When you mentioned why she's called "Echo" in this show I felt my eyes roll back into my head so hard it actually hurt a little. "You're an Echo of your ancestors." Someone was paid to write that...
What they say about her power in the comics is so frustrating. That's the point of a low powered street hero - they have something that pushes them just over the edge of human ability and they turn it into something special. Even Daredevil is basically just that.

Seems they were constrained to change Echo's powers since they made Taskmaster a woman. Echo having the same powers would just be redundant. I wonder if the director came up with the "Echo's comic powers are lame" explanation to avoid reminding people of the unnecessary Taskmaster gender swap.
I have a theory on the powers. I think that the 'the powers were lame' thing was an excuse to cover the real reason - the actress cannot pull off what is needed to make them work. You'd need tons of stunt doubles to make her actually fluently mirror kung fu moves, so it's easier to just make her hands do CGI glowy crap.

The Kingpin is now become The Kingsimp. At least I'm happy that Daredevil had one episode and no more, because I can't even imagine what they would do to him. However, for this to work permanently, the person must also want Maya’s help, as seen when she attempted to heal Fisk but had to convince him to let her help him give up his rage and pain, in these cases the effect of that power is temporary and less effective. I mean seriously why we need Daredevil when we have Echo, she is a fusion of a hospital and a dojo.
Echo's original powers in the comics were very fun. If she can see it, she can physically replicate it. If she fights someone who knows an unknown martial art, she can do it herself. If she sees someone sword fight, she can do it as well as the masters. These powers are NOT lame. You can literally mix and match different masters into one person fighting multiple experts. The creators of this show lack any imagination to leverage this kind of power.
@@jonathangrayson9626 I just don’t understand the lack of originality, it’s so lazy. Just create new characters with new powers and it’s fine for everyone. It’s the lazy “stealing” that is really troublesome.
@@Daniel__Nobrewell these are “writers” coming from Tumblr and Reddit. I wish I was joking, but unfortunately it’s true and it’s clear as night and day
With Echo - they could have actually had her perpetual scowl be tied to her powers. Ancestral recall is one of those powers that really works if you want to include some history lessons in your story. You could build an entire series around flashback sequences where the MC recovers the skills of their ancestors and... I'm describing Assassin's Creed. A series with 13 mainline games, and one of Ubisoft's major cash cows, with Valhalla making more than $1 billion in revenue. Anyway it is a power with serious story telling potential - she gets the skills of her ancestors, but she also gets a lot of their PTSD. Have her doing a cross America quest to get closure on some of the shit that happened. Have each episode be set in a new place with a new cast of characters, and have her dealing with stuff that in some way relates to that history. Give her nightmares of what her ancestors went through during their worst moments or something, if you want to go "The Message" there's definitely stuff you can do with that. Throw in a subtheme about worrying about whether she's really an individual, or a gestalt if you want to get philosophical about it. But... that is one of the issues I've noticed with current MCU. They don't really explore the idea of powers having downsides, so they don't really think along these lines. This I think is part of the whole problem that is making their new heroines, well, boring.
I actually like that idea. Make it almost a Quantum Leap sort of thing where she has to travel to the places that the ‘echos’ lived and right some wrong that was done to them or by them in order to unlock their specific skills. Like one was a bank teller that died in a bank robbery, only for her to find out that he was in on the robbery because the memories are hazy and she has to change from trying to get revenge on the robbers to trying to make amends to the victims which helps her with her personal trauma as well. Honestly, to me it just feels like the MCU, along with a bunch of other franchises, are just seen as ‘work’ for the writers and directors. Just ‘stepping stones’ to pad out their resumes and get them the professional clout to where they can do their own thing. Kind of like someone working a job to help them through college.
How bout the original ancestor woman? She wass responsible for destroying her people's home by touching the forbidden glowy water. Then somehow she becomes their leader? Literally failed upwards She's basically Kathleen Kennedy!
@@Dru2037 uh... there's magic IN OTHER people that can heal that. There's also alien, stark and wakandan tech too. or... go to Asgard and have a literal god to heal it. lol. that's why mcu's world building is that stupid.
All dogs go to heaven, a children's cartoon about talking dogs, is unironically a more mature, thoughtful and realistic take on the idea of a gangster's redemption story than the 'mature' echo is. If anyone doubts the infantilization and encouragement of arrested development that permeates our society today just compare the two and realize that the people who wrote cartoons for toddlers twenty years ago had more respect for their audience's intelligence than the people who write stories for "mature adults" today.
Well said and completely true. I've stated it many times: writers these days have clearly not read a book since twilight. MAYBE since hunger games if we were lucky
The problem is not that they don't read. The problem is that they considering anything older than yesterday a product of a era filled with "ists" and "phobes". So they consider any basic storytelling and writing techniques, as old and antiquated and beneath them.
@@alexinfinite7142Maybe its because those writers, and many of the bean counters that hire them, are all college grads from upper-middle-class to upper-class lifestyles who never had to deal with real-world problems while the ones from the past were from lower-class homes who had more real-world experiences and know how real people talk and act.
@Lobsterwithinternet almost certainly. This is why all their "heroes" are scummy, spiteful, irresponsible children that have way more in common with villains than an actual protagonist
@@Lobsterwithinternet I saw someone on a TH-cam post write a comment that the difference between male and female power fantasies is that male power is about being able to do things, while female power is about social credit. So when a man has a power fantasy it's about being able to do good things for other people, and when a woman has a power fantasy it's about being socially accepted regardless of what she does. Which is why characters written by women tend to end up selfish and evil, but celebrated anyway.
The MCU has become a Rap Record Label in the 90's. 1 artist blows up (Tony Stark) and opens up a market that several other talents come behind. But, after a long hot run, the label starts flooding the market with trash acts until nobody buys their music.
I love how the creators of this show were like "that's not Echo, because she's cool like Taskmaster", and after seeing the abysmal representation of him we got, I am not surprised Echo is so different. Here's the thing, just because it's not the Echo, YOU wrote or enjoyed, that IS Echo. I've never seen a more blatant example of Disney/Modern Western writers re-writing a character into what and who THEY THINK it should be and not what character is. Now on paper, changing a character is not a bad thing, Thanos in the comics is a simp for lady Death, but in the MCU he has a pragmatic point that we can understand, even if his end goal is the same. But that's it, what's wrong with Disney and Modern Western writers changing pre-existing characters, is not the inherentness of the change happening, its WHAT you are changing and WHY you are changing it. To paraphrase Ian Malcolm "your people spent so much time thinking about whether or not they could, that they never stopped to consider if they should".
We can understand the point, but it's still evil. Humans don't need to die for the environment to improve. That "Thanos was right" meme going around was one of the most annoying ones I'd seen in years.
First of all, his end goal is not the same. The mean is the same, the snap, but not the goal. The goal of MCU's Thanos is to save half the universe by killing the other half due to limited resources. In the comics, his goal is to gain Death's love and is Death who wants half the universe dead, but no to save the other half, but to correct the lack of balance she believes exists, since more people were alive in that moment than the people that ever died. MCU Thanos' goal also makes no sense whatsoever, since he has the reality stone, which changes reality at his will. Comic books Thanos might be a simp to your eyes but his goal actually does make sense and from a metaphysical point of view is fantastic. I liked Infinity War, but Thanos is its greatest strength and its greatest weakness at the same time, confusing as it might be
@@SamtheBravesFanthere's a difference between empathy and sympathy. The former you don't have to agree with as argument but you understand their motive
What I thought was really dumb were the powers, there's no explanation of how they work, how she activates them, their limitations etc. They just come whenever she needs them and do whatever she needs them to do.
That's how they do all their female characters now, which is exactly why they are unlikable and unrelatable. No flaws, no struggles, no personality, no accountability. Super planks.
It's such lazy writing. You can tell better stories when a character's powers are clearly defined, but when they're not, they just become a crutch for writers who don't want to put in the work.
That's the whole point. If they don't properly explain her powers, and give it limitations, then they can make her do whatever they want her to do, whenever they want her to do it.
I mean, you hit the nail on the head when you talked about how the writers stomped the Kingpin's character because he's a man. That's been Marvel's M.O since Endgame and they're not slowing down on it. I'd say every project that's come out of that studio since Endgame has been for one purpose: To crush and bury every male character in order to elevate their female characters/counterparts into "legendary" status. That's it, that's all Marvel does now. Marvel and Disney only care about one thing anymore: crushing men and using their bodies to prop up women in a completely false narrative about how wonderful and perfect and all-powerful women are. They don't care about people that were (key word there) actually fans of the franchise, all they care about is shoving their agenda down people's throats so they can dictate social norms in their image. What's really sad about this is if they'd actually written good stories and interesting characters, people would have loved to see actual strong, well-written female characters working alongside well-written male characters. You could have actually had the legacy male characters passing the torch to female characters in a way that was respectful and made sense and resonated with fans, but that would violate Disney's agenda of "man bad". What's so funny is they even did it to their own female characters. Black Widow was one of Marvel's most popular characters, one that people were clamoring to see more of, and Disney chose to ignore that and instead focus on just curb-stomping the male characters. This is why so many legacy actors from the MCU have pretty much given Disney the finger and aren't coming back. These people built the MCU up from nothing and turned it into one of the most powerful cinematic behomoths in film and tv history... and Disney completely screwed them over in order to push an agenda which is now running that franchise into the ground. They did it with Marvel, they did it with Star Wars, they did it with every single franchise they gobbled up over the last 10-15 years and pretty soon they aren't going to have anything left... and I can't wait for it to happen.
How many will you people post the same comment on every video?? I'm asking how many likes do you want,to stop "so we don't have to watch it" anymore. I will get you likes, just say many is enough,so you can stop?
You know what's interesting to me? That with all the race swapping/gender swapping yada yada they didn't have their Fisk be black like in the 2000s daredevil movie.... I actually liked that Fisk and it's weird they'd miss a chance to pull another Nick Fury type casting. Then again with the Kang actor situation they may be avoiding more black masculinity 😂
I think absolutely everybody could see how bad this garbage of the show was, but many people just afraid to say it outloud because it would be like making fun of some "art project" made by special kids. I loved Hawkeye show but I totally forgot that Maya even was in it.
Simple way to fix this: have Maya be crazy and all of the Kingpin scenes are just how she remembers it happening. Yeah it’s kinda lazy writing, but if done right it gives Kingpin his dignity back while also adding to Maya’s character
The girl does look angry. This was supposed to be an opportunity. They could show sad stuff about her and make viewer sympathize with her. They failed to do that.
I'm guessing they left the unconnected pieces of footage because they needed to fill time but, they didn't have anything else to replace them It's amazing for me to think about all the money wasted creating this show
They're bent on representing deaf people, and they named her Echo... Even the most "hateful" detractors wouldn't have called her Echo. (There's no excuse for keeping the name, when they changed her GD powers, etc)
they probably did it for the ppl who doesn't follow comics. I actually didn't know about it until watching Utube videos like this about it. There's irony on the name, since her comic's ability seems to return her enemies like a radar's echo. And in here, she is an echo of her ancestors. Since Representayshawn was a key aspect of this production....
"In 5 episodes there may be 3 scenes where Maya breaks off a second facial expression" 100% exactly this. I've watched 3 reviews so far and 1 out of like 30 clips showed her smiling and I'm not even exaggerating. It was all that same surly face.
I think their biggest mistake is choosing a lead who wasn't even remotely attractive. Hint: It's why we like actors in the first place. They aren't as ugly as we are, so we like looking at them. After that, it was choosing a lead who not only wasn't attractive, but didn't have an ounce of charisma, or worse, acting ability.
"Her power in the comic books is that she can copy anything, any movement, any whatever." So she's basically a poor Native American ripoff of Taskmaster?
In the comics, she is an orphan and wasn't raised as a Native American, so a huge part of her first stories is her search for identity, which becomes interesting when you remember that her ability is just to copy the movements of other persons. So, she has to find out where she starts and her adapted abilities begin. Of course this is to hard for Disney to build a story around.
The sad part is all the mainstream critics are of course virtue signaling all over this. They LOVE it. Which is exactly why Disney keeps doing it. All that matters is it is a show about a disabled Native American. She could have spent five episodes whistling in a room watching TV and they would love it. They are petrified of saying anything negative about this at all. There is soo many far left PC boxes that are checked with this show, they would rather die than criticize it. All it missed was Maya saving puppies. And Disney knows it so they learn nothing.
After 5000 years of honing the craft of story telling, Marvel writers have decided that they know better and thrown out all those unnecessary things like good characters, intimidating villains, empathetic characters, good passing, actual plot etc. Calling the writers of echo "story tellers", is like calling a 4 year olds stick-figure drawing "artistic". It's shit. It's embarrassing. it's awful. But at least the 4 year old have an excuse for it. The writers don't.
I kept asking myself, why Echo never bothered to read lips? Especially when she wants everyone to know ASL. You can easily make everyone PRONOUCE while signing and it will be better for us as viewer
What's funny is them going on and on about wanting to be authentic is. There's nothing authentic about echo. They changed echos abilities from the comics. The girl who beats a man at stickball. Bc there was no women who played stickball. There's been female warriors in the past. Like Joan of Arc. There was certainly not as many female warrior they put in echo. So even if there was one or two back then. It wasn't all of the women kicking all the butt. The least authentic is the girl who played echo IRL she's not Choctaw. She's Menominee and Mohican. I know actors can play characters they're not IRL. However these are the same ppl that will tell us actors can't play characters they're not IRL. Once again these ppl are proven to be hypocrites. And they don't know what authentic means. It's also funny this director who called echos abilities lame. She thinks the powers she gave echo are amazing. In the words of the legendary Gene Wilder strike that reverse it.
Thanks Thorias. I was never gonna watch this anyway. That D'Onofrio interview, where he strives mightily to stay respectful while saying the show was garbage was enough to scotch any interest. But it's fun to watch you hate things. Let's hope the rest of the year is better.
With all the boxes she checks, it’ll probably be hard not to give this a second season. The one thing these companies hate more than losing money is being hated by randos and bots on twitter/X.
Imagine this show done correctly. It would be about a villain vs villain story, something we've never seen, following one of the best villains apprentices on a mission to replace their master. Add in the ability to mimic moves, and you have a really awesome martial arts crime film here with the move and counter-move game of Daredevil season 1, only without any code of ethics. Instead we basically watched Echo become a straight up demigod with the powers of half a superhero team. So 'street level.'
Good to see Thoria up and feeling better. I've only watched the first episode but it was a mess. I felt like someone slipped me a edible, just the sequence of her backstory jumped around with no way of gauging when things happen date wise. I did skip her for the most part in hawkeye but i ASSUMED being a amputee who works for kingpin she would have a bionic replacement. Bucky and misty both have replacement limbs, why not her? Then how could she hang with daredevil on a normal artificial leg just her balance and force wouldn't be enough to hang with him. Also i havent seen the magic powers yet so does that explain any of that fight?
Two characters from an entirely different (and superior) property and they had to waste one (small blessings, little screen time) and ruin the other (just... damn).
The saddest part is, Echo COULD'VE been an interesting character for the MCU, even with the stupid "ancestor calling" powers. They could've made a show like Animal Man, with the MC having to learn more about herself.
Ok so I’ve watched 3 different TH-cam commentaries on Echo and I have heard “She goes home to Oklahoma” “She goes home to Alabama” and “She goes home to Kentucky” respectively. No shade on any of you guys but woah… 😂 That bad huh. That no one really even knows the main location.
That moment when Rubberband Man's story arc from Static Shock, is more mature, interesting and has a better payoff, than the so-called "mature" Echo. And Static Shock was a cartoon.
What has me confused is exactly how the new Star Wars director is going to make men "Uncomfortable". From everything I've heard about Echo leads me to believe that uncomfortable = cringe. Maybe the next Star Wars movie will be such bad effanist cringe, the audience will feel "uncomfortable"?
i actually WANT to see echo TRY to copy the moves of the enemy... (i mean without any prior training in martial arts aaaaand with one leg)..so i believe they changed her "powers" not because it is lame but because it looked lame when the echo tried to repeat any set of moves.
The one leg thing doesn't make sense in a world where robotics is advanced. On top of that, she worked for Kingpin, who has access to that type of tech. Them adding the "tap into the girl boss ancestry power" is an okay idea. For a new character....... Also, the producers claimed authenticity in the history around the western natives and did not truthfully do it. Absolutely, both men and women worked together, and it wasn't always, "You're a woman, you can't do that." There were reasons for roles, and it isn't because of the patriarchy. Survival darn it. Why did the writers make Kingpin a wimp?
About the acting of the lead character……firstly, she’s not an actor….at all. She readily admits Theon,y acting experience she had was a high school play. That’s it. She was cast simply because she responded to an open call for indigenous actors who were deaf. When she showed up and they found out she also happened to be an amputee, just like the character, how could they possibly turn her away? They basically went for the wrong checkboxes….instead of trying to find an indigenous, deaf amputee, they should have been looking for an indigenous professional/experienced actor with martial arts/fighting skills that they could coach in ASL and cgi the leg. They also changed the tribe that the character was from to instead match the tribe the actress was from….for “authenticity”. Secondly, being as I live in New Mexico and have had dealing with Native American peoples, they do tend to be a very stoic, unexpressive folk….especially to Anglos. It’s only when you get to know them very well after a lengthy time that they let you see them emoting on any level, so I suppose her bland one expression is actually a fairly accurate depiction of how they generally deal with other folk outside their own.
I appreciate that Thorias differentiates between the actor's performance and the way the character is written, because it really isn't an actor's fault when they're giving it their all but the writing or directing isn't there
It's comic books 101: if your villain is garbage your hero is irrelevant. Here's a horrible thought, since Disney can't handle a man winning instead of a woman, Echo just might pop up on Daredevil Born Again as the new 'Kingpin!' It would explain why they let Daredevil win against Echo.
I'd like to suggest a new segment to these views: Reviewing the writers and showrunners. I did an experiment recently and started going to old shows that were good and comparing them to new ones. The most junior writers on Daredevil had 50+ credits with extensive genre experience, going well over a hundred for the senior writers. The average number of credits for writers on Secret Invasion and Echo... 0 to 4. A few people did 30ish on a single show. It's SHOCKING. Some of them don't even have short films, and most of the credits that are there are network comedies and documentaries. If anyone asks 'why does this stuff suck now?' I think that's a comprehensive answer. They're giving billion dollar ships to people who haven't learned to swim.
Bingo, all that's important is diversity , female, and activists, they literally kicked everyone who was white and male, the highly experienced people..ffs

They fell in their own DEI trap. Not to release a Show about a deaf, indigenous Woman, even if this Show really bad, was not possible without damaging their woke branding of New MARVEL. And now they have to pay for. Ruining Kingpin, weakening Daredevel and finally burning the Echo character. However, no mercy from me, they just did it to themselves.
Echo is crap on so many levels. This show is a tiered piece of crap. It is nothing but shallow representation just for the sake of representation and checking boxes. It’s embarrassing at best and insulting at worst.
It's both. She was directed to act like that, but also she's NOT an actress. Literally, she isn't an actress. She was working in an amazon facility I think, she was told Marvel was looking for a deaf one legged native american woman, and she just so happened to be that, so since she was the only one who auditioned that fit that, she got the part. She is LITERALLY 100% a diversity hire. She is not an actor, she cannot act, so they made it so she doesn't NEED to act by including NO scenes where she needs to act. The only acting needed is for her to do sign language and then other people also do sign language so there's no emotional impact to anything because either people aren't talking, and you can't express emotions with just waving your hands, or worse, they ARE talking. But they're talking while doing sign language, so they're REALLY stilted and unnaturally talking to give the show time to subtitle their words. Ugggggh. You CAN act if you're deaf, but your face needs to be REALLY expressive, your body language needs to be TOP tier. She is obviously not that, it's very clear, you don't even need to watch more than a few scenes to realize that. She isn't an actor. She's here because of diversity, just like most of the "actors" and "directors" and "writers" that Marvel hires.

Wasn’t there already a villain that had those exact powers? Taskmaster or something?
@@Daniel__Nobre Yeah... Taskmaster...The original copycat of copycats. Gee, it's like all the male powers are given to women who didn't work for it.

Ehh that sounds kind of dumb to be honest
Trust me, Echo is FAR worse than She Hulk.
Every aspect is terrible in this show and the "Gurl Power" is sicken.
So Echo has access to all the powers and abilities her ancestors had...
And she's still deaf?
How bout the original ancestor woman? She wass responsible for destroying her people's home by touching the forbidden glowy water. Then somehow she becomes their leader? Literally failed upwards
She's basically Kathleen Kennedy!
DONT QUESTION THE NARRATIVE, BIGOT!
I like to think she COULD cure it, but that would lose precious victim points.
@@MariaIsabellaZNNnothing about her powers show she has a healing factor and the actress is deaf in real life.
@@Dru2037 uh... there's magic IN OTHER people that can heal that. There's also alien, stark and wakandan tech too. or... go to Asgard and have a literal god to heal it. lol. that's why mcu's world building is that stupid.
You have to somehow respect the utter "Turd Layer Cake" that the writers have created without even trying.
@@Lobsterwithinternet
I saw someone on a TH-cam post write a comment that the difference between male and female power fantasies is that male power is about being able to do things, while female power is about social credit.
That... Is accurate. 😂
So accurate as a 90s child….
@@SamtheBravesFan agreed, it was soooo annoying
He had the reality stone, he could've just doubled the resources.
Indian girl magic of course
That's how they do all their female characters now, which is exactly why they are unlikable and unrelatable. No flaws, no struggles, no personality, no accountability. Super planks.
So, it’s basically “because the plot said so”.
"Somehow Palpe...err.... Kingpin returned". There, I explained it for you Abrams style.
Thank you sir for falling on the grenade for us. This show is being savaged and for good reason...while Disney burns, because they learn nothing.
Thanks for posting and doing the hard work so we don't have to watch it!

Simple way to fix this: have Maya be crazy and all of the Kingpin scenes are just how she remembers it happening. Yeah it’s kinda lazy writing, but if done right it gives Kingpin his dignity back while also adding to Maya’s character

They're bent on representing deaf people, and they named her Echo...
Even the most "hateful" detractors wouldn't have called her Echo.

They should have called it Plank instead. That makes infinitely more sense than Echo.

There's irony on the name, since her comic's ability seems to return her enemies like a radar's echo. And in here, she is an echo of her ancestors. Since Representayshawn was a key aspect of this production....
Now the deaf people wishes they are blind after watching this or if they watch this
Echo can't act her way out of a wet paper bag.

@@chazzitz-wh4ly how did she hear about it though?

I think the “look” you were trying to describe can best be described as “constipated.”
😂😂😂😅 oh my goodness soo horrible!!
You forgot. Deaf, amputee, AND native American. Gotta check all of those boxes.
If we ever discover that the people running Disney are working for the competition, I wouldn't be surprised... Not even one bit!
I really liked that they had a roller rink called "Make America Skate Again" tho. That was great.
If the comics couldnt make her interesting, imagine some hack who cant hack a paper in half.
Why this man doesn’t have 200,000 subs is beyond me. Thanks for being consistently entertaining and on point !!
A new year a new terrible show to roast
You know, if her power is feud ex machine because ancestors did stuff, how come she still can’t hear?
A question the writers probably should have asked themselves, especially after they literally gave her (and her mother) healing powers.
Thanks Thorias. I was never gonna watch this anyway. That D'Onofrio interview, where he strives mightily to stay respectful while saying the show was garbage was enough to scotch any interest. But it's fun to watch you hate things. Let's hope the rest of the year is better.
I would NOT be surprised if there is a second season😞
I think it is time I rewatched Netflix Daredevil. Just a reminder of what a good show looks like.
Hmm yeah I noticed the audio in this vid was odd. Can’t really place it .. just seemed somehow subdued.
There's a post in the community tab about how the audio ended up the way it did. I'm trying to get this issue fixed before the next video.
No shade on any of you guys but woah…
😂
That bad huh. That no one really even knows the main location.
Echo could of been a breath of fresh air in MCU TV as a more mature show but instead it's a fart in a crowded elevator.
Weird, the Indian tribe had all these powers yet no longer exist. Oh, well.
“So bad, your average content creator on TH-cam could’ve done better” thanks for the plug Bro!😂
Vincent D'onofrio doesn't deserve this.
Yet another (insert deep sarcasm here) "quality" piece of work from DEI Productions.
If a lot of D-words (rhymes with bikes) like a movie/show, it's likely bad.
i actually WANT to see echo TRY to copy the moves of the enemy... (i mean without any prior training in martial arts aaaaand with one leg)..so i believe they changed her "powers" not because it is lame but because it looked lame when the echo tried to repeat any set of moves.
I am dreading what they will do to Dr. Doom and I haven't been watching anything MCU in years.
i am gonna bet that dr. doom is the ONLY black man in latveria and that's the reason why he's dr. doom. lol.

Why did the writers make Kingpin a wimp?
not just that. aliens, magic and gods walks on earth and you can have access to that and yet can't somehow fix an amputee.
I appreciate that Thorias differentiates between the actor's performance and the way the character is written, because it really isn't an actor's fault when they're giving it their all but the writing or directing isn't there
Always a good day when thorias uploads 🙏

However, no mercy from me, they just did it to themselves.
Your analysis is spot on. Great TH-cam channel.
Ugggggh.
