    Why on earth would someone call this a "total nonsense" "service and expect a customer to decide what's appropriate. Roy demonstrated best practice and most definitely what was needed here.

    I'd probably do an fga test first and check air inlet. Gives you an idea of condition and if flue seals are ok before doing a strip down service.

    Hi Allen and Roy will you be doing a rig of old boilers at viva training ie baxi solo/105,turbo max etc to strip and service on there new rig there putting together? Great video 👍

  • @rodknee87

    I know the clamps and seals around the flue go on these. Can you try and find a leak with your analyer whilst in combustion chamber? Or would that not work as the burner would be right underneath it? Thanks

    Mine question is: If the minimum gas pressure is too low it could
    cause the boiler to lock out during operation?

    Great video thank you I'd love to do the course to become one .
    Question ......I've recently had issue with getting hot water to stay hot . It can often get luke warm or even ice cold .it's a baxi 80he similar to that you're working on (assuming 105 model ) central hearing is hot . All rads are free from air. And yes I know the heating is separate from the hot water as such. Hejve the exchanger/diverter .
    I'm trying to figure out what's going on . Often I may need to run 2 taos to activate hot water (flame ignition) downstairs hot water tap is best in the house (maybe as its closest but unsure ) the other day we just about run a bath but wasn't hot for our boys but later had it piping hot (upstairs ) I've had to run both sink and over hrad shower taps to get a shower (I turn sink tap off once warm/hot) .
    Thanks in advance
    I'm thinking heat exchanger and or diverter cartridge? Or a flow regulator ?
    Thanks

    The rear insulation panel, do you have to remove the primary hex, or can you get it in just by removing the burner, as i dont wanna try and get connections/pipes out of primary hex as its probably seized in lol

    One of the Worcester trainers I know always refers to servicing theirs boilers as being performance analysis checks as they don't always require strip downs.

    • @AllenHart999
      @AllenHart999  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Worcester can sometimes set on fire, Always worth checking the seal as a minimum and depending on the age I would advise full strip-down service, Thanks.

    • @necropig
      @necropig 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AllenHart999 I always analyse the seals, just mentioning what he told me, that'll only really count for first few services from new

    • @E14Art
      @E14Art 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Worcester themselves tell you not to take the case off.
      You check the fan pressure. If that's within the limits that's it.
      That's the actual MI's.

    • @AllenHart999
      @AllenHart999  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@E14Art You would always need to take the case off on all boilers, Some manufacturers will say when the burner itself needs stripping down, These sometimes change as some manufacturers have had issues with seals melting. Thanks.

    • @E14Art
      @E14Art 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AllenHart999 I said this to the Worcester instructor.
      He said don't take the case off.
      I do anyway but the original poster is correct. Worcester definitely tell you not to take case off unless you have to.

      Sometimes a partially blocked ventury at the fan can cause this when on high fire/hot water.

    Total nonsense you don’t need to strip it down on a service, unless the customer requests a full strip down, you will get all customers thinking this is a normal service
