    Nice fishing lads.. I fished doon there 20 years ago for the sea trout, the fishing was unreal..with lots of big fish about, then sadly the fishing association let people buy a season permit for a cheep price then the numptys stared hammering it and filling plastic bags up with sea trout, after that the nearby river that was an amazing sea trout river even through the day became rubbish.. after that I stopped giving them my money, I was a member for over 15 years and would love to see the river getting back to the way it once was .. so hopefully the sea trout and salmon return and then maybe so will I...thanks for the video .. gives me hope..tight lines..

      The Clyde/Lomond system, in my opinion, is still one of the best Sea Trout systems in the country. The majority of the west coast has seen tough times on the Sea Trout front, perhaps excluding the Outer Hebrides, but the Clyde has held its own. The Salmon situation, however isn't so good.

      NEVER buy a permit from the LLAIA to fish the clyde and gareloch . LLAIA only holds the rights to the NETTING on this stretch .once they got the netting rights they added the estuary to their area covered by the permits and flat out lied to customers. they have attempted to prosecute me multiple times , wasting police time and removing my fishing equipment only to have to give it all back to me as the cases were all dropped due to the fact there is no right for them to charge me or anyone else , unless you have a dead salmon or sea trout as the killing or taking of a migratory fish is illegal without crown permission or caught using nets then fishing on this stretch is free 100percent . fishing this stretch for bass, mackerel, mullet , cod, flatties or any other species is 100percent legal as is releasing any hooked seatrout . plenty of bass, mackerel, mullet and coalfish as legitimate spinning tackle/fly targets and my lawyer luckily is a sea angler and knows his stuff . trust me , they can try all they want but i just tell the little grumpy tomato faced bailiff to do one . they dont even bother me anymore , they see my car and just walk on by to pick on someone who does not know the law

      @@angling360 ardmore, cardross , its all the same to me , lived there all my life so its very familiar . nothing wrong with naming spots , no mystery, its always been widely known to have decent seatrout . i have fished there for over 20 years and the only thing that bothers me is the bailiffs, not the anglers . try as they might , they have never managed to prosecute me as they only have the netting rights to the estuary , NOT the sporting rights which belong to the crown no matter what they tell you . thus , anyone can fish here , without a permit ,for saltwater fish providing that they put all salmon and trout back . fishing for and taking mackerel, bass and mullet is perfectly legal and if one hooks a seatrout then as long as it is C/R it is lawful . i repeat , the LLAIA does not hold the rights to the rod and line fishing on this water only the NETTING rights. since gaining netting rights they took it apon themselves to add the stretch covered by the netting rights to their permit system to make money . they also illegaly exploited the two spawning burns in cardross by electrofishing after the season closes and taking fish , eggs and milt and releasing them in the lomond system with just a tiny token fraction of fry being released back into the burns . all captured fish were released into the river leven instead of back into the cardross burns. i have fought the LLAIA for years , i take pleasure in spreading my findings and the more anglers who wake up to their racket the better . cardross has the best free seatrout fishing in the UK , my mission is to make sure everyone knows it

    Some cracking fish there boys. Shows how rivers can be saved if theyre cleaned up. Now we beed t get rid of these bastart fish farms in the North and get all our seatrout cachements back to there they should be.

    this looked like excellent fishing, boys, but I was very dismayed at how long these fish were kept out of the water for display purposes (up to a minute) had to stop watching. Unlikely these fish will survive? fair enough if the fish is to be kept.

    • @angling360
      @angling360  ปีที่แล้ว

      Fishing was excellent, and all fish were recovered after catching in the net, before setting the camera for display purposes, then released. I guess from time to time fish don't survive after being caught, as with any species we catch, we do our best to care for them as best we can.

      @@angling360 the danish done some excellent studies on fish mortality as a cause of being out of the water, the general agreement was 10 seconds and after that mortality increases in the trout by 50%, if you check out the justfishingdk channel theyve an interesting video on it
