its like the cheaters don't understand that buying something from a hacker gives FULL ACCESS to your computer through back door software. Any time that Hacker is broke, or curious, or Bored, they can look into all your data and do whatever they want with remote access. It's so dumb.

It's not just the being banned part that is meant to deter cheaters. Knowing you will get caught eventually no matter what you do to evade, just makes sure you can't ever peacefully play reputable servers. Getting caught and then having to see all of your effort be deleted in front of your nose, seeing your friends(/clanmates) be punished for playing with you (ensuring they don't really want to play with you again) and being made fun of by everyone not in your direct friend group. Of course they can buy a new account, but their Rust experience will never be the same after your first ban.

They stay locked up for 24 hours a day, and get 1 hour a day for yard time, and all the stuff that comes along with being in prison, plus all sorts of torture! Spend half of the time you would be banned playing the prison and following the rules, you'll get unbanned early🤣

You can get banned from other things though, I was watching a video with a cheater interview and he said most cheaters don't have valorant installed because valorant will detect cheats from most games because their anti cheat actually works.

I so feel that stuff, did some arma 3 admin stuff 'a while' ago and at some point it was basically just futile to listen to cheaters trying to explain themself.
Its always a brother ,a friend, the account got hacked or the cat of the great grand cousin 3 times removed jumped on the keyboard and that activated their menu that they didn't even know was installed..
Had cases where i spend a few minutes pulling everything i could out of the logs, every last bit of proof and then we confronted the cheater without telling them that we knew what he did without a doubt.
There were a few times were they actually even convinced me if i wouldn't have had the evidence i would have thought i got the wrong person.
They might not have any skill at the game but that's maybe because they spent all the time training their lying and playing dumb skill.
Once you tell them that you have it all in the logs they play the devastated victim and wanna see those logs, not because they want to clarify or defend themself they want to know what gave it away to send it to the person who wrote their shit.
I had gut wrenching 180 turns from "i swear on xyz life i didn't cheat this must be a mistake" to "its not my fault that the games design allows me to cheat !" once they saw it in the logs clear as day, so we stopped sharing logs to those theatrical pieces of garbage.
As a Cyber Security Admin I absolutely love watching this content, because it's a fun way to see someone with investigation skills piecing things together, and you get some satisfaction watching stinkies getting owned.

Not saying this guy should be unbanned or anything, however the recoil guy who had the recoil software on his PC, I can attest that just having the software on your computer can trigger an EAC Ban. When you start the EAC wrappered game, it does a check for common file spaces against any file hashes that may match a known cheater software. If its detected the software it is typical for a game ban to be issued. This is in part because especially for DMA cheating software it is hard in some cases to detect modified memory or injected processes. This is because EAC while it has a Kernal level driver, it does NOT start before the OS and only starts when launching an EAC protected game. Therefore injections and memory tampering can be done prior to the game being launched.
In a TLDR, essentially EAC can and will detect well known file hashes and run it against their DB for common file spaces, and can and will ban the potential cheater. Even if the software is not running at the time of playing the game.
Tell them you're banning them because they didn't brush their teeth this morning.

I have just started playing Rust.. on a 3X server.. I have not killed a single person as for me.. I simply don't see the point in killing and robbing other people!! With that said.. if you put just a smidgen of work into finding stuff you can have a sweet little house and a collection of stuff in a single night!! So.. why people cheat.. it is beyond me hey!! I know the PVP in this game is awful and every server being wiped weekly, fortnightly or monthly is just awful but again.. why someone would feel the need to cheat in this game is just beyond me when servers are set at 2x, 3x or even up to 10x!! With that said.. I have never seen such a brutal PVP game either.. in some servers people just kill you on sight to rob you of anything you may have.. it begs the question how do they expect anyone new to learn how to play this game and survive if all they do is kill anything that moves the instant they see the movement?? In Ark (I have like 5,000 hours in that game almost) people would cheat all the time and the stuff they stole would be put up for sale on for real money in 'grey' or 'black' market stores!! So in Ark.. there was a financial necessity for some to cheat and ensure they win so they can sell the goods and items they have stolen for real money!! One seller admitted that through selling items in the Ark 'grey' and 'black' markets he earned just over $250,000 USD and it helped him set himself up in life!! I knew a boy who played Ark and had 35,000 hours in the game before he left given they are killing Ark: 1.0 at the end of August and everyone on the official servers is being dev-wiped with the expectation to pay for the same game and content twice with a UE5 Upgrade!! With all of that said the stores for Rust sell skins that can't be stolen in the game.. so again.. why bother cheating in this game?? Any gains made from cheating are by the very nature of this game.. short lived given the PVP propensity to kill and rob each other for the smallest of things but none of that is sold for RMT (that I know of) and this virtually renders cheating in Rust totally pointless I think!! Still totally unimpressed we can not pick our gender or character.. what a silly thing to leave out of what is otherwise a wonderful game!!
The whole "OH I WAS PLAYING MINECRAFT AND DON'T KNOW MAN... SUDDENLY GOT BANNED AND THAT TRANSFERED TO RUST" It's dumbass protocol, because unfortunately there was some naive admins who believed that in the past, so they use it as a *Maybe* today.

Yknow I've got a game ban in rust, along with my entire clan on a rustafied server. I knew holmzy pretty well and had reached out to him personally on many occasions to ban clans on official servers. After my ban I reached out to him directly through his face punch email along with requesting an unban via EAC, I've never gotten clarity on why I was banned. This was 3 years ago, I have a multiple thousand dollar inventory and thousands of hours that all mean nothing, most likely due to someone cheating within a group of 20+ people on my first wipe with them. It is a tragedy.
If the server has rules against any game ban why do they just not prevent those players from joining to begin with with like serverarmour? Seems like a lot of extra work
in a Way I actually believe the crosshair guy. I once got banned from League of legends cause I logged in on my nephew's computer and he had some keylogger virus, some dude from Europe logged in from my account and bought a bunch of skins with stolen cards and sent them to another account including some of my friends who also got banned for the skins. it was a shitshow. it was back then when you could gift skins very easily. that account got banned for like 1000 years.

No joke mid raid in tarkov I got kicked for using crosshair v2, a free steam crosshair app. Never been kicked using crosshair x from any game tho(didn’t get banned had to close crosshair app to get back into raid)
With all these videos and people admitting to buying accounts the idea of them getting hacked doesn’t seem all that too far fetched. Also if there’s a site where you can buy these accounts then obviously someone somewhere is getting hacked. I just don’t see the point in using hacks or buying accounts just to piss it all away after having played countless hours.

I had my steam account hijacked before and i lost my csgo skins. Contacted support and it took a while but i recovered my account and changed every password i had. But i never got a vac ban for it just lost out on a cool knife and a few guns
