I had this exact issue. Boiler worked to heat house, but turning hot water tap wouldn't turn boiler on. A plumber Came, saw and said new boiler for £2200. Next plumber came, saw and said £400 to replace diverter valve. I got another plumber, who came and saw and then wouldn't tell me what was wrong, but quoted me £300 to fix the problem. Another two plumbers told me something similar. They wouldn't tell me what the problem was, what they would fix, but apparently they are guaranteeing that it would be repaired. Then I found this video. Parts cost me £4, job took me a handful of minutes, and all I used was a screwdriver. Thank you for this, it's saved me from getting fleeced by a string of sly plumbers.
Brilliant video. I bought the diaphragm and followed your instructions. My diaphragm however was stuck to the rear housing so removed cleaned and replaced. Returned bought diaphragm and enjoyed a takeaway with my savings 🤣🤣👌🏻
Hi buddy I'm wondering if I have this issue very similar model 80he (bit older ) was u having cold water issues ? If so be worth me trying this . Only difference is is some taos here do activate flame but kitchen don't . Gmstay hot usually either even when flame is ignited thanks
Thanks Rob I’ve got same boiler, the diaphragm works hot water at tap, no hot water at either of two showers, I changed one shower, engineer said the diaphragm is ok , is it possible the diaphragm is a bit worn but able to work on kitchen taps and basin but not quite enough to trigger boiler on at the shower, the showers have both worked for may years, , I’m a plumber but not a gas engineer, I thought maybe debris in the hot water pipe causing drop in pressure, soft water area no prwith scaling
Hi i had this same problem with my baxi 105he and fixed it with this video so thanks a bunch. But now a few months later, the pin on the switch behind is doing the same. Can i simply do the same on that valve? Because in the diaphragm kit i got, it has a smaller rubber flange. so im guessing it could be for that valve behind??? Also when i manually push the switch, the boiler fires straight up with no issues.
Great video fair play.👏🏻👏🏻 I have a Baxi 105he and I've kept it going for 15 years now,I've just noticed that when I run the hot water the rads get Warm?Is this to do with the 3 way valve and if so what do I need to do, Cheers Barrie.
Im guessing your sorted by now? The part in question is in one of those packs on ebay. It's the brass by-pass (Basicly the biggest chunk of brass with a screw thread on it, in the spares pack) With a fault on By-pass, water will travel to radiators. OK, cheers
Hello, on the hydraulic diagram of my boiler the differential pressure valve carries three pipes. One pipe is connected on the delivery pipe of the heaters, the other two pipes are connected on the pump suction. Can you tell me why two pipes are connected to the pump suction? Where can I send him a photo? Thanks
Rob is there any voltage given for the duotec fan pwm. The voltage the pcb sends to the fan to tell the fan to turn? Vaillant give a voltage of approx 10 volts to 6v thus tels the fan to turn what is the baxi voltage is it similar.
I have the same boiler 80e. Same problem but I get hot water for about 20 seconds then it goes pretty much cold. Is this the same problem repair? And if so, could I have a link to the parts kit I need please. Thank you Stephen
IF THE PIN ON THE DIVERATOR STAYS UP..AFTER CHA NGING DIVERATOR FOR NEW..WHAT IS THE ISSUE...THE FRONT PIN GOES IN AND OUT OK WE HAVE HOT WATER AND HEATING TOGETHER BCOS OF THIS... WHAT WOULD BE THE ISSUE THANKS...WE HAVE A BAXI 80 ECO BOILER
And what when you have a diaphragm that's IS working ok and still no hot water? My 105e has that problem. Heating working 100% and as soon as you open a hot tap, little tap led lights up, diverter piston pushes the micro switch, flame goes out and no water heating.
@@colin5064 it goes in the back nut which unless leaking you don’t remove anyway so it’s in the kit for if it’s needed, hence why he didn’t demonstrate it!!
Hi Martin, a few people have asked what the small o ring is for in the diaphragm repair kit and I think at least one person has got it wrong. The back of the valve is where that little o ring lives once the back nut has been removed. Usually it doesn’t need replacing unless the back is leaking.
Watch this video in the link,at 12.10 then you will know th-cam.com/video/xMOV0wohopM/w-d-xo.html Baxi goomer fails to mention this o ring in the service kit
As said previously, Rob is a natural, informative with no messing about

a kit cost about 12 quid
"Sly Plumbers", you called them,do you want them work for free.
Great video. Rob is a natural at this - super engaging. Very interesting and just the right amount of info. Thanks im just about to do mine :D

This just saved me £90 on a boiler man who was going to replace the wrong part! Thank you - our hot water is back! Ripped diaphragm.
Quality Video, still loads of these about.
Keep um coming! Loving these videos
Great video. Just followed this to replace diaphragm in my main 30he, working a treat again now. Thanks a lot

Many thanks to you for uploading the video.I have managed to fix my boiler diaphragm leaking issue.👍👍👍
Glad it helped
excellent video BAXI. Thanks.
Top quality instructions-many thanks👍👍
Loving the videos. Very helpful thank you
`Nice one dude! Proper clean to the point! Brill. Now then... but what if the plunger/diaphragm IS WORKING fine... what next? HW Sensor?
What is the small o ring that comes with the diaphragm kit for. cheers
Great vid Dude!! Thankyou! 👌🏽👊🏽
Fantastic help 👍
I'm a kack handed as they come but ive fixed my hot water, thanks a million!

Brilliant videos lads, keep up good work
Another informative video
This is why I like videos like this. I don't have central heating not hot water :(
Sorry to hear that, DM us via our Baxi twitter account and someone will help.
great video, great boilers
Many thanks for a clear and to-the-point video.
Thanks worked a treat 👍
Great video! I have a Baxi 80e and the water goes hot and cold, is it the diaphram?
My hot water takes an age to heat up. Will changing the diaghram help with this?
Great video fair play.👏🏻👏🏻

This dia0hram I'm assuming reppaces the diverter cartridge? And head ? Mines an 80he so don't have the good colour dusohram
Thanks
I have the same boiler 80e. Same problem but I get hot water for about 20 seconds then it goes pretty much cold. Is this the same problem repair? And if so, could I have a link to the parts kit I need please.
Thank you

Tiptop, but what if the boiler recognises the flow if tap water but then turns the flame of but then heats the water when the tap is turned off?
IF THE PIN ON THE DIVERATOR STAYS UP..AFTER CHA NGING DIVERATOR FOR NEW..WHAT IS THE ISSUE...THE FRONT PIN GOES IN AND OUT OK
WE HAVE HOT WATER AND HEATING TOGETHER BCOS OF THIS...

this guy is amazing.
Great video✅👍

How to test BOILER SPARK Generator with multimeter?
Does anyone know what could be the cause of my diaphragm tearing once a year? I've replaced in 4 years in a row now and it's gone again...
The replacement kit comes with a tiny O ring. Any ideas where this fits?? Thanks
Over the spindle I believe
Is the 105e still a repairable boiler? Parts available etc? Or is it too old now.
Parts are still available. Will be for years.
mine keeps leaking out of the front
In the service kit there is a miniature rubber washer what's that for then. D
it should go in the front brass nut where the pin slides in and out,but this gooomer didn't show that
@@colin5064 it goes in the back nut which unless leaking you don’t remove anyway so it’s in the kit for if it’s needed, hence why he didn’t demonstrate it!!
And away you go 😆
still dont know what the tiny o ring is for
