    The Chinese Chopstick Agate was my favorite - so unusual! The Turkish agate and the Laguna agate came in 2nd and 3rd. All of them were beautiful. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

    @3:15 - I see two people looking out of an opening in a cave - a very saveable "mistake" 🙂

    Wow, you have lots of good agates! Its endlessly fascinating to see what agates look like from different regions. Turkish ahd Bulgarian agates are my current focus. The island agates have lovely pastels. Love them alll! Thank you for sharing Kate!

    What a great treat you've given us, Kate! Thank you for sharing some of your impressive collection with us! My favorite one is probably the Turkish Stick Agate.
    Have you ever worked with Bahia agates? They're my favorite to tumble, because of the colors and patterns that emerge. If not, you should check them out!
    Thanks again for sharing!

    The banded one at the 12:11 mark with pink & gray bands is Awesome! I really like the gentle banding of the one at the 12:36 mark. It is truly lovely.. ~ Holy Cow! The Peachy Moctazuma at the 16:15 mark is Fabulous! If I had that for a pendant, I'd never take it off.. Too Cool.. ~

    Those Brazilian Rainbow Agates are Bahia Agates (not sure why Richardson’s calls them that). They tumble beautifully! Very tough and not prone to bruising or chipping.

  • @kellyhollingsworth6100
    @kellyhollingsworth6100 ปีที่แล้ว

    Fun thing to do on a cold winters day. I wonder what the difference is between a Brazilian rainbow agate and a Bahia agate is. The 1970's Malawi agates are named that because that mine was closed and most of them are considered a AAA graded agate. Thank you for sharing your rocks/stones with us. Have a awesome day.

    Hi Ms Katy… I am new to this and I could really use help identifying some stones. Idk if that’s something you could do ? It’s ok I you can’t n maybe u can point me in the right direction ? It’s just that I went geode collecting and I think I got a few other things. Fossils like a geode brachiopod n some brain shaped little nuggets. Idk maybe when u have some time I can send u some pics n u can tell me what I got here. Thank you very much n I hope to talk soon!!

      @KatyDidRocks  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. :) I would suggest that you join the Facebook group, "Look What I Found!" and post the pictures there. Theo Kellison is pretty good at fossils, and there are lots of folks there who can help.

    i have about 5 pounds of african malawi agate nodules. I just dont have money for a lap saw

    • @KatyDidRocks
      @KatyDidRocks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice! They are small enough. You probably could make do with a tile saw from Harbor Freight and a diamond blade - not ideal for long term, but it would work for now.
