little sidenote: i love how both ezra and jayden drop the "no-contractions"- rule when talking with Mackenzie Wolf, Jayden does however keep it when talking with Naomi
Can't wait to see how the DLC(s) follow suit on the endings. Also gotta do Mia ending sadly, but get to see both sides of Operation Dragonslayer at least.
Oddly enough, it also has precedent in the lore too. There’s at least one Smoke Jaguar who joined up with Wolf’s Dragoons in the previously published lore.
The problem with this path is it really didn’t make sense. It came out of nowhere. I really can’t see these clan warriors all agreeing to do this. One, maybe. All 4 seemed like fanfic
@@spireland5 first off yuichi is a bondsman .. he may not exactly care, he just wants to find his place he fits into Naomi as she says herself was pretty much screwed over by her former star commander and close to becoming solama and that aside from her also having a more critical view on things soooo yea it does make enough sense when two of the team don't exactly have to lose much and the other two just simply agreeing how horrible smoke jaguar is even Mia agreed to that but was simply too proud and loyal to abandon the clan and Liam? i dare say he already got frustrated not only how smoke jaguar is treating him because of his namesake but also how rather incompetent the clan was regarding its intelligence arm, he also didn't exactly show pride and loyalty to the clan and acted very independent ... afterall it was him who initiated contact to the wolf dragoons
Minor nitpick: according to the original novels (the Blood of Kerensky-trilogy) and the origianl BattleTech sourcebooks, Natasha Kerensky was the ONLY member of Wolf's Dragoons to return to Clan Wolf and only because she was bloodnamed. All others did not return, because thye were too old to be accepted as warriors by any of the Clans. Natasha was born in 2973! She was 30/31 when Wolf's Dragoons arrived in the Inner Sphere and 76/77 when the Clan Invasion began. Even the youngest trueborn who joined the Dragoons would have been in his 60s.
@@rustyshackleford1508 ignored, got wrong, decided to tweak a little to suit what they were trying to do here. i personally am never going to whine about a change in how the lore is presented in a new piece of media until i hear straight from the devlopers/writers mouths why they chose what they did. 👍
The thing is according to the lore Wolf Dragoons had a few bloodnamed warriors among their initial ranks (even from other clans though those were "outcasts". Though I think most of them died in their decades of service. But from the Wolves trueborns only Natasha returned. And most wolves thought she would simply fail her retrial. Which just goes to show that the Clans don't value battle experience from their warriors once they reach a certain age and have no success on their records
The main problem with this game is that they had you play the Smoke Jaguars...while not BEING Smoke Jaguars. The first red flag was the guy requesting a transfer to being a scientist...that's not how ANY Clan works. And it's even worse in SJ since they take the "trueborn" things to the extreme and view all non trueborns as trash. Most other Clans see value in Scientits and Mechanics and sometimes even the Merchants castes...but Smoke Jaguar is either warrior or you're a waste. Second was their reaction to the prisoners on the first planet. Again...Smoke Jaguars and how they regard freeborns. It was ridiculously out of character. You don't pitch playing the Clan that values only their eugenics program and not have them act in an appropriate manner.
Maybe they wanted to give them a bit of redeemability and/or make the characters somewhat approachable so to speak. but yeah, this sibko did seem quite mellow for what the Smoke Jaguars represent
That is something i did not like. SJ had no freeborns in frontline units. They stle what they needed, and they did not care for freeborn civis. Turtle Bay was just another lill cleanup
I prefer this ending over siding with Mia. The Smoke Jaguar Clan is ruthless and committed war crimes, especially when Commander Cordera Perez ordered the massacre at Turtle Bay. This situation makes you question your motives: Are you fighting to become a cold tyrant, or are you trying to liberate worlds from clan invasion? To me, this is canon.

Naomi as she says herself was pretty much screwed over by her former star commander and close to becoming solama and that aside from her also having a more critical view on things
soooo yea it does make enough sense when two of the team don't exactly have to lose much and the other two just simply agreeing how horrible smoke jaguar is

i did notice that as well either a whoopsy on their part or they decided to add a spin to it but i assume a whoops tbh
