I must say... Huge cudos to you for shouting out the content creators. You could've just created a list, but opted to show more to us by sharing their content! Thank you for your awesome videos, as always :)
Best wipe I've ever had in 8khours. That "way off to the side of the map not by any known monuments while farming motif" that's what I'm talking about. I literally had one of my most successful wipes EVER, by building on the far edge of a map on a little snow island, with the old school caves, where I built a base inside of the rocks. No 1 could see from the air, and I just had a clan running helicopters out to my base, trading everything I wanted. Scrap, guns, blueprints, everything. And all I had to do was go out farmin. Best wipe EVER.
@@GrandpaRust were you on a main server ? Cause sometimes i wanna be chill on a island but then there is no action and everything is so far away so i stop playing lol

Thank you for making something not only education and inspiring, for also making something that has highlighted and praised your peers.
as someone who hasnt played or watched rust in years its cool to see how much has been added. also love to see all the shoutouts like trausi shackyadhd posty and bchillz
If you want to skip prim lock and get yourself a guns i recommend bulding beetwen ranch and any monument with recycler. You just farm the road recycle it, buy a horse make ferteliser and sell it at Bandit camp. I recommend making a shop to transfer your loot from your base to Bandit camp. With 3 hourses and one night of good sleep you wake up with 6 LR in your base. If get more hourses you get even more scrap
Thanks for this guide. I've started playing Rust a lot more recently and have gone from farming mats for my partner's base to building and running tunnels and more accessible monuments by myself. I understand the basics, but just as I'm ready to start having some fun, it's time to wipe again. I'm using this to get me motivated, organised, and prepared for action!
Quarries are also a good place to start out at. Hitting a monument that gets you diesel and then going to Stone Quarry is always very lucrative. Plop that diesel in, farm wood while it works, then you essentially have a free stone starter base, with some metal ores as well. The server I main has water treatment and the stone quarry right next to each other, so it's very easy to go water treatment > stone > base. People sleep on those quarries on wipe day, man.

one of my favorite things to do at the beginning of the wipe is to run monuments to get all cards and gamble for a mini, about a 60% success rate so far over 10wipes. Can usually get to oil rig in about 20-40min as a solo. Highly recommend buying an m9 pistol as well if you dont find a gun in boxes. Def need to take the grenades for heavies into consideration tho, would save a ton of meds when doing it this way. As always thanks for the amazing content Hjune
Feel like u left out water treatment. No radiation and only need a blue card with lots of crates. Plus the parkour even more crates. But overall this is definitely the best guide for rust on youtube. ❤️
Great video! One progression method I enjoy that wasn’t mentioned is trap base building. I know a lot of players find it rather scummy, but building is my favorite part of rust and trap bases are a fun, relaxing way to farm players especially when joining later into a wipe.
i have about 70 hours on the game so far, but i've only really played with friends, maybe 5 hours total on solo. and a lot of that time was spent getting basic materials, but then getting hunted down and killed before i could get a base down. so once i eventually DO manage to get settled, these tips will be very helpful

Everybody overlooks water treat plant, it has a free 2mil crates and 3 boxes, plus either a box and mil or 2 boxes. Then blue room to get red you can trade to players who frequently run rig. It has like 6 diesel spawns. I always get at least 2 diesel every time I go. It’s the monument I build next to every time. You can combine water treatment with trading red card and using the diesel with a friend or yourself on excavator and call in the drop for it right before you leave or when you get there so you either get it and are gone or are there to defend it and your resources
Farming ocean used to be one of my favorite methods for progression. I would drive the boat and hit barrels while my duo would farm the shipwrecks. But I hate this method now with the addition of sharks. They just take too long to kill and are so dangerous I just don't feel like it's worth it anymore.
