Amazing finds! I live in Norfolk and have often wondered what the different types of stone were. To be honest, I didnt have a clue until I watched this video. Really appreciate the effort and dedication that you put in!
My goodness! What a chunk! Sorry for not commenting sooner. Rest assured this debut performance has been passed around all my friends and family, courtesy of my partner. Thank you so much for including my finds. It made my day bumping into you, hopefully catch you again another time. 👍
It's the best feeling when an obsession is rewarded. I'm so happy for you to finally bag the tooth! What's the next quest? And that porphyry! It would look great polished!
The tooth Quest remains , I still have never found a complete one . This piece is rather nice though very happy with it . I have been told that the rock is not porphyry , what's your opinion on it?
@Treasurehunter11001 I initially thought it was jasper. All really depends if those crystals are feldspar to fit the definition of porphyry or just chalcedony/quartz inclusions, in which case that's jasper. Either way, I would have taken it back with me 😆 Perhaps you could do a short with better close ups of the rock?
Well spotted with the baby tooth. I recognise that stretch of coast by the way ;) I've only found 2 mammoth teeth in the 3 years I've been hunting and the last came from very close to where you picked that one up.
@@Treasurehunter11001 Both partial, good size chunks though. About the half the tooth. I also have a couple of smaller plate fragments. Love this beach, I've found a lot of stuff along there.
Your patience and dedication always brings the reward. Great find.
Thanks Ray yes this one sure took a bit of dedication to find

Must be pretty cold there! How did you learn to identify all the fossils? I wouldn't know if it's just a stone or not.
yeah its been on the chilly side , fossil identification has mainly developed from doing these videos 😀
