      The black boxes and wraps are tefillin. The long cape is called a tallit gadol with tzitzits*(tied fringes from the torah). He is praying shacharit or shacharis.depending on hebrew dialect but same prayers. It's a compilation of verses from the torah, psalms, prophets leading to shema and then the admidah or the 18 blessings which was towards the end with all the bows. Orthodox jews read from a prayer book called a siddur
      This is the morning prayer. Hope this helped! Shalom alecheim

Also I know a different portion of the Torah is exposed at different times but say your family has a need for healing so you specifically pray for that or just what is revealed for the day?

    • @ivriyah8456
      @ivriyah8456 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Tefillin all have the same portions inside. The Torah itself isn’t a prayer book, and it’s only publicly read on Monday, Thursday, Shabbat (Saturday), and holidays. The Jewish prayer book is called a siddur. The daily prayers include requests for pretty much everything, and there are additional prayers to say for various things if you would like. (There’s even a prayer for before taking medication!)

Our Lord our God who Created all prescribed a calm and descent concentration oriented prayer which is free from undue motions and should be free from any such type seems magic is being rendering to remove devil from someone.

      We don't say God's name in Judaism except in prayers and Torah readings because of the third commandment not to say His name in vain.
      The translations of this verse don't catch the whole meaning of it. If we say God's name anywhere, it can be taken out of context or maybe I say it at a bar where maybe I'm committing a sin or could appear to be making a sin but not actually, you never know. So Jews don't say God's holy names except in prayer or reading the Torah.

    • @Bittzen
      @Bittzen ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The shema goes like this, “Shema, Israel: Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad.”
      This is done for educational purposes, which is why I used God's holy names. In daily speech, please replace the words in the shema with these words instead, “Shema, Israel: HaShem Elokeinu, HaShem Echad.”
      HaShem means The Name. We switch out the h with a k in elokeinu because we don't want to pronounce a holy name, so we spell it differently to avoid possibly sinning by saying His name in vain.

      If you want to learn more, I encourage you to go on TH-cam and search for Rabbi Tovia Singer's videos and for Jews for Judaism, which is Rabbi Michael Skobac's channel.
      They help Jews that became Christian come back to Judaism, but they also help lead Christians out of the idolatry of worshipping a man as God.
      I was once a Christian like you, but I have since started my conversion to Orthodox Judaism. Feel free to ask any questions. Remember you don't need to convert to Judaism, as God gave the nonjews 7 laws to follow, called the Noahide Laws. God gave these to the descendants of Noah, of whom we are all descendants from. Then later, God made His covenant with the Jews through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, which is why Jews have 613 laws to follow rather than 7.
      Noahides are considered high priests and righteous people, according to Judaism, so it is not any lesser than being a Jew. Either way, being a Righteous Noahide or a Jew, you should seek to learn about God and His word from Orthodox Jewish synagogues and Rabbi's and not from nonjews, as God tells us in the words of the prophets.
      Zechariah 8, for example, tells us that when the messiah comes, every person will come to the Jew and pull on a Jew's robe and ask, “Let me walk with you because I know God is with the Jews.”
