NTS would be appreciated.
Çok dizayn edilmiş ellerine sağlık ❤❤
Congratulations mate, on successful project!!!
finally something reasonable in price and effort, love it
no heating is crazy though
Really cool to hear about what you did to insulate your apartment better! We all know Aussie homes aren't built with insultation but no one ever talks about what you can do for apartments
Schöne Wohnung. Die Zimmeraufteilung gefällt mir sehr gut.
Good work ❤🎉
Gotta say, the painting above the bed is pure nightmare fuel.
A very cool dude!!
look really nice
Love it!

Q: why didn't you switch the way the fridge door opens? We did that and it is so much easier to get to things.
Q2: would you have space in your kitchen to add a dishwasher if you change your mind?
Wondering if you'll look at doing a diy double glazing on your windows?
Nice color combination
Lovely apartment! Well done!
Love it ❤ wishing it had access to the bathroom from the kitchen though
awesome

lol your title screen make my computer like window updating :D
Finally a home in Never Too Small where clothes drying solution is actually filmed and seen in the video.
Would be good to get some more insight into how is lifestyle influenced his design decisions.
Did he say there’s no heating or cooling in the apt? This apt has a nice flow.
No cooling in Australia is very impressive
Is this actually 42sqm? That is the biggest 42sqm I’ve ever seen
What a fcking legend.
How do you clean cork floor???
Не ожидал увидеть в австралийской спальне советский плакат "Смерть мировому империализму". Очень освежает.
were you drinking when you painted the cupboard?
5:28 I am SO confused by the proportion in this moment! What is going on here???
NZ's Darrel Mitchell lite
Yo he is handsome
I DO NOT WHY ALL THE APARTMENTS AROUND THE WORLD THEY DO NOT USE THE BIDET IN THE BATHROOM, NO BODY CONSIDER THIS IS VERY NASTY, DIRTY I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THIS IS TIPICAL ITALIAN TO HAVE IT
It looks good but the green is hideous and u need a head board for your bed
Where are those curved sofas from!?
It’s just a normal apartment, it’s not even small
Not having a dishwasher is insane. It's faster, much more sanitary, consumes less water and electricity than hand washing, and is overall better for everyone, including the owner. That computer "desk" is also unusable and completely unergonomic.
I don't understand why this would be an apartment to feature.

20k for diy renovation and 100k in tattoos... I guess family is out of the picture and it's time for me to start renovating nursing homes.
que me pise la cabeza 🥵🥵🥵
it looked better before 🤣🤣
yea if rental chic is your thing...
