It's amazing how you can tell where did the rocks come from. I never thought about that before, I just saw random rocks everywhere. :D
For sure there’s many natural processes that can move rocks around from their original origins
Great video and great finds 👍🏼 love the sea urchin 😄
Thanks for watching yeah what a cracker of a Micraster
Some incredible finds there! Well done
Thanks for watching really happy with these finds !
Superb film making! Each video gets better. Hope we are going to see you up yorkshire and beyond soon
Thanks mate appreciate the comment, I think I may have gone slightly too abstract at the beginning 😂 but anyways. Thinking back I remember I did bump into you at Kettleness before you had your TH-cam channel I believe. Will be back at Yorkshire at some point
another good video keep them comeing
Cheers Ian you are in this video where is say I don’t know who that is down there but they are really keen 😂
nice finds,
I think this block with the pebbles could come from the Miocene, so a molasse stone.i come from switzerland and you can find deposits like this everywhere in our midland, mostly they contain shark teeth and bone fragments.
Oh cool Tom thanks for that info I didn’t realise you were from Switzerland
yes i am from switzerland but i have been coming to england and wales with my family for years to enjoy your island and to relieve you of some fossils...😁
😂 nice work !
Coastline is amazing. And all to yourself.😁
Yeah I know you would think after all these videos it would be crowded
Awesome! I love the little ⭐️
it a nice one thanks for watching jb !
Lovely finds ,and the whole beach to yourself ❤️
Cheers David yeah surprised I haven’t influxed the beach with Visitors
Good stuff Simon as always.
Thanks Tony hope you are doing well , found anything lately ?
@@Treasurehunter11001 Nothing too exciting from here but were in Dorset before Christmas so quite a few Ammonites. Had a day at Hunstanton last week but nothing from there. Doing South Wales in a couple of weeks. The fossiling is supposed to be quite good there so fingers crossed. Must try and arrange a meet up.
@@tonynicholls6311 South Wales, also that north Somerset area is quite good , yes have to catch up
Am I supposed to look for Hertfordshire pudding stone in Norfolk then 🤔 What a beautiful rock, no doubt on that porphyry either. Great finds!
😂 yeah I reckon , that’s the first piece I’ve found of that Hertfordshire, Norfolk Pudding stone
@Treasurehunter11001 I did 2 massive quarries in Hertfordshire and have not seen a piece 😆 Do you have Instagram or other means of sharing pictures? I might have beaten you with porphyry size in Poland, but that's still in a field where I found it. Not really a plane language friendly size 😉
That’s 100% pudding stone. I live in Hertfordshire, I have some, and there’s a massive one in St Michael’s village in St Albans. I’m sure you can find a photo if you check online 👍🏻
Thanks Rebecca was hoping it was pudding stone
Rewatched the video and I do remember the pudding stone and you telling me about it and I've got a small pudding stone with red peppering
yeah I think that was the first day I saw you down there , red peppering is cool
The rock thats on at 4m:24s is called Breccia i found a massive piece locally to me, it was roughly 3ft round
If you have a muddy rock, try rubbing it on the sand in the water it scrubs it clean easier than washing it by hand. Was it a Hildy? Very Nice Micraster echinoid 😀
Thanks for the advice Maggie yes it is a hildi I am trying to prep it right now but there’s literally no distinction between where the rock finishes and the fossil starts just completely sticky
I don't suppose your willing to share some of the beaches you visit in Norfolk? It's about a 2hr drive for us but it's on my list to visit again after a dissapointing trip a cpl of weeks back :)
East of Cromer , it can be disappointing took around a month to find all the things in the video
@@Treasurehunter11001 looks like i will need a few day trips to Norfolk this year. Amazing finds & love watching your videos
@@marieshields5327 yes for sure multiple days will give you a better chance and also rough seas that remove the sand , thanks for watching
Where are you at?
East of Cromer
