While I was in high school my sister’s boyfriend came to town he said he swore something had been following him his whole life. My bedroom was used as a guest room whenever people visited so he stayed in my room. After his visit he went back home and I was able to use my room again. In the middle of the night I would wake up to hearing the sliding closet door slam open or slam closed. It happened several times but I never really thought anything of it since I was always half asleep when it’d wake me up. A few times in the middle of the night I would wake up to hearing scratching noises under my bed! I thought maybe it was my sister’s cat so one of the times it happened I checked under my bed to see if the cat was there. I saw nothing… I looked up what all this had meant and apparently scratching noises under the bed indicate demon? This was around the time I was questioning my faith as well. Apparently I was also sleep walking. I woke up by the fridge once and one day my mom noticed in the cabinet there was a full plate of food in there. I’m sure it was me while I was sleep walking. When I tried telling my mom everything she didn’t believe me of course. I tried telling my dad when I woke up with a scratch on my forehead (it really stung/burned) and he said I probably did that with my hair straightener….. I’m pretty sure I’d know if I burned myself. My highly religious sister came to visit and I had told her the problems I was having and she believed me. She prayed over the house and it happened one more time and that was it. No more door slams, no more scratching noises, no more sleep walking, and no more unexplained scratches on my body.
Have you ever noticed how many of these stories involve sleep? "I was in bed about to fall asleep", or "I woke up in the middle of the night", or "I was sleepwalking", or "I was dozing off when...". You know about dreams right? Your brains ability to conjure images while you are asleep. Has it genuinely never occurred to you that what you were experiencing was a sleep disorder caused by your own beliefs, and that your sister telling you she'd prayed on it didn't actually solve a problem, it just convinced you that the problem was over...because you're really suggestable?

My favorite spooky story is actually one my dad tells. He was painting the exterior of an old church. Middle of the day, he sets a ladder to the side of the church so he can go up and paint when he feels it in his spirit to not go up the ladder. He brushes it off and climbs up. He says when he got up to the top, he felt something pushing him back, and he felt paralyzed. He felt like something was trying to push him off the ladder but he didn’t see anything. So he hears someone call up to him from the bottom of the ladder. He looks down and it’s an old man. The old man asks what’s going on, to which my dad replies he can’t get down and he is stuck, he’s about to fall off. This kind old man talks my dad down the ladder, reassuring him he’ll be ok. When my dad gets to the bottom of the ladder, he turns to thank the old man and the old man is GONE.

The weirdest thing that's happened to me was working overnights at a gas station and hearing running footsteps when the store was completely empty but I always told myself it was equipment or something. It honestly probably was but it never scared me too badly. Edit: it was a small store so I *knew* it was empty but yeah it could've been someone outside or machinery. It sounded the same every time so Im leaning more on machinery.
I had a spooky experience where I saw an translucent dude just standing there across from my bed. A pastor maybe, dressed is a long white robe, a sash going across him and holding a book with both hands. Just staring at me. I first saw him by seeing his feet and I remember slowly looking up his legs, to his torso to his face. Just staring at me. And by the time I saw his face I was so spooked, I covered my head and never looked back. The fact that it was just "meh" experience, I truly believe it happened.
Well I know I didn't call in to tell my scariest story. I live in Latvia 😅 but my mom had this sad but interesting story. I probably have to start with the fact that she broke up with my father when I was 2 years old, it was not a good relationship. After years she fell in love with one man and he fell in love with her too. One valentine's day they drove out for dinner at a restaurant besides pond/lake. The pond/lake wasn't the Restaurants property it was a natures made pond and overgrown with weeds over the road. Well that night he drank too much and decided to go swimming in ths pond. My mom was telling him not to go, but he insisted so my mom started to nervously try to convince him not to go if I remember correctly she was balling her eyes out just to discourage him from swimming and pulling him away because he was wasted and the pond didn't look like a swimmable pond. He didn't listen he was almost blacked out. Mom ran from one side of the pond to the other begging him to finally come out. I guess she had a very bad feeling, because at the end he drowned. It was very dark and he just in a blink of an eye went under water with his clothes phone etc. Of course she called police, ambulance and every number she could call for help.. Long story short they never found him. He was sucked under the sand... Two days later the phone with whom he drowned called my mom 😳 of course she picked it up, but there was a complete silence.... Still to this day we don't know why he went so nuts and wanted to swim with clothes and was very agressive with his choice. On the daily basis he was the most humble, calm, loving man
I never seen an apparition or whatever. I do remember when I was young, after my grandfather died. I was sleeping by myself, in my mom's room (I was like 8 idk) but I do remember this. It is true, it isn't in my head. I had the rolling mirrors, that were also doors to your closet. One night nobody was home except my grandma in another room. The mirrors were shaking, kind of violently that I ran to my grandmother. It was pretty scary. I also do remember the bathroom lights turning off and on. Though I've never actually SEEN anything. My explanations for the mirror doors, is there was probably a rat. We did have a couple rats around. The lights in the bathroom. Bad fuse. That's just the most logical way for me to think. I don't just assume it was a "ghost"
I used to not believe in the paranormal until things started happening that were backed up by other people without me even telling a soul about them lol. And then I started researching my family only to find out that my mom’s side of the family through her dad’s side has a history of encountering the paranormal. The first thing I told myself was that maybe my family has an inherited mental thing that makes us think we are seeing, hearing and feeling things but then other people backing me up with the same experiences just really changed the way I view everything. They couldn’t have known what I experienced because I never told anyone.
There's a lot of common things here... Coming back from a concert, super "sleepy". Staying up and then you "blink" and lose time. I'm a drinker, and I'd use those as excuses if I wasn't aware its dumb af to use as one.
I so wish I found this podcast and called in to tell you my story!! going back to your statement about how Ouija boards don't move on their own.... my mom and I had an experience when we were experimenting with one (she was just indulging my childhood horror fantasies lol) and as we were talking to the "spirits", the pointer started moving, both me and my mom freaked out and stood up and the pointer continued to move to the end of the board. one of the little stand pegs of the pointer fell off the board and it was wobbling like it was trying to get back up. it probably moved a total of 2 inches after we stopped touching it. to this day we will not bring a Ouija board into the house again lol. we threw it out the following day and luckily nothing worse came of that! My mom and i also had a lot other experiences in that house and we think it was the prev. owner who passed. Some things could be explained away but others have no answers 💁
The story of the woman slipping time 6 hours into the future I thought was really fascinating. I went down a rabbit hole looking for similar stories on reddit and it’s super weird hearing people say similar things.
The first story… demons disguise themselves as children and it’s common for them to lack regular features because a demon has never had a physical body.
14:25 Rhett I’m familiar with this concept it’s basically saying that time isn’t linear but my cyclical and now and the past can bleed into each other and cause these paranormal experiences and that also would explain why it’s usually old places that are known to be haunted because some timeline now bleed through to the past and the people in the past seen things or people from now and now when someone experiences paranormal experiences in somewhere haunted it’s just the timelines blending together very interesting concept I tried looking into
1:01:14 the "killer" clown or "creepy" clown that they're referring to ended up being a bunch of different people and they were trying to promote they're indie film about clowns 🤡
Aww I love the grandma story. I have strong suspicions that my mom has had my back over the years but a part of me feels dumb for believing that. I think she was around and possibly my cat too. Not sure if she still is, I don't put myself in danger as much anymore either ahaha
speaking of echoes of time... I went to a historic site in the same month as an event that occurred (in 1838) I felt someone rush past me on the stairs, but there was no one there, the feeling actually made me jump and, embarrassing enough, let out a small scream. I later learned of the 1838 event where prisoners had run up those same steps I was currently on and made an escape attempt from the site I was visiting. It was a surreal feeling to be back in time and feel the rush and panic of what those people must have felt running for their lives ( and I'm reluctant to believe too much in ghosts, but that made me a little less skeptical)
Me & my now fiancé lost 2 hours once while going on a drive out the valley our usual valley loop is somewhere around 45 minutes - we were out there and suddenly we’re looking at the clock on the way back into town and three hours had past and we were insanely confused. We had to park and talk about it and we still have no conclusion to what happened
The woman that lost time needs to get medical help. Time loss is super common and its most commonly reported by people a chunk of time before they have a stroke.
"We went out there to kind of scare ourselves, there was a kind of urban legend, ya know... Bars on the windows. Stuff like that." That's not a paranormal experience, it's a placebo.
I wouldn’t say horribleeee.. anything they do I truly believe they put their heart into it. I can clearly see it with everything🧐 it makes it more enjoyable vs a half ass piece of work, ya know?

I fully understand from a practical point of view that Jenna can't be giving him a daily headache, but the entitled attitude annoyed me 😅.
Hey Rhett, and Link. I listen to a lot of true crime and there's a video that talks about why ghosts are legally real and they used a ghost in court case. I can't remember many more details than that as I have too many stories in my head to keep them straight but definitely look it up. I think it might have been on Legal Eagle's YT channel
Rhett, the first story raised your HACKLES 🤣 a witch's laugh is a CACKLE, and a COCKLE is a type of shellfish Edit: I'm a skeptical believer, meaning that I will try to explain everything rationally, BUT some things happened to me that CANNOT be rationalized, and I believe those to be paranormal). I have seen 2 full bodied apparitions in my life (meaning they looked like real people standing in front of me at the time), and in both cases I froze but it all was over so fast I didn't have time for any further reaction. One of these people I had known when he was alive, but he'd passed away nearly a year before I last saw him. The other was a little girl in old fashioned clothes, and she looked fully present EXCEPT she was in greyscale colors. That one happened in my best friend's hallway in her trailer home, and when I told them about it, her mom yelled "I TOLD you it felt like a little girl was in here! Haven't I been saying that for years??" She had been 😆
Dangit, I wish I'd known there was a call for ghost stories! I have so many! I grew up in a haunted house in Northern California til I was 14, lived in a haunted a$$ apartment at 19 for about a year, and my last couple homes including where I live now with my bf is over 100 years and and my bf, his ex roommates, and I have all experienced some super creepy stuff here. My least favorite though was the Northern California house, where I'd; a.) hear people whispering outside my window all night, b.) watched my new music box flip open and start playing by itself, and c.) saw a sort of hooded looking shadowy figure glide by the trailer window where my cousin and I were just minding our business and trying to play Sonic

The show Link's talking about is Wellington Paranormal if anyone's curious. It's on hbo max.
So now we've got these memoirs to look forward to hahahaha:
Rhett: Liquids, Throats, and Gravity
Link: Look Away Nanny
The weirdest thing that's happened to me was working overnights at a gas station and hearing running footsteps when the store was completely empty but I always told myself it was equipment or something. It honestly probably was but it never scared me too badly.
Edit: it was a small store so I *knew* it was empty but yeah it could've been someone outside or machinery. It sounded the same every time so Im leaning more on machinery.
Good morning guys , love you always and very much
I had a spooky experience where I saw an translucent dude just standing there across from my bed.
I've been looking forward to this all year 👏
These stories are beyond silly lol. Props for being nice about these submissions.
On the daily basis he was the most humble, calm, loving man
This is a really interesting story
I vote yall join Ryan and Shane on a ghost files adventure
I am either still Halloween drunk or very hungover but either way this is the only cure.
I’m definitely toasty right now and this definitely is it right now 🤣😭
End of drunk/starting to feel hungover.
...I'm ready.

these scary stories are liyerally so good I want to watch movies like these
I'm here for the Link and Jewel friendship hike videos, haha.
Love the throwback Nartu Foti reference from link. That’s a deep cut.
THATS WHAT MY REACTION WAS
I used to not believe in the paranormal until things started happening that were backed up by other people without me even telling a soul about them lol.
"Don't look away, granny!" 😂😂😂
They should make that show. Ghost Grannies. The pilot can draw people in with the whacking off. And we stay for the wholesome granny-ghost stuffs
Ahhh get better soon Rhett!!
14:25 Rhett I’m familiar with this concept it’s basically saying that time isn’t linear but my cyclical and now and the past can bleed into each other and cause these paranormal experiences and that also would explain why it’s usually old places that are known to be haunted because some timeline now bleed through to the past and the people in the past seen things or people from now and now when someone experiences paranormal experiences in somewhere haunted it’s just the timelines blending together very interesting concept I tried looking into
It’s very deep and philosophical but it does make some logical sense more I look into it and how time works.
Oh man, I can’t believe I missed the opportunity to submit to this 😭
I had a paranormal experience at the Studebaker mansion in South Bend Indiana....and a few more elsewhere throughout my life.
the lady who lost 6 hours definitely got abducted by aliens
1:01:14 the "killer" clown or "creepy" clown that they're referring to ended up being a bunch of different people and they were trying to promote they're indie film about clowns 🤡
Settlling in for some good ear Biscuits!
you know it!
23:20 Classic throwback going unnoticed....
Aww I love the grandma story. I have strong suspicions that my mom has had my back over the years but a part of me feels dumb for believing that. I think she was around and possibly my cat too. Not sure if she still is, I don't put myself in danger as much anymore either ahaha
Tornado guy was from the Midwest 😂
speaking of echoes of time...
"I believe that you believe." -Shane Madej (paraphrasing)
Me & my now fiancé lost 2 hours once while going on a drive out the valley our usual valley loop is somewhere around 45 minutes - we were out there and suddenly we’re looking at the clock on the way back into town and three hours had past and we were insanely confused. We had to park and talk about it and we still have no conclusion to what happened
The woman that lost time needs to get medical help. Time loss is super common and its most commonly reported by people a chunk of time before they have a stroke.
HACKLES lmao god!
"We went out there to kind of scare ourselves, there was a kind of urban legend, ya know... Bars on the windows. Stuff like that." That's not a paranormal experience, it's a placebo.
56:45
My theory is it's sort of detailing a certain type of Eyes Wide Shut type of party.
Will yall do anything like "Hazel" this year
I wouldn’t say horribleeee.. anything they do I truly believe they put their heart into it. I can clearly see it with everything🧐 it makes it more enjoyable vs a half ass piece of work, ya know?
@@Dogdickdale that's your opinion, some people really enjoyed it and liked seeing them put passion into a project
Has Link ever given out his full smoothie recipe??? I’d love to know
Several times, that's why they talk about it so much. It's a running joke.
Somehow I was a little peeved at how Link reacted to the fact that Jenna HAS been wearing other, non-offensive perfumes. "I thought I said no perfume." And Rhett's "Full stop." Ugh. I fully understand from a practical point of view that Jenna can't be giving him a daily headache, but the entitled attitude annoyed me 😅.
Links nervous laugh at 24:46 me to link, me too lol
The show you are imagining is basically Being Human which was an awesome show.
Scientific explanation: gasleaks, home intruders, hallucinations.
👻
Scranton PA let's gooooooo. And they did film some parts in Scranton
5:38 minecraft zombie?
"I don't think the devil is wasting time with ouija boards" lmao
I can’t wait for Rhett and Link to retire and dedicate their lives to cryptozoology and hunting ACTUAL mythical beasts
Excuse you they’ll never retire 😡😡😡😡😡
Damn, I should’ve shared my experience from when I was with my friends in California, in the San Bernardino Mountains 🏔
Wow...6 hours of lost time, that's pretty substantial. Not sure what to make of that story but it's spooky for sure
Hey Rhett, and Link. I listen to a lot of true crime and there's a video that talks about why ghosts are legally real and they used a ghost in court case. I can't remember many more details than that as I have too many stories in my head to keep them straight but definitely look it up. I think it might have been on Legal Eagle's YT channel
y'all should have Shane and Ryan come back and have them try to communicate with Nar-2-Fotee
53:19 It has to be a Rhett The Randler!
when they mentioned a 6.5-7ft dog man my first thought was ‘oh that must’ve been rhett’
Part 2?!
48:25 Someone is dressing up as a dog??? The simplest solution is they were tired and they saw a DEER.
Rhett should assume the identity of Crow Man lol
Rhett, the first story raised your HACKLES 🤣 a witch's laugh is a CACKLE, and a COCKLE is a type of shellfish
Edit: I'm a skeptical believer, meaning that I will try to explain everything rationally, BUT some things happened to me that CANNOT be rationalized, and I believe those to be paranormal). Haven't I been saying that for years??" She had been 😆
As the Mcelroy's say: a GHO, a Genuine Hasbro Ouija 😂
BRO IM THE FIRST CALL!!
It's hackle Rhett, not cackles!!
